I would choose Philippines Airlines because. NO CHANGING PLANES. I travel extensively due to work. Tried both airlines. And recently Philippine Airlines to Vancouver, Business class was full so had to take economy. The service on PAL was horrible, the crew were rude both ways and the PAL airport staff was the most impolite and unhelpful people. Was surprised as, everywhere else filipinos are extremely friendly and one would expect that from PAL.By far China Airlines is better, language is not an issue to me. SERVICE is and PAL has a long way to go!!!

I have tried both airlines and I'd say that China Airlines is my choice. They treat economy passengers as if they were first class ticket holders. Philippine Airlines will not go the extra mile unless you are flying first class.

I hate going through airport security, over and over again.( sometimes you don't have to go through security when switching planes) Philippine airlines, you just go through security ONCE and less chance of loosing your bags while if you change planes in 3 different countries, odds of the airline loosing your bags goes up big time.

I travel extensively due to work. Tried both airlines. And recently Philippine Airlines to Vancouver, Business class was full so had to take economy. The service on PAL was horrible, the crew were rude both ways and the PAL airport staff was the most impolite and unhelpful people. Was surprised as, everywhere else filipinos are extremely friendly and one would expect that from PAL.By far China Airlines is better, language is not an issue to me. SERVICE is and PAL has a long way to go!!!

Ang dinowngrade po ay ang pilipinas, yung bansa po hindi yung airline. ito po ay pagkukulang ng ATO hindi ng pal. Ang faa ay nagalit sa ato kasi during an inspection may mga important safety records na hindi mai produce ng kung sinong kamote doon sa ato kaya dahil dito na downgrade ang pilipinas. again, ang bansa ang dinowngrade, hindi ang pal or any other philippine based carrier.
