It was believed that a conservative like Reagan could not win in the more liberal states, and he won all but 6 in 1980. Four years later the conservative Reagan won 49 states. It is not true that a conservative cannot win in the more liberal states like Ohio, New York, or Delaware.

Bachmann is the most conservative and I can't believe I'm saying this but Ron paul is even starting to look good compared to these two. Obama will lose more votes to Romney than he will to Gingrich. The Obama 'attack machine' is going after Romney, not Gingrich. Obama knows that Independents, Moderates and some Democrats will support Romney. The GOP knows that ALL of the good ideas, from ALL of the candidates, will end up in Congress. Who better can influence those Bills than Newt?

Victory is not social conservatism. Victory is defeating Obama, Romney-Gingrich style.
