We need political leaders who are willing to calmly sit down and negotiate their differences so that we can avoid this type of horror from happening.

Playing football with georgian heads happend in a place called Gagra. Everybody can agree that Basayev acted on his own. Dudayev supported the georgians even if he stayed out of it. Truth still remains that Shamil Basayev and some of his abkhazians pals use to set up football matches using georgian heads as the ball.

Actually that was the reason why Stalin forced them to leave Caucasus after the war and moved them to eastern and northern lands. It`s a pity, that Khrushchev allowed them to return...

The opposition party when Chechnya was independent during the early nineties requested russian assistance when they were bitterly unhappy with the President who dissolved parliament to avoid a vote of no confidence. Yes, there is the bitter irony - after literally decades of fighting, they became independent only to ask Russia to involve themselves once again --which they did-- eagerly.

The people who claimed to be an opposition where the traitors of their nation, like Ramzan Kadirov is. Those bandits, which you call the opposition, wanted Chechnya to remain under the Russian control (hence, under the Russian occupation). His economic policies increased corruption & his accusations that Russia had started earthquakes to attack Chechnya were an embarrassment for many Chechens. Premise Three: Dec, 1993 the opposition you claim did not exist formed the Provisional Council of the Chechen Republic. Thanks for reading.
