we have refined and perfected the anti guerilla warfare because we have been fighting colonizers for almost 300-400 years, during korean war filipino troops were outnumbered by 8 chinese troops againts 1filipino soldier but then they inflicted heavy casualties to chinese... and able to defend the position and with minimal casualties.. dont compare our army with your army.. coz we dont rely on technology we can fight without it.. how about your army can they fight without those gps or night visio

I was doin research on the filipino scout rangers and I must I'm impress. With approximately 5000 members it is pretty exclusive so they must be good, but to tag them as "the world's best anti guerilla force" might be an exaggeration.

these include the ones executed by US SPECIAL FORCES... yes they are good when it comes to conventional warfare... but we are in ASIA... war over here are fought in Guerrilla style... you may have good equipment and great training but it all comes down to INSTINCT and ADAPTABILITY to your environment- one which US forces prove hard to adjust to if you just look at the History of the Philippines...

Filipino Scout Rangers [Phil. counterpart of the US Army Rangers] are experts at guerrilla and anti-guerrilla warfare so that's why the US Green Berets train here. Its actually a mutual agreement where both parties have a gain. So please... dont fight

for the Philippine forces participating in Operation Enduring Freedom. US helicopter are the ones airlifting our wounded to safety not the Philippine Air Force. However, the United States also needs Filipino training for it is the Filipinos that teach the US Special Forces here under the VFA innovative and cost-effective [cheap] techniques to problems it would take US soldiers thousands of dollars in equipment to solve... the Filipinos fix it with junk... also the US lost the Vietnam War

Actually without the US the Philippines might not be able to hold Mindanao. Thats why the militants particularly the CPP-NDF and CPP-NPA want US soldiers out. The Philippines is in dire need to arms and transportation supply. The Philippines has a crippled air fleet and our weapons are 30-40 year old M-16 against brand new AK108s.
