Your wrong. Tojo was the Master mind. He took over and made himself a proclaimed dictator...Hiro-Hito didn't even want the war..he wanted the war to end in Jan of 1945. Tojo and his military goon wanted the war to go on to the last man. You know nothing. the only Royal family thats a big joke is the English royal family. are you serious, thats like asking what makes hitler a war criminal, he was responsible for a genocide and crimes against humanity. thr fire bombings and the atomic bombings, although leemay, might be more guilty for the fire bombings since it was his idea.

@Akirameerkat while it may be true that many horrible things happened, on BOTH sides, many feel it was the only way to end the war, a war that should have never happened in the 1st place. however i really think it was togo starting all this. sorry if i offended you, im just stating my opinions here. i have nothing against anyone from japan, this is 2010, not 1941.

@Akirameerkat very possible. many bad things happened on both sides in those days. i wonder if there can ever be peace in the world with so many people that hang on to what past generations have done and continue to stir hate with modern generations that had nothing to do with it. ive been to japan, never once was treated bad because i was american. i have to say most the people i saw there were very friendly, generous, and polite. :)

couldn't do it in Iraq because

A) absolute victory wasn't sought in Iraq as it was during WW2 and japan. thus no "rebuild from ground up" occupation

b) more money to be made for certain factions in America if the " occupation " is a sloppily handled and run disaster.

mission accomplished in that regard...
