  • Og god, my legs hurt know.

  • @TheCoolGirlWithHair I dont even wanna know..

  • Best Who song eva!!!

  • I'm 15 and I'm pretty sure my generation is going to fuck up music even worse, but I won't. I'll be on my Ipod 456 Generation listening to The Who, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Animals, The Stones and much more bad ass bands that I couldn't possibly name. Long Live Rock n' Roll

  • "O'er" me. But thanks for the upload.

  • i am old and still alive ~

  • I want to get deaf listening to this song.

    But then, oh wait...

  • ;__; hanako

  • this is a great song by the who. the who lives on forever!

  • @rabbit1539 I think that you will be lame forever!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow....

  • even now, this old classic can make you crazy

  • the song i so good that i could pee in my pants right now :)

  • I'm 15....blah blah...shut up and listen to the music fellas, you might learn something.

  • Anybody agree that Eddie Vedder sings this better than Roger? Both amazing though.

  • @DAFUNK213 Eddie is a great vocalist, and Pearl Jam is one of my favourite band, but IMO there's no comparison between them and the the best band ever, The Who. This is absolutely the best fuckin' vocal performance ever, nobody else than Daltrey can sing these powerful verses with such emotion and such power. Hands down.

  • @numadrozcoffeeshop yea its a shame he spent all his money on clothes and went bankrupt and had to have the band come back on tour, please do not say any band is the best band ever

  • @DAFUNK213 no

  • Hard to imagine that when this track was recorded Daltry was nuts deep up Townsends Ring piece.....

  • Best vocal performance ever...

  • Im 13 sorry for what my generation has done to music

  • @STOxSniper your generation hasn't had a chance to do anything yet... but it sure has a golden opportunity to improve upon what it has become

  • @STOxSniper: I'm 16, as long as there are people of this fucked generation willing to listen to music we enjoy rather than music that will make us cool... there is hope. My favorite bands are Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and most recently The Who. Needless to say I dont walk through school and hear kids blasting music I like. But like Neil Young said... rock and roll will never die.

  • @Tigerpuffer Generations doesn't die, they evolve.

  • @Tigerpuffer yup, people need to listen to this, this is the good music

  • @Tigerpuffer yup

  • @STOxSniper shut the fuck up for one, and two, Foo Fighters, Sixx Am, Velvet Revolver, The Sheepdogs, Wolf Mother, White Stripes, Audio Slave, Theory of a Deadman, Saving Abel, Seether, BuckCherry, The Answer, Dropkick Murphies, and many more left to name, and third, this band has been around for a long time, your 13 yr old generation is just getting out of diapers, let alone effecting music, once again, fuck off.

  • @towcar68 careful they might get mad and tell you to go choke on a dildo

  • @fromtoronto2guelph haha, he ended up asking if I was a nigger :P

  • @towcar68 lol wow you got it easy!

  • @towcar68 nigger?

  • @STOxSniper nope, I'm probably the most white person I know lol!! Figuratively and litteraly

  • @towcar68 well if your white, your definately the most white guy ever, because there is no sun in the closet

  • @STOxSniper What?! I'm not sure if your calling me blind to something or gay? Kinda seems like you were waiting to say that since you called me a nigger like two messages ago... maybe when your older we can have an adult conversation lol

  • @towcar68 maybe when you go on a diet we can have a skinny convesation

  • @STOxSniper what is your fucking problem !! just listen to a great tune from a great band and cut out the bullshit !! i take it your american ? lol

  • @bristolcityifcation I'm American, but I love this bloody song. I'm an American, but I love British Rock'n Roll and American Rock'n Roll, and Heavy Metal from both England and America.

  • @towcar68 Hey umm... I'm 11 and I listen to all those bands you just mentioned. I also listen to this band, and others. I just love rock'n roll. Also, do you listen to Queen. And he should seriously shut up. This isn't the only band... there's Queen.

  • @Masterlink981 Yeah he ended up asking if I was a nigger, lol, but yeah I was trying to name more modern bands to make a point. And yeah I loved Queen! Freddy is easily one of the top great frontmen of all time!

  • @towcar68 Wow, that guy is a racist or something. Yeah MUSE is actually pretty good. ZZZ Top is a modern band.... I think? Well, I just love rock'n roll and heavy metal in general. By the way...

    Rock'n Roll + Heavy Metal> Pop, Hip-Hop, and Rap.

Also, do you like DOOM? I love DOOM contains a lot of rock'n roll music.. now if only we had a modern DOOM...

  • @Masterlink981 Apparently, I've never tried taking them time to Listen to MUSE, but now that you bring it up I think I will. I actually just got into Audioslave last month, didn't know they existed before then lol. Yeah Doom has some sick music.

  • @towcar68 Just imagine if someone made a game like DOOM.... You fight demons from Hell and mutants and zombies...and the music is heavily influenced by modern rock'n roll, modern metal, old metal, and old classic rock...

  • @towcar68 Yea foo fighters are good.. I like velvet revolver, I like one song of theory of a deadman, White stripes is beast... saving Abels ok.. The rest just kind've blend in with everything else.. Yes their are good BANDS that play good MUSIC but it's sad that the bad MUSIC is listened to and made popular by MY GENERATION.

I'm Sixteen and I apologize for what My Generation has done to music.

  • @STOxSniper It isn't 'your' generation, or 'our' generation, it's the generation before us that fucked up. We can't do anything about it, pop will be the most listened 'music', no matter how crappy it is.

  • @MrGelesneeuw yes, i agree i have been thinking lately and said. We have not done anything to music all we do is listen, and you cant judge our generation for listening and never listening to good music like this

  • @STOxSniper True. You're a weirdo if you listen to this according to a lot of people i know, I'm happy i know people who are smart enough NOT to listen to that autotuned bullshit.

  • @MrGelesneeuw yeah, i know alot of people there all like dubstep and rap is the best. i tell them i think its trash and that they need to listen to real music

  • @STOxSniper Not all of that's true, there is some genuinely good rap around, dubstep sucks though.

  • Comment removed

  • @STOxSniper im 25 and also sorry

  • @STOxSniper I'm 18 and I'm gonna fix this. I promise.

    Just wait.

    Adrenal1ne

  • @0roginigor0 Thanks

  • @STOxSniper no need to appoliges its not realy your generation, its people that are ten and 20 years in front of you, your generation will have it chance to things right in about 5 or ten years.

  • @STOxSniper it's definitely not your fault, why do you think there was punk rock? It was already sucking hard by the 80's

  • @STOxSniper Don't worry mate. The 80's disco shit ended. So will todays shitty music era.

  • Kieth Moon makes all the difference in the world ... The Who were never the same without him ...

  • change subject from this ridiculous argument...

    kitties! cute huh?

  • @Thatswhaticallavid They are soooo adorable

  • @Thatswhaticallavid c-c-c-c-combo breaker!

  • @Thatswhaticallavid Indeed.

  • Now this is an ending to an album. Roger's POWERFUL scream, Moonie's seemingly 6 armed/legged drumming, Pete's guitar and keyboards going overboard and The Ox's bass playing.

  • I was driving my car from Delta Junction to Fairbanks Alaska, I was just out of town, just about to fall asleep when this started playing on the radio. I remember reading on the clock, 4:37 AM. The hours of driving that long drive from 1:50-4:37 seemed to melt away in the song. I got to my house and sat in my bed, I had been humming it for the past twenty minutes since it played. My eyes had been red with tears, but I felt like I had just slept in and woke up to the Aurora in the morning sky.

  • gives me chills everytime I hear this song... Like... to the core

  • I listen to this song when I want to scream.

  • @otherlifes it's becoz of devil... and im serious

  • @otherlifes it's becoz of devil... and im serious

  • :( this song make me sad

  • one of the best songs ever

  • f;klafh;klashFADSJJFAFJDAS *jizzed*

  • Listening to this song while walking in the rain gives it a whole different meaning and atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the who and the quadrophenia album in general :)

  • One of those Epic rock screams where it just gives you goosebumps. 4:31

  • whoever said the who were a mod band wants a good fucking kicking. and thats official

  • you killed my fukin scooter.

  • 1. The Who

    2. Metallica

    3. Aerosmith

    4. Poison

    5. The Beatles

    6. The Rolling Stones

    7. Jerry Lee Lewis

    8. Elvis

  • @Masterlink981 don't forget led zeppelin

  • @fruitkill11 Led Zeppelin is OK.... but personally I think Aerosmith beats them.

  • @Masterlink981 yeah i know it's all opinion based aerosmith is a good one

  • @fruitkill11 Yep... thought so.

  • @Masterlink981 the reason I like led zeppelin a little more is it was the first classic rockband i listened to

  • @fruitkill11 I listened to Led Zepplin... but uh.... my family likes certain kinds of rock bands. The rock bands that aren't TOO Satanic... like the rock bands that are... good.

  • @Masterlink981 led zeppelin is good

  • @fruitkill11 Yeah they are OK....

  • @Masterlink981 ok then debate over. thank you for your time

  • @fruitkill11 Wait... I was JUST kidding... I <3 Led Zeppelin.

  • @Masterlink981 yeah they do rock

  • @fruitkill11 But uh.... they are like the #1 Satanic band out there... so my family generally listens to the non Satanic rock... such as KISS, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Metallica, and maybe The Who... but we are generally discrete about what we listen to.

  • @Masterlink981 but led zeppelin isn't really satanic

  • @fruitkill11 The singers were... :P

  • @Masterlink981 Robert Plant was so disgusted that people like you thought Zeppelin was satanic.

  • @squike1314 ......*mumbles* It was a joke OK???

  • @Masterlink981 ur a fuckin idiot alot of people deemed kiss as satanic cuz they took their facepaint idea from black metal which is a satanic cult metal from norway but hey your really smart and ur family is an idiot too good job

  • @GimmeMoreMusic88 I'm an idiot? Your the idiot, you can't even FUCKING SPELL A GOD DAMN THING. Really smart? For your information, I don't know EVERYTHING. And secondly.... My family doesn't even fucking listen to KISS. They listen to The Who.

  • @Masterlink981 why dont u get a little bit more upset did i hurt your feelings :(

aww and did my shorthand way of spelling words throw ur educated self a curve ball im sorry go cry about it and cussing isnt kind ! :)

  • @GimmeMoreMusic88 Sorry..... that wasn't very intelligent. I apologize for my recent actions, and I hope you forgive me.

  • @Masterlink981 rot in hell :)

  • @MasterBitch cry about it

  • @GimmeMoreMusic88 It's the PEOPLE like you that ashame Norway.... I am proud to be from Norway. As for you... you simply want to DISGRACE it.

  • @GimmeMoreMusic88 What's your problem? You pick on random people, you think you KNOW it all. Secondly, you curse a lot. And you love making people get angry. You are obviously a coward, a disgrace to Norway. It is sad that you pick on users on the Internet. Shame on you, and I'm not going to rot in hell... Because I believe in Jesus Christ as The Son of God. Got a problem with my beliefs? OK, whine to your Fuher... see what he thinks. Oh, wait... he's dead.

  • @Masterlink981 one problem with ur statement im not from norway but it was a noble try

  • @GimmeMoreMusic88 PFFF Whatever let's just grab a root beer and forget this happened...

  • @Masterlink981 dont get drunk man

  • Adam Sandler movie brought me here. I see Adam is such a rocker with a good taste of music and tries to show it in all the movies with him!!))) That's just great!! I would like to show him my own scripts.

    1)Led zeppelin 2)Allman brothers 3)Mark lanegan 4)BB king 5)Rolling stones 6)Pink floyd 7)Queen 8)the who 9)Black sabbath 10)Iron maiden/Metallica.

  • 1.) The Antlers 2.) Radiohead 3.) The Beatles 4.) The Who 5.) Bon Iver 6.) Fleet Foxes 7.) Elbow 8.) Genesis (Peter Gabriel era) 9.) Spoon 10.) Cage the Elephant

Most of you will probably hate these, but look up the ones you don't know I think you might like them.

  • First time i heard this song (end title of the film 2004 film "Crash"), i thought it sounded like a "Who" track but wasn't sure. Searching the film OST, i realised it was a performance by the band "Stereophonics". Turns out to my delight - the original was indeed by Who (how can such awesome heavy drumming be by anyone other than Keith "Looney" Moon??!!), and Stereophonics had stayed quite close to the original version in terms of rendition.

  • How come pearl jam dont make any lists

  • @Joel96123 1. The Beatles 2. The Who 3. Pearl Jam 4. Neil Young 5. Wilco 6. Boston 7.Broken Social Scene 8. Rush 9. Husker Du 10.Nirvana.........their on my list and would be number 1 but you just cant beat the beatles and the who no matter who you are

  • I'll never forget the first time i heard this song. I had accidentally woken up very early. i was tired and irritated. i grabbed my coffee, sat down at the table and turned on the radio. Then this song comes on. The very first note brought me to tears. After the song i ended i sat there till my coffee went cold. My life changed after that one note. Unforgettable.

  • @BoristheObelisk That's it, thanks ! Good ol' radio...no visual distractions, just your imaginations,...and real music !

  • GREAT JOB AND TUNE STANDS THE TEST OF TIME ~ RIP KEITH MOON ~

  • 1. Crosby, Stills & Nash 2. Kings Of Leon (2003-2006) 3. The Rolling Stones 4. Bob Dylan 5 Stereophonics (2003) 6. The Beatles 7. The Libertines 8. The Doors 9. The Stone Roses 10. The Who... It could go on for a while. Cheers.

  • I could imagine this for an action scene, in a movie.... :3

  • Had to re-hear this song, after seeing the movie "Reign over me"... Luv this song!

  • powerfull voice of daltrey..

  • I remember lending the LP from my uncle in the mid 70's, banging on my headphones and listening to this whilst getting dizzy from smoking my first cigs. I was about 14 at the time.

Still sends a shiver down my spine.

  • As much as I love this song, and The Who in general, if you honestly think that today's music has no inherent value, then by all means, go ahead and off yourself. It will keep those of us who can adapt our taste and appreciate variety from having to listen to closed minded idiots

  • The movie brought this song back epicly!

  • even when i lost the mod style i still love scoots, but this always stayed with me, why? cuz its 1 of the most emotional and inspiring albums ever created, n' iv listened to alot of music genres, from hip hop to rhythem n' blues

  • Best six minutes of driving to school is when my mp3 player plays this on shuffle...

  • I listen to this on vinyl, tubes and transmission lines.

If an album could be described as sacred - this one's getting there.

  • @bingowings65

You had me at vinyl, but then you went on tubes and I lost my load on "transmission lines".

I would have to agree this album is a milestone. Townsend outdid himself.

  • Heard this on the radio for the first time today, while half asleep in my car on break from work. SO glad I remembered what the chorus was so I could look it up.

  • great song but the name is "reign o'er me"

  • an absolutely powerful and moving song! classic! i am in awe every time i listen to the words and music.

  • 14 people have no heart

  • @WeazelofCastlemere Good song ta listen to STONED!!!!
