Dude, I have a 06 SS/SC, and yours by far is the best sounding Supercharged cobalt I have ever heard! I was raised on muscle cars so I just love it when a motor has that deep aggressive rumble to it! I would love to cam mine but money is kinda tight right now. Side note did you get a different trunk lid or did you take the wing off and plug the holes? If you plugged the holes how?
I have a cobalt ss sc as well. 2006. if you really want to make astatement with a supercharged setup, stay with a supercharger. evryone already knows what a turbo does. why not just upgrade to the 1320 blower? thats what i did im going to be putting vids of mine up soon. just finishing up: 60# injectors, ls4 tb, supertech 78lb vs kit, harrop htv1320, zzp s3 h/e, phenolic intake spacer, trans mounts, ingalls stiffy mount, strut tower bar,s3 axles rated for 650hp,fuel pump rewire,
yeah youre right..awesome build never said it wasnt im just saying in my opionion instead switch to a turbo because turbos run off of exhaust and the extra boost is forced out for example the SC forces the extra boost back into the engine... AWESOME BUILD THOUGH :)
yea but you also have to remember your talking about a Cobalt SS, your going have to change so much for your car to truely hold 400+ including clutch etc.
this engine is fully built, it will handle anything that i throw at it. ive spent a lot of time and money plus a lot of effort into this build. i blew it up a while back and have been makin it a monster ever since. like i said i wanna see what kinda power i make on the m62 before i decide to switch to a different power adder.
i built it. i actually just got it all put back together this evening. i have a guy comin tomorrow evening to give be a base tune so i can break it in.
advice... take your time and dont cut corners. knowledge is power when building an engine so do your research and find out for yourself what parts work and whats bogus. dnt just go by what someone else told you.
Ok bud, I never once said you doing something wrong..In my past experiences with these cars the SC hasnt been too well, "meaning" the SC (MY THOUGHTS) is a horrible mistake by Chevy.. Why do you think they switched to a turbo with the 08s and 09s? Because there has been many reported problems with them going bad, so I SUGGESTED ONCE AGAIN you shouldnt waste your money on fixing up the SC when you can spend around 3500 to my knowledge id have to check into it on a TURBO with 440whp...
well its a known fact that its hard to make power with this particular supercharger. i plan on making a statement with this build before i switch to a different power adder. ive been looking into the TVS1320(a larger supercharger) i know that i can make bigger power with a turbo but i like being supercharged.
Ok, well first off, with that being said. Why would a man with your job title be talking like a thug? You would think a man with your "professional status" wouldnt act that way. Second, if your so educated how can you make such a broad statement without knowing a single thing about the set up im running on this car? if you must know im only spinning this supercharger with a 2.8" pulley. thats the lowest you can go without going outside if the efficency range with the m62.
Also, if you loose the know it all attitude i can educate your further on these cars if you would like. This is my setup from last year anyway. the build i have in progress now is much more complex and detailed than the one featured in this video
well i did so many other mods at the same time i cant really say. but i do notice power very evenly through the rpm range. most aftermarket cams for the lsj seem to make more power up high. i really dont know untill i put it on a dyno. but in my opinion they were a great addition. my car is down again and should be back together in about a month with a ton more mods. ill be sure to have some new videos up whenever i get it fired up again
i didnt get them directly from jbp but they have been taking a long time on stuff latey... i have been waiting on an order for over a month from them.
bro how hard is it to install cams in the ecotec? i want to get a pair but idk its my daily drive so if that contributes to if i should do it or not

so did you fully built the engine yourself or bought it from jbp? I heard that jbp used to make wild engine crate but wasn't successful (not sure).

im pretty sure that with the 1320 and a good tune i could possibly put down 400+ to the wheels.
