Sir I'm English but my friend is a Turkish born barber and he taught me to shave using a cut throat. He gave me something called Selin which contains alcohol and lemon juice for after I shave -won't this alcohol and juice damage my fresh skin after I shave?
i was thinking about getting into using a straight razor is it hard to use to you have to be very accurate with angle or is it forgiving if so what angle to you need to use. also I noticed that you shaved the face twice is there a reason for this or just to clean it up even more
@fahimsultan93 I find that they both offer a different type of feel when shaving,,,,so,,,it's all about trying both and seeing for yourself which one you prefer ,,,talk to you soon
Good Luck finding a Barber these days with this skill level. Most barbers can barely do a buzz cut properly. To bad the level of quality for men services had gone way down and womens has gone way up with spas and hairstylists and all that stuff.
@Towndrunk26er you are so right...the men's market has dropped ...thats why we must stick together,,and bring it back to life,,,hang in there,,,talk to you soon
@NielsMF no music,,,its something that comes with the program. hope that help and i hope to see you at barbersuniversity. just google it and I'll see you there to share more videos,,,thanks and god bless
Why does'nt this barber quite Jerking around and just shave the guys face in one smooth Pass?? then put another layer of lather and make a pass against the grain?? All those short jerking around pass's coz's skin irritation....
you dont shave up on the neck if the hair grows downward, this dude look like soft neck furr but if you have trouble shaving your neck i feel you pain brother, the music is a bit creepy
@mana0991 I am in the process of developing training information for instant download,,,,,,,,keep in touch and thank you for interest ,,,I wiil talk to you soon
@poohdabarber I don't shave against the grain,,,,,only with and, across ... don't be fooled in thinking that shaving against the grain is a good thing. try it bu,t get ready to clean up some blood for 10 to 15 min with some clients.
Some people are just not made to receive a Barbers straight blade shave.....good luck
@bsmyn0708 Not custom-made exactly. Bear in mind, I, most of the membership of The Shaving Room, and the brushmaker in question are British, so that reduces our selection slightly. Simpson and Vulfix brushes are more popular in this country than Shavemacs and, I think Rooney have stopped supplying brushes to the British market.
I've seen where later was applied BEFORE the hot towel went on for more hydration and conditioning. . .Although this guy does not need it due to a light beard. . .
@sentino68 Light,,,,, but thick. And as a tip to you,,,,,,,when you charge 35$ to 55$ for a shave like I do,,,,you want to give the client the full service...and enough time as well. Everyone develops there own way of doing things and ,,,,that should be for everyone because,,, everyone has there own experiences and know how's with their clients.
I think you misunderstood. To clarify, why didn't you put lather on the face before placing the hot towel? Then you would relather again just before putting blade to skin.
Where are you located? I'm in California and it is illegal to use a shaving brush on a client, unless that client owns the brush and it is used exclusively on them. Almost all your shaving techniques go against everything I've learned in barber school haha, it just goes to show you that after the state board examination you can do whatever works best!
@PiratesLifeFerMe hey bud,,,,,yes the brush is the clients personal brush,,,and my shaving techniques are
true ways of shaving but,,, I developed my own little ways because I have long hands and sometimes I need to twist and peek in ways that others don't need to. Stay cool and don't worry, you too will develop your own pattern and it will still work for you ,,,take care
@TheMensCorner That explains the brush - I wondered why a professional barber would be using a rather cheap boar brush rather than a better quality boar like a Semogue or, more likely, a badger brush.
Good video! I like to leave a little hair on the face when I shave clients because stubble can be very uncomfortable to shave on a client, and you get surface blood much easier.
Hey, nice work, you should stop by our online store to get the razor we use at American Shave.. Search American Shave, its a firm grip and really nice quality. Good Luck
it has nothing to do with his skin it has to do with how steady his hands are k n if ur hands aint staedy dont call ur self a master at it cuz ur ovbs not if you u dont belive me go to the 5 min mark n u will see haha
awesome shave man, your truley are a master barber. I was just wondering what tools you used. For example like the brush, soap bar, pre oil shave and type of double edge blade? Thanks a lot man im just trying to learn for a man who truley mastered this.

I am a barber myself , I see it's kinda relaxing having towels around ur face to worm up the hair BUT
1.the Clint has very little facial hair and it is very soft .
2.the clint isn't skinny which makes it 10 times easier to shave cos he has a fat face so it wont be tricky.
3. I work in a very busy barber in london central . so doing all that wont help us making money .
