Everyone's criticizing it for being so big, but they don't realize how much work something like this takes. And if the design were improved and modified, it could work better, be smaller, and you could probably figure out how to make it send the feed wirelessly so you could put the monitor in a watch or something.

I know it looks pretty cool how the head rotates and the leg lifts up, but what the point? You should just get rid off the big TV on the roof and put the head on there instead. Probably look less noticeable too. Send the video feed via Wifi so that you can spy on people from your computer. What are you going to do now? Hide in the room along with the robot so that you can see the TV? Mind as well just look at what the robot sees for your self.

Seriously, if all you had to do was rotate a camera you could just hook a motor on a stand and mount the camera on it. Glue a speaker and mount the screen on the stand and its the same thing.

Considering your design goals you did a great job but this thing looks more like it was poorly designed than crippled. More like it has a "genetic disability" which may have been your intention.

i like it... very cool... add 6 slave bicores cotrolling motors with action perpendicular to the existing lifting mechanism, and a master bicore to get her a-walking, and the sweeping head can be the horse in a horse and rider bot.

of course to minimize any interference with the camera, the leg motors would need caps strung across the contacts, but thats easy.
