@TheRazor2212 Then it might be your game's problem. Is the disk scratchless? If it scratchy then do not wonder about this problem if it appears on two different console. You can get this game from PSN -of course if you're in a supported region- or get a copy from ebay i'ts not so rare like the PC version.
@vm93HUN I stopped using automatic transmission. Now I can safely use manual transmission, if racing games have transmission selection. But automatic gear change doesn't switch gears when I want.
"The game runs only on 32bit version of Windows 7!" - not only 32bit my friend :) I thought that myself until I downloaded Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit and set one option in it for motorhead, and it runs fine on Win 7 64bit. Without 3d acceleration though, but I solved this problem too by using nGlide, and it runs better than ever.
To fix the menu bug just right click desktop>screen resolution. KEEP THIS WINDOW OPENED! Just minimize if you want, and RUN the game and the menu works fine.It's a bug with Win7 no longer supporting DirectDraw. To install right click start.exe and set compatibility mode windows 98/ME and start again the autorun. Install...Download the patch 3.0 right click mhp30 and set again compat mode win98/ME. Download geforce HUD patch if yu got a geforce and play :)

@TheRazor2212 Then your console is bad. Upgrade to an PS3, its price droped down to 250$/€ and it plays the most PS1 game.

But the installer doesn't supports the 64bit OS so you can't istall on it
