  • bro how hard is it to install cams in the ecotec? i want to get a pair but idk its my daily drive so if that contributes to if i should do it or not

  • @ brandonpovia "ecotec inside"

  • one of the best sounding cobalts i have heard! can you message me, or post, all of yours mods? getting a cobalt ss sc here soon

  • Dude, I have a 06 SS/SC, and yours by far is the best sounding Supercharged cobalt I have ever heard! I was raised on muscle cars so I just love it when a motor has that deep aggressive rumble to it! I would love to cam mine but money is kinda tight right now. Side note did you get a different trunk lid or did you take the wing off and plug the holes? If you plugged the holes how?

  • what does the sticker on the back window say?

  • I have a cobalt ss sc as well. 2006. if you really want to make astatement with a supercharged setup, stay with a supercharger. evryone already knows what a turbo does. why not just upgrade to the 1320 blower? thats what i did im going to be putting vids of mine up soon. just finishing up: 60# injectors, ls4 tb, supertech 78lb vs kit, harrop htv1320, zzp s3 h/e, phenolic intake spacer, trans mounts, ingalls stiffy mount, strut tower bar,s3 axles rated for 650hp,fuel pump rewire,

  • Bro that sounds so badass! What exh are you running?

  • nice build, can you message me a list of your mods...im setting up an 06 SS just looking for some ideas

  • Yea you need a good kit or anything let me know, I have some kits that will push out like 400+ depending if you have the 2.0 or 2.2 or 2.4..

  • yeah youre right..awesome build never said it wasnt im just saying in my opionion instead switch to a turbo because turbos run off of exhaust and the extra boost is forced out for example the SC forces the extra boost back into the engine... AWESOME BUILD THOUGH :)

  • im aware of how they work. i still may end up turboing it. maybe this winter. dunno. yet. thanks for the props tho

  • yea but you also have to remember your talking about a Cobalt SS, your going have to change so much for your car to truely hold 400+ including clutch etc.

  • this engine is fully built, it will handle anything that i throw at it. ive spent a lot of time and money plus a lot of effort into this build. i blew it up a while back and have been makin it a monster ever since. like i said i wanna see what kinda power i make on the m62 before i decide to switch to a different power adder.

  • so did you fully built the engine yourself or bought it from jbp? I heard that jbp used to make wild engine crate but wasn't successful (not sure).

  • i built it. i actually just got it all put back together this evening. i have a guy comin tomorrow evening to give be a base tune so i can break it in.

  • Awesome! show us more the numbers soon then! Any advise from your build?

    Props!

  • advice... take your time and dont cut corners. knowledge is power when building an engine so do your research and find out for yourself what parts work and whats bogus. dnt just go by what someone else told you.

  • Ok bud, I never once said you doing something wrong..In my past experiences with these cars the SC hasnt been too well, "meaning" the SC (MY THOUGHTS) is a horrible mistake by Chevy.. Why do you think they switched to a turbo with the 08s and 09s? Because there has been many reported problems with them going bad, so I SUGGESTED ONCE AGAIN you shouldnt waste your money on fixing up the SC when you can spend around 3500 to my knowledge id have to check into it on a TURBO with 440whp...

  • well its a known fact that its hard to make power with this particular supercharger. i plan on making a statement with this build before i switch to a different power adder. ive been looking into the TVS1320(a larger supercharger) i know that i can make bigger power with a turbo but i like being supercharged.

  • im pretty sure that with the 1320 and a good tune i could possibly put down 400+ to the wheels.

  • yea im pretty smart im the head mechanic at street legal customs the biggest custom shop for tuners in michigan you fuckin fool...got it? k

  • Ok, well first off, with that being said. Why would a man with your job title be talking like a thug? You would think a man with your "professional status" wouldnt act that way. Second, if your so educated how can you make such a broad statement without knowing a single thing about the set up im running on this car? if you must know im only spinning this supercharger with a 2.8" pulley. thats the lowest you can go without going outside if the efficency range with the m62.

  • Also, if you loose the know it all attitude i can educate your further on these cars if you would like. This is my setup from last year anyway. the build i have in progress now is much more complex and detailed than the one featured in this video

  • you should of just wasted your money on a good turbo kit garuntee that sc goes outt

  • your pretty smart aye? what a fool

  • can u make a list of total mods to this car?

  • lol sounds like an lt1 at idel

  • yea well i ordered the under drive pully and crank as well as the vortex headers so im hopin that will make a difference

  • well i did so many other mods at the same time i cant really say. but i do notice power very evenly through the rpm range. most aftermarket cams for the lsj seem to make more power up high. i really dont know untill i put it on a dyno. but in my opinion they were a great addition. my car is down again and should be back together in about a month with a ton more mods. ill be sure to have some new videos up whenever i get it fired up again

  • yea this week will be a month. did you get alot of gains out of it?

  • i didnt get them directly from jbp but they have been taking a long time on stuff latey... i have been waiting on an order for over a month from them.

  • how long did it take for the cams to get to you like 2 weeks or longer?

  • how long did it take you to get them its been three weeks and i havent seen any sign

  • what?

  • you have cam work done?

  • ...I <3 your idle haha

  • How bad was it to install that header?

  • where do i buy it where did you get the headlight eyelids

  • u must have a cam in there or something it just seems to unbelievable haha

  • how much did all this run you...i definately wanna do this now haha. many others probably do to

  • omg, that has a killer idle! i hear they are a bugger to install tho...

  • i installed it with the head off the car and it was still a pain in the ass... i ended up having to install my head studs after the head was on...

  • i will get some up soon i need a tune b4 i go beatin on it...

  • You should do a driving video

  • jpb vortex header, CA 3" gutted cat downpipe, 2.5" from the dp back into a flowmaster 40series

  • Your exhaust sounds great with that header. What type of exhaust are you running?
