I think SoapFreak is thinking about the scene when Tricia tried to kill herself again right after this, with the gas, but Ryan found out were she was and busted in the apartment to save her. But Matt (Carter) hit Ryan over the head with a bat, knocked Ryan out and that's when he and Tricia fled. This storyline was heating up that week as Matt was plotting to get Sharon to reveal himself to her.
She's in a mental hospital now for shooting and killing Ryan Mcneil on Victoria and Ryan's wedding day. I believe her miscarriage with Ryan,accidently running over Tony with her car,getting involved with a psychopath named Matt Clark.. Ryan leaving her for Victoria & her becoming ill sent her over the edge!

@SoapFreak actually, it was Matt Clark (Carter) who saved her and prevented her from jumping out of the window.

she didn't kill herself. she is still alive, most likely in jail or in a psych ward. she killed ryan and his and victoria's wedding in late 2001.
