I have a mac pro and use a mouse since it is not a LAPTOP. It seems that Apple designed this OS for Laptop users. I needed to buy a trackpad to use the new OS. I hate trackpads and what used to take me seconds now takes me many seconds with screens running on autopilot. I calmed the beast by deselecting all gestures from the trackpad except a few, but still have times when the main screen slides to the left and leaves be blank. Apple has finally eliminated the MOUSE that Jobs hated.
gestures work in finder itunes and system preferences but u have to use 3 finger swipe and 2 finger swipe so you can swipe in safari with 2 fingers and the rest with 3 fingers eg finder
I'm running it both on iMac mid 2011 and on macbook pro mid 2010 and I'm experiencing another issue (beside not waking screen with mouse movement, which is not necessarily a bug) with quicktime. Namely, if I run some movie from finder and quit QT, after opening a new movie by double clicking in finder, it opens both, the previous movie and current one. This behavior appears to be present on both machines. Occasionally, after that happens, QT becomes unresponsive.
@nesafarm Yeah, I've noticed this too, I don't think it's a bug necessarily, it's part of the new feature RESUME, it resumes the last opened file, so it does this with text edit and a few other apps as well.
Go to system preferences
Click on General
Under "number of recent items" unclick "restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps"
Which Mac do you use? I wonder if Lion slowed down your computer? I actually like the new features but not sure about downloading it

@makeesa Yeah, I know, but for those who want to have he animation and shit, it doesn't. kind of weird.

@shiftymms the animation is only for safari tho so not really a glitch/bug?
makeesa 8 months ago
@makeesa No, it also works in a few different apps as well.
