This is fucked up the term is venom and not poison and a anacoda dosent have venom. + it squeezes the animal and every time the animal its eating breathes out it squeezes more until the animal cant breathe no longer
@CorrieClassics But that's the way of nature. All predators will generally catch prey weaker than they are. And also the capybara wasn't quite defenseless (didn't you see the wound it dealt to the anaconda?). And well yes a lot of people die from snake bites which is sad. But same with many other animals. If the snake feels threatened, it will protect itself.
@macroorchidism A snake isn't a cold blooded killer (although they are cold blooded). They need to eat to survive, so they have no choice. So they are cold blooded and killers, but not 'cold blooded killers' as you were implying.
@tinykicksass I would say a snakes method of execution is least cruel - Comparatively, other animals are eaten alive, while the snakes victims are just suffocated.
This animal is awe-inspiring. It's a majestic and highly evolved predator. Everyone saying they'd kill it or that they feel sorry for the capybara is pathetic.
I totally agree with you, animal lovers especially should realise and respect that this is entirely natural. Yes Capybaras are cute, but anacondas have to eat too. What this video shows is no worse than a Human eating some Chicken.
the way they kill thier prey, i mean that would suck ass panicking while you cant breathe and your ribs break, i dont hate the animal so much its just that i feel bad for the prey lol so i suppose i didnt mean what i put about killing the snake, but damn that animal just makes me cringe when it constricts
being constricted sure is a better death than being eaten alive- which most carnivores do in the wild. you arent thinking about this logically. watch a video of slaughterhouses and how livestock is treated before it is killed for human consumption then complain about this. i still eat steak.
what makes them cold-blooded killers? lots of animals have to kill to eat. and i don't see anyone on this comment section saying they aren't reptiles (unless you're talking about when i said they are animals which is true. reptiles are animals).
OK yes they are cold blooded. But the saying the phrase 'cold blooded killer' means that someone or something kills without reason.
And also what I meant by 'what makes them so different from any other animal' is 'why should they be treated any differently from other animal'. So well yes I could have worded it a bit better, but everyone else seems to have understood it that way anyways.
better choked out then swallowed then eaten alive, shmuck. differentiating them from other animals based on their species is a moot point. wow lions are mammals in the cat family and anacondas are reptiles in the boanid family, you sir are a master of the obvious!
You made a play on words which served absolutely no purpose other than to serve as a setup for you to call someone a retard. Then, you classified them as a reptile as if they still aren't also an animal. Sorry to point it out but: epic, epic fail.
right. its nature. the anaconda cant help it. the capybara cant help that its too slow to get away. its been like this before any of us were evern born
Yep, excuse my hyperbole. Reading youtube comments is often depressing though, honestly. It freaks me out that people can be so bloodthirsty and close minded that they would actually call for the extermination of an entire species.
This is one of those vids whose comments make me lose faith in humanity. I wish misery and shame upon the families of those who have such an inflated ego that they would torture and exterminate such a beautiful snake.
Actually, people who hate snakes are stupid. Their example of a good reason to kill a snake is watching a video of a snake eating a mouse. That's ridiculous, and they obviously haven't seen the Australia Mouse Plague video yet :D.
Nature usually finds an equilibrium, but we've disrupted that rhythm more than any other species on a global scale. As a species, we've become the catastrophe, so we should do our best to reverse what we can and allow a balance to evolve again. That means stop fucking with Mother Nature!
yes, but unfortunately that's not as simple as it sounds. for one thing as our species grows we need to make more houses and building, which usually means having to destroy forests or other areas full of wildlife in order to make enough room for the houses. but yes there is a lot that we can do, such as stop polluting as much.
who cares about wild life? but we should stop pulluting, because we have to breathe that stuff in, all wildlife should be domesticated, snakes should be killed, they are useless
do some research. then really, really think about what you just said, cause making all wildlife domesticated and killing snakes would both definitely eventually negatively affect plant growth and since plants recycle our air that would doom us all.
the plants recycle the air. and plants require healthy nutritious soil, which is made by decay of other plants, animal feces, and rotting dead animals. u take 2 of those out and the soil won't be very healthy. as for snakes, they are required so that animals such as mice or rats (or any other animals they eat) don't overpopulate. would you want to see mice and rats everywhere you go? and mice and rats are the most common food for most snakes.
and we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxyde (with a very small percentage of oxygen). you take out one part of nature, it causes a chain reaction with every other part. and we have fucked around with nature enough already with making certain species extinct or endangered.
Your missing the point, people dont want these things around.Anacondas are ugly and disgusting regardless of wether they deserve life..They are probobly responsible for making alot of species extinct because of their power. We cant preserve all the creatures on this planet, government funding should stay with animals like silverback gorillas and other wildlife the majority of people care about.Btw not all humans deserve to live either, its why we have the death penalty.
1st off i know tons of people who don't think they're ugly or disgusting. That's just your personal opinion. And no they aren't responsible we are responsible for overhunting certain kinds of animals and throwing off the food chain. we hunt mainly what animal tastes good to us whereas anacondas just eat whatever is most convenient for them to find. But yes you are right that there are many more animals that need the funding.
You are the one who says that "people dont want them around". And you know, anacondas dont really make anybody extinct, they have lived like that for thousand of years, the only ones who are a threat to them are gun loving idiots. And death penalty is not because they deserve to live or not, its to get rid of them because of they are a problem.
There aren't enough anacondas in the Amazon to threaten any species with extinction. Man is the ONLY animal on earth capable of forcing another species extinct. I find your opinion on anacondas extremely narrow-minded. Furry, 'cuddly' animals aren't the only ones deserving of conservation.
actually they can move just about as fast on land as in water but ya they r still faster in water. and while their have been confirmed stories, the average height of people in those areas is shorter than the average height here in Canada and the US.
I guess so. Though I'm still terrified of anacondas (and all the other snakes, for that matter), I don't think they're anywhere near as dangerous as the ones in the movies.
By the way, could you get rid of the comments I accidentally posted more than once?
some get big enough to eat adult humans. it would be very awkward for them to though but there have been a few confirmed stories where an adult has been eaten but ya it's extremely rare. and no anaconda's cannot grow as big as they r in the anaconda movies (or at least the first 1 i haven't seen the second)
Of course those Anaconda movies made a few changes about anacondas. First, as you said, anacondas don't grow that big, and seoond, they don't hunt that well (or move that fast) outside of the water.
So, whether they can eat a full-grown human or not, one's only hope is to just stay out the water.
But I heard anacondas can't eat humans. They could kill one, but not eat them. Though I also heard they could eat a human child, but still not an adult human.

Such a snake can kill a man but will have to turn its head sideways to take in the shoulders.
It seems that a giant snake's jaws open more vertically than horizontally.
