The title is very misleading. Warren does not generalize that "gays are liars, use hate speech, (and) have Christ-ophobia." He was speaking of people who attack his church for his position on homosexuality. Most of those people are likely straight.

His church HAS done many good things in the name of religion.. but there's always ignorance and traditionalism, you just gotta weigh it out, i believe he's a good man with a more modernized version of Christian teaching.. and there's nothing wrong with that. Let the doctrine continue to evolve, eventually only the generalized good will be left... and the archaic, outdated, bronze-aged bad will be done away with.. hopefully. Rick Warren is a "positive mutation" in the evolution of Christianity.

How in the world can someone say that they are Christian but not follow Christ??? Nowhere does it say in the Bible that it is okay to live in sin or to live a sinful lifestyle, particularly if you are a Christian. We don't get to choose what we want to follow in the Bible. Circular logic, apeals to authority and emotion, and arguements from ignorance will become the crutch by which you live you life and ward off any potentially threatening opinions.
