I use bryce as well, but where is the design interface in pov ray? I only see the script

there is not a design interface, only text mode, to see a result you must render (press ALT G), povray is mostly for developers, but you can use free software bounded with povray like yaprm.sourceforge(.)net or bishop3d(.)com

Oh ok... thanks! Guess you become a bit spoiled using 3ds max and such. Somehow I always had it in my head that POV ray was a renderer that worked like mental ray or radiosity... install it, select it in may, and experience some breath taking light calculations.

I am a Pov Ray noob - I am looking at the interface like - HUH!? Is their a way I can tell 3Ds Max to use povrays render?

you can use Blender 3d blender(.)org, you can model, animate, and install a script so it can call the povray engine, and it works the same, you can use the great interface, and a script panel to create special code that comunicates with the program Blender

have you ever used povray? it is the hardest 3D software ever made... because it doen't have an interface like 3DStudio Max or Maya... neither Blender... povray is only and ONLY for developers... its just code... like in a notepad... find another videos of povray... you'll see that there is not much difference... those are unfinished jobs...

whiles you can just used note pad to do modeling, and I agree it hard, theirs also Moray which is a graphical interface for Pov ray, it free and easy to used, and make pov ray much easier.

mae pura vida, esos son cortos de bretecillos sin terminar, ahi tengo otros mas locos y raros, el programa 3D es algo tieso pero algo se hace... saludos
