I've been looking for this forever! This song has been stuck in my head since I was 5! 39 years later and I still remember the words! Thank you for posting!
i remember this show being on in the 90s on nickelodeon or early 2000's.. the first time i watched it was when there was a huge marathon of this show on nickelodeon..
I remember thinking this scene's cloaked Witchiepoo is funnier than normal. Her quickness is more comical if a costume is in the way. She should have a traditional witch's cloak instead of hobo stuff, color contrast and kicking legs that distract from her speedy facial gestures.
This morning my wife poured some orange juice & I started singing this song. She asked, "did you just make that up?" "Uh no!" I said, "it's only from the greatest kids' show of all time!". Unfortunately like most people I mention HR Puffnstuff too, she didn't know it. Thanks to my iPhone, YouTube, and your posting of this so I could share it with her. It also made me realize how long it's been since I'd seen this - and I can't believe I remember this song so well after all this time!
@megawenson@futuristfood I remember another clip of her singing it too. In fact I think of it often!LOL! I've never forgotten it all these years. It was one of my favorite songs as a kid. It's gotta be out there somewhere. Oranges, Poranges! People think I'm crazy when I sing this but I guess I'm part of the "fringe" group.
Check out the little white "flowers" all over the purple fabric behind Witchy Poo, if you look closely they are just "stick on bows" you put on any christmas or birthday present, It's funny what you notice when your "all grown up"! love the clip, thanks!
17 episodes was the standard episode order in those days. Puf, Bugaloos, and Lidsville all have 17 episodes. Sigmund and Lost were the first to go beyond one season.
I had this song on a 45 rpm record when I was a kid. I used to wake up early Saturday mornings for this show. Never missed it. I didn't know there were so few shows. I watched this, Lidsville, Sigmond and the Bugaloos. That and ate lots of Honeycomb cereal. Those were the days.
My sisters had a promo 45 with this song on it (from Kellogg's maybe?)...think there were a few other songs on it from the show, too..."Mechanical Boy" comes to mind. Thanks for the memories!
Whoever has an ipod and wants to have the complete series of H.R. Pufnstuf, just go to itunes, go to the search bar in the upper right corner and type in "pufnstuf" or "H.R. Pufnstuf" and it will give you the results of the complete collection and the movie :] The complete collection is $28.99

Well, when you pronounce Oranges as she does, you can easily rhyme it with Sponges...

Oranges, Schmoranges - is the name of the song . .
I had the show album as a kid, and a replica flute too from the back of a cereal box i think.

Is this the only time she sings this song? I think I remember her singing it when she was alone...with a slightly different tune and words.

@futuristfood No. We're the sane ones. I think this makes us a 'Fringe Group'. Thanks for telling me you saw it, too. That gives me hope...

Can you put the whole Prounouns song on? Even if you could load that with Witchiepoo's song that'd be cool.
