I was at this show, right down front. I've got photos. I should dig them up and scan them. It was great. Anybody got any footage of The Jody Grind? They rocked it the hell out too.
This goes back to before I lived in Georgia. When I was first getting into the Atlanta music scene, Cooper Seay was leading a band called Viva La Diva, and I had a crush on their guitar player Candi Jiosne. Chris McGuire went on to lead another band, Mary Fortune Express, and boy (girl!), did they rock! Ah, those were the days!
tholt, I'm not sure of the exact month, or even year. I was living with a friend of hers in Charotte on Pecan. After the show, late that night, Cooper actially knocked on the front door to get in. She wa great. Of course I'd like to see the video. Thanks.
Oh my Gawd! Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting up this video. Ellen James Society was and still were one of my favorite "professional garage bands" ever *lol*
And I hadn't seen that performance in so long. Though I did just listen to the tape that song is on yesterday morning ... how weird :-)

Is that Cooper Seay? I met her in Charlotte way back in the early 90s. She was playing at the Milestone.

Wow, amy should totally make a solo record in this style of music. Her voice is just perfect for it!
Thanks for uploading, really cool to see!

Glad you're enjoying them. I wanted to get a few things transfered from VHS before they totally disintegrated. I'll work on some others soon.
