  • i would of got this but i want a 4wd i was so sad when i found it its only 2wd :'( why losi why

  • I just got a high roller from a friend and it needs a motor and esc. I already have a traxxas rustler and ill compare them once I get the high roller up and running.

  • @scopez4u Transmitter, yes, battery and charger are sold separately though

  • "This tall grass" -- dead and brown. :-P

  • how fast does it go?

  • @MoparMania980 About 20MPH out-of-the-box

  • @Xeverything1 Again I'd suggest checking out the Fuze systems for the Slash. Good value and really good performance.

  • @Xeverything1 1/10-scale

  • @Xeverything1 the Dynamite Fuze systems would work quite well, such as the 3300kV system. for LiPo check out the Dynamite Silver Series of LiPos that were just announced last week.

  • Does anyone know how long it takes to charge???

  • @GhettoNinjaMan All depends on the capacity of the battery. 25-45 minutes is a fair guess though depending on the pack of course.

  • What is a Transponder?

  • @MrMicroSCT Its a device mounted inside a car or truck that is needed for lap timing and scoring.

  • @flamethrower41 It is $159.99

  • how fast will this truck run (stock)?

  • is that the battery pack that comes with the truck???

  • @redlynx43 I'd say so. The ones I've taken it up and over have been done pretty easily.

  • @kawasaki6697 If you get a 7-cell stick pack, yes, but again please note that the stock ESC will not handle the additional voltage.

  • @kawasaki6697 Not with the stock ESC, however the truck itself could handle the extra power.

  • is it 4x4

  • @SAMANDME12345 It is 2WD-only

  • :( Wish they would have a crap load of hop ups like roll cage and stuff. i wish it was like the wheely king where pretty much any part for any vehicle would fit.

  • @03prinz Pretty much any 200mm car body. i have a 2008 hpi subaru rally body on it and it fits percfect except i need taller front and rear body mount posts. i use little kid kinects (I dont know how to spell it) about like 5 or 6 inches long and i just sanded them down a little and drilled a hole for the pins and they work aweomse. plus it looks SICK!

  • Ya Know AnyWhere i Could Get A steel spur gear? cause i keep stripping the plastic ones so i ordered some kevlar ones. cause i cant find any steel ones.

  • can the high roller mud bog

  • @024316seth It is not water proof so I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Hey question. i went WAY over kill on my truck. i have a 6800kv motor running on a lipo, and my back tires balloon. so i was wondering what would fix that? i was thinking of getter either new tires, new rims, or low profile tires. what should i get to fix this.

  • @wakjob94 You'd need to either use reinforced/belted tires or foams to prevent that from happening.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom Ok thanks. what would you suggest? I'm looking for some with a deep tread. would mud thrasher tires work?

  • @wakjob94 I don't think those are reinforced or belted, sorry.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom ok thanks

  • @HorizonRCdotCom ok. the only offroad belted tires i can find are the maxxis tires that fit on a blitz. can u help me? because i really dont know what kind of tires i should buy. like if i should buy tires that are made for vehicles that goes fast or...i dont know. im toatally confused because there are so many to choose from.

  • mongdex, both suck stampede is the way to go

  • wheely king or jighroller for mud/water bashing?

  • if this has the same motor as the losi desert truck, how come this slower

  • @MBfishboy13 The HIGHroller has different gearing and a different transmission.

  • I have got alot of problems with this truck, Can you please suggest me anything because I keep on losing my tranny every other day (4 times), I am running HPI RACING 5700Kv brushless system with & 7 cell (8.4v,5000 mah Nimh) battery. I have installed that alloy idler gear (but it stripped too), Should I go with the ball differential or not? Anyone please, help me with any suggestions

  • @TheRizwan1377 Make sure you have the slipper clutch set right. It sounds like you have it cranked down and there's no give anywhere else in the transmission so the idler is what's giving way.

  • That looks like a lot of fun, but I don't like that wide wheelbase hanging out of the body like that.

  • what top speeds were you getting

  • @MrJoelucius Out of the box we were seeing about 18-20MPH

  • my motor gets REALLY HOT and after about 20 min it overheats and has to cool down...what should i do? or is there anything i can to to help it not over heat?

  • @wakjob94 Install either a smaller pinion or larger spur. That will help reduce temps.

  • U r so good at describing rc cars I'm gonna get it once I get the money

  • roomate says he can flip any rc car or truck.

  • @metaldude97482 Out of the box we were seeing about 18-20MPH

  • got one and it is BEAST for offroading and jumping. works best on pavement and gravel.

  • How long does the battery last? whats parts are most likely to break when bashing?

  • @wakjob94 We got a good 12-15 minutes out of the pack we used here. Breakage hasn't really been much of an issue. I know some people have torn up the idler gear in the transmission, but there's a metal version that is a direct fit.

  • can you run a NI-Cd battery pack in it?

  • @boatwake Yes you can

  • did

  • got it today.....the ESC fried littarly it BURNED

  • @boatwake Contact product support, they should be able to get you straightened out. (877) 504-0233

  • how fast is it stock?

  • @boatwake Out of the box we were seeing about 18-20MPH

  • good video!!!

  • is it 4wd

  • @SpiderDriver2456 It is not

  • y isnt it 4wd?

  • @GrehgTube 4wd would have increased costs and required a totally different chassis design.

  • is it as tough as a traxxas stampede?

  • does it really run 8-12 mins

  • Pretty consistently, yes.

  • u need to REDO the review, and REALLY bash it.

  • got the micro version, would like a mini version now!

  • They just announced a Mini-HIGHroller...within the last 2 weeks I want to say. LOSB0207 is the part number.

  • why do horizonrc dont review traxxas products???

  • We have been trying to work to rectify this but it's slow going. We're trying, that's the best I can say right now.

  • I'd like to know how you make the High Roller turn that good. I have one and it takes 30 ft or better to turn it around.

  • Adjust the servo throw on your transmitter. There's a dial to the left of the wheel. I think if you turn it clockwise it will increase your steering throw.

  • What scale is it? I'm thinking this or the desert truck? What do you think is better?

    Please reply

  • This is 1/10-scale.

They are two different types of vehicles with different handling characteristics. The Desert Truck is lower to the ground and has better "race track-style" handling. By that I mean it's not going to have as much traction roll and will fell more sure footed on race tracks. The HIGHroller has greater ground clearance, meaning it can go over more things. It's also going to have more chassis roll due to this too. Better for "natural" areas like a backyard than the Desert Truck

  • scared to jump it i c...typical

  • There was nothing around to jump really, otherwise I would have skied the truck over and over.

  • can i convert it to nitro

  • There is not a nitro conversion.

  • so if i put a 7.2v 4200 Venom Battery is it a 6 cell battery if not will it affect my car and can i still run my car with it

  • You can run that battery with the HIGHroller, yes.

  • does this car come with a battery to run it right when you buy it

  • It does not

  • hey man i had a light set on it and it got messed up it was a losi light set any tips on fixing it please reply

  • can it handle good on jumps

  • can it handle good on jumps?

  • how long can u go before the battery fully runs out

  • With the pack I ran I got a good 12-15 minutes at least.

  • whats the top speed?

  • As tested out of the box I saw speeds of between 18-20mph on our radar gun.

  • that aint bad at all! thanks

  • how long does it take to fully charge the battery you used?

  • At about 5amps it took about 40 minutes

  • i'm going to retire my losi xxxt, i've been looking for something new, I dont do track racing anymore, im more of a "construction site basher" again, i have been debating between the Traxxis Slash, the Losi Desert Truck, and this, for a basher truck the price is perfect on this truck, but how durable is it? and how would it do as a basher?, also i would be dropping in a castle 5700, will this truck withstand brushless systems?

  • It's designed as a basher actually. It should handle the brushless ok but I would recommend upgrading to the aluminum idler gear and perhaps to the aluminum diff gear that is coming in the new Losi Strike. Speaking of which you might want to check out the Strike as an option too. We just posted a review a few days ago.

  • thanks for the quick reply, I haven't heard about the strike, i will check it out thanks! how does this high roller compare to the stampede?

  • Both are pretty good trucks, but since the Stampede has been out longer there's more aftermarket support at this time. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of Losi parts for the HIGHroller, but just not as much from companies like RPM for example. I'm not 100% but I think the Stampede comes with Plastic Shocks, the HIGHroller comes with threaded aluminum too. Top speed and handling are pretty similar too.

  • ah yes good point they do come with plastic shocks, i had to up my rustler to aluminum.....i think it was my rustler, i really like the looks of the losi DT, not so much the strike, but for the price, the highroller or stampede is right where i want to spend, but then i think i could fork out a little more and have a DT or Slash or Strike, but i dont think they will bash as well as the highroller or stampede....decisions decisions

  • Either the Slash or Strike will be faster than the HIGHroller out of the box. But like you said they won't bash as well as the HIGHroller will

  • i have a stock stampede vxl brushless and it does instant wheelies and it is a really good basher it also has a top speed of about 35 mph with the 5000 mah battery i have it also last about 1 hour plus with a 5000 mah battery i love it sooo much it has been a lot of fun and i have never had a problem with the plastic shocks

  • @1f0und1 get a traxxas! please. you will regret this. i cant stand the amount of repairs i have to do on this truck. i've spent more money on repairs (About $300+ to date) then i did on the truck. plus it sucks that the hobby store here never has what i need so i always have to wait for pparts. i've had it for about 6 months and only used it 8 times or so.

  • 5/5 GREAT!

  • how much volage can it take?

    7,2 or 7,4

  • 7.2, it is not rated for LiPo use.

  • are side-by-side battery packs more expensive than standard ones? please answer.

  • Generally they're about the same price. However side-by-side packs are often hand-assembled so, since there's a higher cost of production you may have a slightly higher cost to you.

  • What rims and tires can I use on my HIGHroller besides the stock ones?

My rears wore out pretty quick.

  • The stock ESC is rated up to 7.2v, so no it won't handle a 7-cell out of the box. If you upgrade the ESC and motor with an Xcelorin Brushless system you can run 7-cell without a problem, and of course, LiPo. I am working on a video now to demonstrate how to do this that should be up in the next week to 10-days.

  • how strong exactly is it?

    how fast does it go?

Please answer because I really need to know!

  • We've yet to break anything on it as of yet. One thing I did do early on was replace the kit plastic idler gear with the upgraded aluminum one (LOSB3548). Speed out of the box was nearly 20 Miles per hour. I hope this helps.

  • on your website. is the Robinson Racing Products alum gear diffs of the SPT(Speed-T/XXX-T will beable to slip placement into the HRL(HighRoller)? cause when people place brushless and such.they seem to have a cause of the diff gear breaking alot.

  • Sorry but no. The transmissions are not the same from the Speed-T/XXX-T to the HIGHroller.

  • whats the tooth count on the Highroller vs the Speed-T/DT/XXX-T tooth count. (on the diffs only.).

  • has losi made any awd car except for their nitro cars?

  • Yes, several actually. Obviously there are the sedans, the Street Weapon/Rally Weapon, XXX-S, JRx-S, then there's also the XX-4 and XXX-4 4WD Buggies. Finally there's the LST-based trucks as well.

  • Thanks again for taking the time out to respond to my questions. I know your very busy.

  • We aim to please :) We may not always do it but it's not for a lack of effort...

  • Are we going to see a review of the new LST XXL?

  • I've actually got time slated to be in the studio to record it today! Hopefully it will be live and online within a week or two, depending on the editing time (note to self, fewer flubs makes for quicker production time :) )

  • That's awesome! I have my own bashing vids on here but not very many XXL vids period. I was wondering where can I find the review for the LST2, I was looking through your channel and didn't see it but I do remember seeing one on the official Horizon Hobby site a while ago. Where you spoke of how much or little it takes to get it track ready. I wanted to see it again.

  • Are you talking about the "Ultimate Race LST2" Project I did about 2 years ago? If you go to to the Horizon Hobby website and go to the LST2 product page you'll see a list of related articles on the right. It's the top link there. I never did a review of the truck itself, never had one to do it with when it first came out. I'd post the link here but for some reason YouTube discards a comment if it has a URL in it.

  • Thank you so much sir, you truly are in touch with your fans etc... For future reference know that you click on my name and you can send links in (send message) that area of the page.

Again thanks for your help, I will subscribe to your channel.

  • Thanks and I got ya there. What I mean is I cannot post a link right here in the reply/comments field. YouTube must see that as a violation of TOS or something.

  • can this truck handle a losi brushless system?

  • I'd say it should be able to handle the Losi 17.5 sensored brushless or the 4800kv Sensorless system pretty well. To go brushless I'd recommend installing the optional aluminum idler gear for better durability, LOSB3548 is that part number

  • I'd be interested to know if Stampede sales even flinch because of this truck. The body looks nicer than the Stampede, but durability and aftermarket support will never come close.

  • is this water proof

  • No it is not.

  • is there anyway tht u could make this truck a 4wd drive cause i really want it n i like it alot like how high it is but i want to be able to go over snow or like be less likely to get caught on stuff so is there anyway or any possible solutions for about the same price tht is 4wd

  • Sorry no, there's no conversion to make it 4WD.

  • I love my High Roller, so much fun to drive.

  • OK man it´s good for a eletric rc but is 4wd ou 2wd?

  • 2WD

  • How fast does it go

  • We saw speeds between 19-22MPH, depending on the battery. It felt faster than that.

  • awesome truck but i would rather a traxxas E-revo... that thing is too cool though

  • Well dude their like completly different truck

  • I was hoping it would be a solid axle. If it was I would convert it to a crawler.

  • Woot first view! Sweet video, now I want one!
