Looks like too much work, starting to think I don't want this case anymore. I mean at the price it goes for, they should have at least painted the interior matte black to match. Even my 902 has that. The back panel is also fugly silver, reminds me of my old eMachine.

ahhh yeah sorry I'm shattered, I agree the AMD edition looks really nice. I was unhappy with how this looked in the end and it's currently cut up in my garage, I intend to reconstruct it when I'v finished saving the money I need for going to Africa. But it's going to look really modded then :D

I did my whole case Matt Black inside and out. Used Grey Primer + Flat black paint.

I am planning to paint mine inside flat black. could you please tell me what paint you used (galvanized steel appropriate?) and if it has to withstand any tempretures and not have side effetcs, like stinking. ty. also because of my condition - I wont unrivet the case, just use painter's tape and coverings.

for sanding what? the laquer wasn't wetsanded as this was just a test. otherwise it was 800 grit on the metal :)

sweet (sorry for the slow reply, had to go out for food) The plastic i would suggest using some plastic primer and then yeah use the normal paint on top of that. I personally wouldn't sand the plastic unless it was scratched or already had paint upon it. Yeah I would say duplicolour would do fine ( I want to get a spray gun, but may have to spend my money going away insted) To remove the orignal paint use a 180 grit and then work upwards to 800 grit (atm my

I recived it at about 6am in the morning, sanded and sprayed it the same day and then left it to dry over night. I was going to do red but couldn't find a red that really stood out and I wasn't sure if i wanted red 120mm fans or not. Its a very easy mod just take your time and be carfull not to drill the rivets out poorly. If there's anything else you need to know just say

I think you did a nice job for not having sand blasting and a professional air brushing booth at your disposal. Time will tell if there is some heat issue that ruins the paint. Very nice job....... my 'new' CM comes in a week. Will be my third CM. The last two were lovely automotive paint Blue, 810 & Wave lmtd edition cases. Yours was the first vid I saw on uTube, and I am inspired to give painting a go myself now*-) Albeit, sand, prime and paint carefully x5.

eh, i probobly would do it more proffesionally. because the way you did it raises your temps a bit, and with time will chip or get thinner...not to hate on you :) you also took a risk of not properly painting it, therefore shocking an ungrounded mobo.

is any raise at all it would be so minimal you would not notice unless you were measuring the temperature to fractions of a degree. heat will dissipate the same as it would if unpainted

Hey, yeah I'm interested in the kind of spray gun you used. I've had terrible results with can spraying (dripping and rippling which eventually led to overpainting and curing problems). Does car quality painting mean a specail set of equipment and paint ... where can I find this at?

i don't know if car quality paint makes the diffrence, but i got it from a garage but most car shops should sell them (big ones that sell ots of tuning gear) i was going to airbrush, but it would have cost me loads more so i just used spray cans now this might sound stupid but did you sand your case before you sprayed?

Well my HAF isn't painted (lol but now the idea is growing in the back of my mind so yeah we'll see). But on the botched jobs I had previously it was on a plastic xbox case which was sanded and primed. I think I was overpainting ... plus I don't have a clean area set up (no garage at my place) so I must have been rushed.

hey sorry i didn't want to get paint on my camera so i didn't but what i used was a grey prima and a matt black for all the areas i wanted black ( i did 7 coats of matt black on it) oh also i sanded off every pannel i wanted to paint with a 100grit and then 150 sandpaper. I used the same grey prima for the blue its a metalic blue for ford ( i used all paints intended for cars for this ) is there anything you want to know about what to do?
