Those are Roman Chair lifts. Not leg lifts, leg lifts are hanging from a bar, bringing your feet all the way to your hands. Straighten your legs, it makes it harder, your slightly bent legs are making it easier, get back in the chair and do fully straight roman chair lifts, then go to the handles.
@Shizzlecrads The V cut is caused by hypertrophy of the lower abs. So you need to strengthen your lower abs, so yes any exercise that will improve your lower abs will work.
