  • To this day, i'm still wondering how he got "enshrined"!!! I would have never got that!!! He was an amazing player!!

  • enshrined. Pure epicness.

  • @bluebear1985 I didn't think of that!

  • For the third subject, a good clue would have been "Scooby Doo's owner".

  • That was freaky!! It's almost like he knew the answers ahead of time....Things that are enshrined???!! I mean really!!

  • is enshrined the same as sacred?

    3rd language

  • Nathan Cook was cool as a cucmber! I don't care if I won $100 000 or even if I helped someone win it I would have been freaking out!

  • yeah is awesome, ENSHRINED!!! wow!!! God man

  • The"Hall of Fame" clue made 'ENSHRINE" easy I think. Great players are enshrined into their sport's Hall of Fame.

  • The"Hall of Fame" clue made 'ENSHRINE" easy I think. Great players are enshrined into their sport's Hall of Fame.

  • Easily one of the best $100,000 wins because of the difficulty factor - I wished that this show would have kept going and never been first pulled to begin with.

  • That's one of the most genuine and heartwarming reactions to the win I've ever seen. They both were great!

  • I just became friends with Keefe (not Keif) on Facebook!! :-D

  • I posted on another $100K win that it was the toughest one I've seen, but this one is for sure. Enshrined...amazing.

  • unusual for a contestant to be the giver. that was ovaries of steel.

  • @anna2k2 I think she wanted to be sure the celebrity didnt screw her. I have seen some many times the celebrity screw the contestant out of money for not thinking. I personally would have always been the clue giver as I am a true pyramid fan I will not use similars words prep-phrases or be too describtive. She wanted to win her 100,000 dollar and she would be in full control of her winning.

  • One other thought. I just saw the spelling on Wikipedia as "Keefe," and I'm wonder if this is the correct spelling.

  • I guess she decided not to use the straps--maybe she'd have stayed in her chair if she did!

  • I like putting these on, not watching the screen and seeing if I can guess each one. When she said "hall of fame" after "torah" that did it for me. It's an age thing - Nathan is older, so am I. For Gen Y's, however, the clues wouldn't have made any sense. It's like saying "45's" to a kid or "MP3" to a great grandparent.

  • I taped it almost 8 Years ago.

  • She fainted.

  • "Things with compartments" and "Things that are enshrined"? Wow. These people deserved $100,000.

  • The look on Nathan's face when she kisses him is priceless!

  • This was just on GSN lol

  • You cut off one of the best parts - when she forgot that she was on camera!

  • yeah she had to give him clues for the bonus round cause he wore glasses. You will never see anyone wearing glasses giving clues because the answers would reflect off the glasses.

  • Watch a few more episodes, lots of people wearing glasses have given clues on this show...

  • Nathan Cook was just plain sharp as a whip. Extremely intelligent. Kudos to her for a fantastic winner's circle. Very well given clues.

  • JEEZ!! All these categories are tough.

The "Walt Disney dog" was a great clue.

  • Things that are enshrined That's gotta be one of the toughest catagories. I love how cool Nathan Cook is and the contestant I thought she was great because I'd think it'd be harder to give the clues when you're the one trying to get the money and look how she planted that kiss on his lips. LOL great excuse to kiss a celebrity

  • That was an insane last couple of answers, throw in another $10,000 just for going through that. Very Impressive!

  • Don't the celebrities usually give the clues at the end?

  • 99 percent of the time, yes...but it's the players choice to give or receive

  • It's generally the player's option as to who gives the clues. Traditionally it has been the celebrity.

  • Enshrined=Holy Shit!!. I've watch just about all these pyramid wins and this one BY FAR is the most impressive!

  • Nathan was so calm through the whole thing! funny!! lol

  • The greatest Winner's Circle win of all time, and for $100,000, with 2 of the toughest categories - "Things That Are Enshrined" and "Things With Compartments" -ever to be seen in the winner's circle. One of the great wins in TV game show history.

  • yeah, did you notice how calm and composed he was through the whole thing? lol

  • Wow!! How did he get 'Compartments' and 'Enshrined'???? Those are two of the toughest answers I've seen on Pyramid.

  • the winner's $10,000 win is also up here somewhere...i saw in that win just her husband come up to celebrate and hes not even here for this one...hmmm...

  • It wasn't his last game show appearance. He did another week of Pyramid(CBS) in SPring 1988 and a week of SUper Password that aired the week before he passed away. He mentioned this win coming out of a commercial break on that week of SP.

  • does anyone have the full episode of this win?????? if so, please post it. i, and i'm sure a lot of other people, would love to see it

  • compartments and enshrined....god damn that is impressive.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't she the ONLY contestant to give the clues in the Winner's Circle and win the $100,000 dollars?

  • if im not mistaken, you are right! I 4got who had all the dick clark $100,000 wins but I think she's the only one that gave the clues and win the big money.

  • unless i am mistaken, isn't this the only time that a contestant gave clues in a $100,000 win?

  • There are some other clips with Kief giving the clues (the one where she did it in 30 seconds, giving the clues to Shelley Long). No wonder she gave the clues. She was phenomenal at it.

  • Um... Shelley Smith. ;-)

  • No, no, no!! You're supposed to jump up, not fall on the floor!! lol

  • ENSHRINED, incredible how NATHAN pulled that out.

  • Nathan's last game show appearance to air in first-run was his June 6-10, 1988 appearance of Super Password. He died within a week of that airing. He actually mentioned on SP about winning a contestant $100K coming out of one of the commercial breaks that week, probably referring to this win.

  • I believe Nathan got this category as a giver in the 1986-87 season of $100K and could not get his partner to say it.

  • Yes, he did. However, it was still surprising that he got it because his clues did not remotely resemble Kief's clues.

The same category also appeared in the first winner's circle of the 4th $100,000 tournament (the contestant got it from clues given after time was up).

There seemed very few, if any categories that only appeared once.

  • I didn't know Nathan Cooke was gone until I wikipedia him (he's on GSN this week). So sad! If this had been his final appearance, it was a great one.

  • How did he get ENSHRINED, wow, that was really incredible.

  • The smile on his face when she kisses him at 1:09 is priceless.

  • with all due respect to all the great players of this game, Nathan Cook was the one with the sharpest and quickest mind in my opinion...brilliant. So sad he is gone...RIP you are missed

  • Keif was the only person as far as I know to win $100,000 from that position... there's a clip of all $100,000 winners (both Clark and Davidson) and I'm pretty sure she's the only one to do it!

  • How many times did a contestant win $100,000 when the CONTESTANT gave the clues? She was obviously very good at it.

I know that if I had ever been on that show (I was still a kid!) I would have wanted to GIVE.

  • how the hell did he get those

  • Hey its Reese from 'The White Shadow'

  • Dick mentioned after the win: "I looked at ENSHRINED and said, 'WOW...'"

  • I don't have any videos to upload.

  • Sorry. <:(

  • i love that guys voice is so like suddil

  • That was a tough one.

  • subconsciously?

  • the hall of fame books was not one of the best clues in the world, (only because of the way she worded it.)

  • Aww, I was only 12, so I hadn't yet begun an obsession with knowing about every celebrity death, so I had no idea Mr. Cook was deceased, and at such a young age, too.

  • That had to be one of the best reactions.

  • I think she was shocked that he was able to get that one, at least in my opinion!

  • She was also pleasantly surprised when he guessed the fifth box as well.

  • Yes, that guess was not tremendously more likely than "..enshrined." "things with compartments" stumped very many teams (in another video, Elaine Joyce had 34 seconds and could not get it).

I would have started with "a kangaroo's front' and then said "a train sleeper car" as just as Kief said "a dashboard."

  • RIP Nathan Cook (1950-1988). One of the best pyramid celebrity guests that i've ever seen.

  • If this was 1988, then Nathan Cook was pretty close to his untimely death. Sad. I remember him as the guy who gave the Griswold family bad directions in the ghetto in "Vacation."

  • ... and jacked their tires, too. Lol.

  • This was originally broadcast on Tuesday, January 19, 1988, but was recorded in either November or December of 1987.

  • @sfgiantsfan921 This was broadcast in January 1988, but I'm pretty sure it was recorded sometime in late 1987. Maybe December?

  • @sfgiantsfan921

That would be a horrible death too (Allergic reaction to penicillian) :(

  • I wonder if your mom knows that she is heralded by much of the game show fan community as the best Pyramid contestant ever. No one has ever come close to showing the skill she showed.

  • @handstandsarefun I'm curious where this community is, but I can't disagree with her skill. See the other episode where she gave the clues, she is GOOD. I always wondered if it would be worth giving the clues if that was the better skill of the two for a person, and this is one example of how it can be done quiet well. Reading the earlier comments, I hope she passed the bar.

  • I once had this on tape from GSN. Your mom was awesome. This was won on the first part of the 2nd show. I would love to meet your mom. Ill pray for her with going to Law School. Didnt she also want to open a restaurant as well? If Pyramid was ever to return, I would like to see her as a celebrity contestant. She was very calm, and gave brilliant clues. $122,450 and I believe a trip to Bermuda.

  • wow! i loved this show when i was a kid! both were good players!

  • WOW!!!!

    who was that guy???

he was so calm!! i wouldve been done after the third one!!!

    wow! simply amazing!

  • His name is Nathan Cook from the series "Hotel" with Connie Selleca. He was very calm on both Pyramid along with Super Password. Sadly, Nathan Cook dies not long after this win after a allergic reaction to penicilin

  • o wow!!! that sucks! how could he be allergic to penicillin??..isnt that supposed to be a good thing?

  • Um no...being allergic to penicillin (and not knowing it) can be VERY bad...usually you find out about things like that if you take another drug in the "cillin" family like amoxicillin (sp?)...that's how I find out...they gave me that after an operation and I broke out in a rash.

  • ooooooooooo....i see thanks for telling me!

  • I like it how the blocks wiggle back and forth whenever someone wins the big money...that just amuses me...

  • I know, right? Me too! Kind of the Pyramid's way of saying "OMG! YOU DID IT! YOU DID IT!!"

  • that was the control people's way of congratulating them, (although it IS amusing.)

  • Comment removed

  • Good luck Keif on your bar exam. You will pass it with flying colors. I knew at one time she was good friends with Terry Lester.

  • OMG, Keif is your mom? That's SO awesome, dude! Your mom was fierce. I know its been like 20 years since she won, but tell her congratulations for me!:D

  • No Keif is not my mom. I meant the comment for the person who said Keif was their mom.

  • I know, I accidently responded to the wrong comment. My bad, dude. :)

  • That is all right. Are you going to have more Pyramid shows on Youtube soon.

  • Very soon:)

  • I remember that too. She was suppose to be on the show the same week Terry Lester was going to be on there, and wasnt on that week because she knew Terry.

  • I think that she was going to be the returning champion for the following week, but Terry Lester was the celeb for that second week.

PS...drewraphael, that's wild. I saw these reruns in college. I fancy myself a pretty clever (couch) pyramid player. I remember seeing her $100k win the very first time. That top clue popped up, and I ran to a dictionary. I looked at that and thought, "No chance in hell." I was wrong, and your mother was brilliant. She is definitely the best ever.

  • and either she or someone she knows, knew (he passed away) Terry Lester and that's why she did not return the week he was on. She came back the week later

  • how is that a problem? i know on most game shows u can't personally know or even be acquainted with any1 who works for the show or the production company but i didn't think that applied to any celebrity guests also. (if it was a celebrity game, which obviously "pyramid" is.)

  • The celebrity guests must play impartially. A celebrity that is friendly with Keif is likely to try harder when partnered with Keif and/or try less hard when partnered with her opponent (even subconsciously).

  • It applied to celebrities as well. There was a case on this show where a champion had to wait one week because her husband worked with a celebrity that was on the next week.

  • And actually the person you are referencing is Keif...she had to sit out a week.

  • You betta go girl!

  • what a gal, impressive

  • She deserved every last penny. Great clue giving!

  • Love Dick Clark's reaction

  • First off, Keif is my hero. The only contestant to win $100,000 sitting in the givers chair. But Nathan's rather calm reaction? Wow, even if I was the celebrity player, I couldn't just stay so planted in my seat like that. I'd be doing something more boisterous. He was almost downright nonchalant. I wonder if Keif is still alive. I'm completely assuming so, but I do wonder about her now.

  • I love her reaction of winning the $100,000. Another great reaction is the previous tournament with Debbie Seppian and Markie Post. "The Walt Disney Dog" great clue for "Shaggy Things" "Things that are enshrined" WOW (TOUGH CATEGORY TO GET)

  • Well I thought it was a pretty calm reaction on the contestant's part, too...just pure disbelief!

  • Nathan Cook last appearance on the $100,000 Pyramid was the last week before the 11th Touranmet with Tereza Ganzel in 1988.

  • That's The Day After My Birthday.

  • When Did He Die?
