Agree. I've been playing with these blues things and to be able to just sit and play extemporaneously is fulfilling and friends/family enjoy this. But one simply has to get the left hand down where you can do it and practically be able to read a book/have a conversation at the same time, then you can get free with vocals and the right hand both.
@Riverdale270 SRV wrote most of his shuffles off of this sequence. I wouldn't say it's an exaggeration at all. This is one of the broadest riff concepts in blues...
@PilotDoofy I mean't that the same riff for 12 bars while just changing the starting note is pretty basic... Listen to what SRV playes over his shuffles.... you'll hear monster solo's. Anyways, you know what I mean right. This blues is very basic, it's a foundation, but the right hand usually goes much much further in a real song. But this is a good practise ofcourse...
i still have a problem with the koordination of my hands but i don't have an idea how to practice anyway like it ^^ it actually in comparisme with others very helpful ^^ (now ma wrist hurts damn to unrelaxed^^ -.-)
no it's not - keep practising that bass left hand until your bored stiff - when you can do bits with your right hand on top , you know it's coming along - it takes pain and practice to learn if you want to
My recommend pedal use. I mean some people like that, but when you play that repetitive bass line, it sounds more tedious without the pedal. I find when you use the pedal it helps mask the fact you are just repeating yourself.
Nice one. YOur going to get me playing again!

Id say look at the blues scale, keep the Left hand that he was playing, and try mixing notes in the jazz scale and making it sound like that.
