  • Pops has some very developed runs, and his sound=AMAZING. But then you hear Maynard shortly after, and realize: "His sound is one of a kind all out incredible, impossible to replicate." At least, I realized it.

  • Is that Roger Ingram back there in the trumpets?

  • @Kickerinthehead yuppers.

  • Excelente esse duelo entre os astros!!! Sucesso.

  • Бесподобно ,нет слов.

  • nice holton...i had one with a rose bell...super sick trumpet...i used be able to hit some dumb notes...way too high for a 18 year old to be playin...trust me...lol, stupid high

  • Shit man, killin first solist- wish the rest of the band sounded as good- especially maynard

  • @CaptainJazz92 What are you talking about- the rest of the band sounded damn good- especially maynard

  • @selector111 i forget why i said that, they sound fine now, i must have been thinkin of a diff maynard vid on here, my bad man

  • @CaptainJazz92 There are no bad videos of maynard on here, haha just kidding some of Maynard's playing and band didn't sound as good in his final years.

  • One word, DAMN!

  • i agree he had a great solo

  • who's the soloist on trumpet in the beginning?!? he sounds fantastic!

  • @jazzanova68

    Walter White.

  • Awsome, Maynard was still playing strong until probably about the mid 90's then it was all about high notes and lip trills, but this is very tastie soloing by both and roger ingram is awsome as well along with the rest of the band, this is one of the best bands he had before he went to the pocket sized band that i didn't really like as much but i understand why he did it.

  • 3:01-3:11

Reason y im still inspired by maynard, even tho he has passed away ='(

  • @DjCash128

    Ode to Joy ?!

  • nope. the range. i can get up there, my not that high consistently yet.

  • Walter White had the fattest lead sound of any lead player that ever played with Maynard. Love him on the Live from London album.

  • @crabboil929 I'm pretty sure walter played second trumpet in maynards band, I could be wrong though...

  • Probably my favorite MF chart. He always quotes "Lady Be Good" in his solo - Love it!!

  • 3:01 - 3:11 = why trumpet players love Maynard and his band!

Also, nice to hear and see Roger Ingram on lead trumpet!

  • I was gonna say that looked like Roger!

  • Thanx for sharing!!!!!

  • That is Walter White playing with him.

  • Is that Carl Fischer?

  • The "young guy" is Walter White.

  • Aus welchem Archiv ist denn das ? Mehr davon bitte.
