Once I've synced, how do I get the contacts into the address book on my phone?

how do I remove the sync circle from the mini bar. the unsync with google accounts in unticked, but it still syncs

hey nice vid. I have a problem though. I did all the steps but when it came to me syncing the contacts using the "sync now" button, the icon rotates for like 5 seconds and then does nothing. It also doesn't update my contacts when i check on google contacts online :S help?

Thanks very much. Are you able one group? Also if I change a contact on my mac will i need to re sync with google accounts, and if i change it on my phone will it update on mac or only google accounts

@djroo200: No need to sync manually again it will do it automatically when you update contacts on your phone or on your Mac......... just make sure that you see the sync icon on your Mac desktop if that is there things will sync automatically.

Somethings not right when I try this so Im afraid to do it.. I get a 'warning' that it will change 25% of my computer contacts...but that is impossible because just a couple days ago I exported my mac address book to Gmail. I clicked on 'details' and its showing the same exact contact information for everything its claiming it will change so now Im really worried. I think I need to just get an iPhone. Trying to sync Android with macs is causing me lots of stress - and not working right

Someone told me to export my contacts to Gmail which seems to be similar but a more complicated step. if I do your step of synchronizing with Google from the Accounts tab, will it duplicate entries or is there a way to prevent that? Don't want 2 copies of everything. Also to sync on the phone, do you need to have a data connection or wifi - I don't know what Im doing wrong but sometimes it syncs and sometimes it doesnt. I need a way to sync ical with Android and keep my ical colored calendars

Thank you for this. How about syncing the rest of the data like iTunes, iCal, Notes, Videos, Pictures, and Mail?

I basically want to be able to sync my Android with my Mac OS the way I do my Blackberry and Mac.

Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

@johnzj: Hmm very interesting..... could you let me know which version of Mac OS X are you using. Example: (Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion etc)

@johnzj: Is your leopard installation updated you need at-least Mac OS X 10.5.3 for it to work and in leopard the interface panel is a bit different, the option is in the general tab of the address book preferences (see at the bottom of the preference pane in general tab, you should have the "Synchronize with Google" option) do let me know if you can find it, else I will email you the link.
