• u no wut i think cnn should be caled comunist news network

• because he was hungry

• Republicans have taken on a new name lately. They have insulted the American people for the last time thinking that we are all dummies. They have yet to speak to the people about issues that affect their lives. Yet they are in the sleaze business and wallowing in the cesspool of politics.

The republicans call themselves conservatives but they have changed that name to scumcervatives. instead.

• Will youtube allow Ralph Nader to be on the Presedential debates in the general election. Google have said they will do one.

We need youtube annd google to help people get informed about Ralph Nader who is always silenced by the corporate media.

nader 2008

• So far I like Kucinich the best. He's somewhat straightforward (more so than the others) and has good policies.

Gotta say though, I'm not very hopeful for the election. The republican candidates are just deplorable, and I KNOW the democrats are just riding on the failure of the Bush administration.

• I'll admit _most_ of the Republican Canidates are Very bad. Then I also have to say. Ron Paul must be the best Candidate on either side.

• hey bub im not some smuck who loves obama im not a toe nail sucker like u either im a proud republican

• the dems always hedge on everything, especially iraq. i wish i could say they didn't in this debate... but obviously to anyone who watched it, they did.

• Was anyone else wholeheartedly annoyed by Anderson Cooper's (un?)intentional jibes and biases towards the lesser known candidates?

maybe he was just relfecting CNN but it was really disheartening.

• Hey conservatives, stop letting these socialist, communist, liberal retards shove you around. They've taken over the internet, newspapers, tv,ect. Rise up against them. Spread the word. They've been at a soft war with us for years, its time we started speaking about it and fighting back.

• Vote Fred Thompson 2008!!!

• How did they do? WTF

• Hmmm... The link for my reply appears on my own video but not this one. WTF is with that?

• D'oh. Either thumbnails caught up or I have a vision problem. There it is. So low down the list roght from the start though... blah!

- The Sock

• People need to get their videos uploaded over there.

The Republican Debate is August 5th and we get another chance at the Democrats on August 19th.

Spread the word - Time's running out.

• Why did they let that guy ask about the slavery issue. I was bit outraged...there are more important issues at hand. I received hate mail on my site (infonextlive)because I spoke my mind on the politics page. Oh well I stand firm on this!

• I just tried to aim our debate commentary here but seeing as it is comedy I don't know if it will be accepted. For anyone who wants some debate comedy, check it out at:

• Who cares if the "top tier" republicans don't want to show... give the others a chance... they have more interesting things to say anyway. :)

• Biden's remark on the "babies"... the gun question... and Richardson's answer... people who are not mentally well enough to own guns... That is subjective. Look how everyone thought that Einstein was crazy and it turned out he was a genius... so if one "doctor" (=quack) thinks I'm crazy, then I can't own a gun? That BS and should NEVER have passed legislation!

• i almost fell off my chair laughing at Biden's response, he was honest and said exactly what was going through millions of peoples minds

• How would you know what was going through people's mind? Are you a mind reader? It doesn't matter how many were thinking it anyway... it's still BS. I guess next it will be required that you have to see a shrink before you can get a gun... then it'll be "gov. approved shrinks" only.

Just like kids you give them an inch and they take a mile... Just look at Bush.

• I thought it was pretty bias of CNN to pick that question ...

CNN forced the discussion on "gun control" to appear as a redneck campaign for assault rifles, and NOT people that are defending the Bill Of Rights.

The real argument for the 2nd Amendment is about protecting the Constitution.

• Big media spends WAY TOO MUCH time on the "top tier"... They are the ones with all the money for ads, commercials, etc. to get their views, opinions, plans, etc. heard... Give the stage to the ones who need it!

• Well, they may not attend the CNN/YouTube Debates, but they have agreed to do the ABC Iowa Debates which includes YouTube's new I-Caught TV promotion.

Can we blame the GOP for not wanting to attend the CNN YouTube debate ?

Honestly, the Republicans have not faired well here on YouTube; Rudy Giuliani received the worst ratings of all candidates and McCain was bombarded by negative comments. The only one of them to benefit from this is Ron Paul.

• I look at the way CNN handled the last debate by unfairly balancing talk time and creating a boring forum. There was an opportunity there to create something exciting and they blew it.

• SUCCESSNEVERLESS dot BLOGSPOT dot COM

• yeah they got asked some pretty week questions... Like I seen more better questions get passed up compared to the number of obvious question that America already knew the answer to from the candidates. If yall did your reaserch instead of look at youtube all summer long, these week ass questions wouldn't have to be the highlights I saw on that TV show 360* with Alison Copper, what ever his name was.

• I was very disappointed in the fact that not one questions on immigration reform came up in this debate. I know for a fact that many people posted questions about immigration reform but none of them made it inot the debate. The only moment in the entire debate they talked about immigration was during the healthcare questions so it wasn't even the main point. As a personal devoted viewer of not only cnn but also anderson cooper's show i was very disappointed.

• yes it is one of the most important things. If 1 Million Illegal Aliens can enter our country unstopped then thousands of terrorists could come in unstopped too. Other then that small reason there are many others that demand our borders be under our control. If our Leaders don't see that then they are blind or corrupt.

• They're too busy seeing dollar signs from the uncontested tax money they get from those illegal aliens. Those aliens pay taxes, and will never get any of it back; because, as soon as they try, they will be deported. The Government is corrupt, and I think it's time a new democracy was established. Get rid of the crooked politicians, reinstate the separation of Church and State, and let the Government serve the people again instead of their own wallets.

• indeed, OTMs (Other Than Mexicans) cross the boarder daily. a good percent of the people coming over that fence aren't even Mexican... 80

• You are correct many people that are in our country illegaly are not Mexican. However many are Latino (latino means every country below Texas) and there are a large number of Indian, Irish, African, Chinese and other Asian peoples. But 3000 a day (over 1 million a year) enter our country and that is a lot of people that should not be here. Some want jobs, Some bring Drugs others I am too scared to think about.

• what doesn't make sense is if there is a big weakness like that at the border why isn't America suffering more devastating terrorist attacks? I think its all a jip, 911, the war on terror, its all just a great set up cause in the end there gonna get there way no matter who we pick

• It's about time someone realized this!

• I say that we get our troops out of the war zone, apologize for butting into THEIR buisness, and have the troops at the boarder so that its stronger!!

• i'd rather live on a border state, personally, but me living there wouldn't enhance our security any. i consider this a flawed premise.

• Yea. We were not attacked by Terrorists, unless you consider people within Terrorists. The Pentagon was _not_ hit by a commercial plane. A commercial plane would have made a far-far bigger hole then 16 feet.. And left more then the <4 tons of wreckage.

That alone should make you question every thing else about the 'attack'.

• You're completely right eklypse0. Even most people won't believe in you.

• why would anybody suppory gay marriage? if we end up with a president that supports it america is in trouble

• Your same argument was used by racists preaching against interracial couples. Of course, since there is a religious backing to the idea that gays should not be allowed to marry, it is not viewed as discriminatory. Irregardless, America still stands with interracial couples, and is the better for it. The same would be true if gay marriage were allowed. Besides, America has larger problems to deal with, I.e. Immense deficit, war, terrorists... sheesh.

• why? honestly people like you just make me laugh. ALL PEOPLE have the right to live their lives as they choose and they should have the same rights under the law. You know that when this country still had slaves they used to make the same argument about legal marriages for blacks. You're just a racist that's all.

• Why? Because you hate gays? Whatever happened to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Gays should have the same rights that we straight people have. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say, "...life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as long as you're straight." Bigots full of hatred for anything different is what puts America in trouble, not gays.

• Again, you're right in your facts but I have a different perspective. This is is the worst abuse of executive power domestically and the closest we've come to a dictatorship.

The administration has put a Supreme Court in place that may very well uphold the unconstitutional expansion of power justified by the unitary executive and commander-in-chief theories.

And, by the way, past abuses don't justify their continuation and expansion.

• Please go back and study constitutional history before making any more statements. And while you are at it please study several countries that have ture dictatorships.

• At this point, I still have a right to free speech and to express my opinion as do you. Instead of attacking me and telling me what to do, or not do, it would be more productive to stick to the issues.

• I'm not sure what I'll hear but I want them on record. "Hating us for our freedoms" sounds good but isn't the answer. So far, the only one who comes close to understanding this hatred is Ron Paul.

You're right about the arrogance and hypocrisy in foreign policy of past administrations. Read Stephen Kinzer's, "Overthrow, etc." But that's what creates much of the hatred and danger to us.

Our part in these causes and a more proper response is what I'm not hearing from any of our leaders.

• And, past abuses don't justify continued and expanded abuses. As President Eisenhower warned, we need an informed citizenry to counter the power of the military industrial complex.

Maybe this will help reduce these abuses since they are not only wrong but make us less safe.

• It was neat to see my NCLB song/video/question on CNN. I thought that Richardson and Biden did a great job answering it. If only there was time for all the candidates to answer!!!

• I think it is sad there are so few responses but if you look at the top rated videos on YouTube you will find they are probably some girl shaking it or a guy impaling himself on a handrail while doing a skateboard trick. America may deserve the President they get but gees I took the time why cant others. sad just sad.

• Long winded yutzes that are feeding us the same old crap!! Sorry fecalbrains,we're not mushrooms and we're sick of your shit!! We have real change at our finger tips. Why in the name of sanity should we go along with you Democrats or the Republicans? They Lie, they steal, they support genocide and terror training. Oust the whole kit-n-kabutal.

• I think I counted 15 obama "UH's" in a 60 second response, is that a record?

• This whole thing is a desperate move on the liberal, yes i said liberal, democrats. It's nothing more than a three hour joke. I'm not ready for socialism ... ever!!! These guys are doing just what the fake conservatives are. How shameful!

• come and live in nottm dudes

• Well - not just the candidates - THE PEOPLE SPOKE!

They were given a chance to have a VOICE - Need more of that!

Sparklestheclown

• In Jefferson's own words "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between church and State."

• Also, short quotes from James Madison: " "the number, the industry and the morality of the priesthood, and the devotion of the people have been manifestly increased by the total separation of the church and state." "Strongly guarded...is the separation between religion and government in the Constitution of the United States."

• The Mayflower Compact did not establish the United States as its own country, but as a colony of Great Britain. Unless of course, the "founding fathers," as you have labeled them, intended for us to continue to bear allegiance to the King of England. Interesting how the actual founding fathers chose to leave out the "spread the gospel of salvation through Jesus" in the US constitution. If that were the supposed reason this country was created, it would have made sense to put that in.

• man wt the FUCK is this bullshit. stop taking over you tube you cocksuckers..

• Jon Stewart brought a good point to the table in the Daily Show. Politicians are IDIOTS. the conferences were held in the small screen. See the little button in the corner there? the fullscreen button? press it. Goood! Dam americans...

• I am an Atheist, and I believe you should be able to believe whatever you desire. However, I DO have a problem when people attempt to legislate their religion, especially if the goal is to discriminate against others. The founding fathers, most notably Jefferson, did much to ensure that there would be a seperation of Church and State, however, this has been trampled on in recent years.

• Amen

• I am by no means saying that, and I did not specify my political viewpoint. At the current juncture, I would choose to vote for Ron Paul, because he is in favor of not only restoring our civil liberties, but also limiting the size and scope of government. Neither the democrats, nor the Republicans have addressed this issue, although the Republicans pay lip service to "small government."

• Seems like other debates but with more random questions.

Click our name, TheAnimationEmpire, and view our latest video, Who Would Win 5: Abraham Lincoln or Ronald Reagan? Stay for our latest 3D animation, Making of the MysteryGuitarMan 3D Logo. Thanks!

• I think this is a good start. There were some good questions but most were pretty mainstream. However, the best approach is to have informed journalists asking tough and probing questions. Unfortunately, with the media consolidation, we don't get that and many times the mainstream media acts like a fourth branch of government.

Where were the questions on executive power, Arab/Muslim hatred towards us and abuses in foreign policy?

• Help safe America for Democracy.

• where are the REAL QUESTIONS? It's all bullsh** until they get asked in public.

1) 14 permanent military bases in Iraq - what's the plan with these?

2) Will you re-open 9-11 investigations and answer all the unanswered questions?

3) What do you think about the 'private' federal reserve bank and it's control over the govt?

• Extremely good questions! Wow, why weren't these asked youtube?

• betcha all the 911 questions where the 1st things deleted--too hot to handle

& if someone said they would reopen an investigation the truthers would hound the crap out of them or they would end up dead from lead poisioning!!

• They scare me... God Help Us

• It would've been much more useful to me if all candidates were able to view all submitted questions, and respond to whichever ones they wanted for as long as they liked. For a much more informative approach, I recommend checking out the Candidates@Google Youtube videos by ATGoogleTalks. Each candidate gets an hour-long Q&A session there, and I'm hoping Google will manage to do all of the candidates by the time elections roll around.

• I'm tired of politicians giving soft, vague answers to direct questions. Every one of these Democrats needs a shot of testosterone, in the hope that they can stand up to the aggressive tactics of Republicans. Otherwise, they'll cave in time and time again, just like they did earlier this year. It's why I've been an Independent for the past 3yrs.

• There were some good questions and most questions no different than our mainstream commentators. I think it's good to get the citizenry involved but the best approach is to have informed journalists willing to ask tough questions. Unfortunately, the media is too controlled and many times acts like a fourth branch of government.

Where were the quesions on executive power, reasons for the hatred against us, abusive foreign policy and our business-controlled government?

• yes, I agree - some of the questions, though significant, were not warranted in this format-does a question about minimum wage or gay marriage stack up against issues you've mentioned or when we're getting our troops out. All ?'s are significant, but they must be prioritized and most critical issues affecting most citizens should be scrutinized 1st and foremost!

• Debating the Debate: CNN/Youtube dems, Charlotte(SC) 7/23/07

watch?v=zlb_tLQKCNM

• unseen full version of this video type in third eye conspiracy

• what a bunch of bull pyramid0rz

• I was extremely dissapointed that there were no questions concerning the assault on our civil liberties by the current administration and the death of Habeus Corpus, and what the democrats will do to restore them, if indeed they intend to. Looks like Ron Paul is getting my approval.

• I agree, also they didn't give Gravel enough time, he was the only one speaking some truths. Still Ron Paul seems like the most honest one so far.

• i thought it went well for a first time thing, that one guy who said "in the back of everyone's mind" about blacks being paid back for slavery....uhhhmmm wow. really could have done without that oh and it WASNT in the back of my mind. way to make things ridiculously awkward in america for like 5 seconds. its that kind of mentality that will prevent us as a country from moving forward on this issue.

• CNN/ Youtube debate was just like every other debate in the pass: No substance just a bunch of idealism. It would of been much more productive for CNN to allow each candidate to address the questions one by one, not radomly. I think last nights' new format did Americans a diservice as usual. But i commend CNN and Youtube for treading new territory. Clinton was stale and rehearsed as usual. Obama, Edwards and Biden demonstrated leadership.

• I dunno I thought Edwards' tack on health care and his experience and success with fighting health insurance companies was remarkable. No other front runner has dared to make that challenge to date. It's also fun to watch Hillary make a "Who farted?look" as he makes his challenge.

• I liked what he had to say as well but you should give Kucinich some credit for a well defined plan of universal health care that diminishes the profits of pharmaceutical and insurance companies. The plans of other candidates just make payment to these corporations mandatory.

• you guys got GOATSE'D HAHAHAHHA, how could the people at cnn not catch that.

• The debate was biased and effectively pointless due to how they gave the majority of time to some candidates and starved others. Cherry picking questions means no real questions are being asked. Pathetic.

• Which issues did you feel were not covered? Katrina? War on Drugs? What exactly?

• My complaint centered on focusing on chosen candidates and ignoring others. Giving candidates comparable time would compensate for the slimmer range of issues brought up. It's also the most fair and effective way to narrow the field.

• The Assault on our civil liberties by the current administration and what, if anything, the Democrats intend to do about it. I would have thought something as important as our civil liberties would have made it into the debate.

• I agree that this is an important issue.

• All I am asking "Is Give Peace A Chance"

• Every one the U.S.A Was founded by our great fore fathers. All of them were republic. christian too and if we the people of the USA take that from usa we will not last long at all

• oh, please. We could definitely do with a little less christian bluster, and without most of the so-called christian blowhards who rely on myth rather than evidence to make policy decisions.

• Yes...OUR founding fathers were Republican, however, the 17th century "Republicans" you speak of are equivalent to OUR 21st century "Democrats"! Thomas Jefferson and the rest of our founding fathers were apart of a party entitled the Democratic-Republicans. It wasnt until 1831 that they dropped the term "Republicans" and continued with the usage of "Democratic", hence, the DEMOCRATS! The other opposing party was entitled the "Federalists"!

• Thomas Jefferson, the author of the declaration of independence, wasn't exactly a model christian. Look up any of his quotes on christianity. The founding fathers were pro civil liberties, and in favour of small government, two things which the current republicans completely disregard.

• Don't be one of those people who after 9-11 said "thank God Al Gore isn't President."

Currently in Turkey, the government wants to introduce Islamic law and beliefs and the army is not having it. Government is goverment. Religion is religion. And if you don't think Turkey should be more islamic, should the United States be more Christian?

• Prior to our founding, the state religion of England went back and forth between Catholic, Protestant and Anglican and infringed on the non-state religions.

Our founding fathers were aware of the abuses done to and by religion. They observed that some religions established here were tolerant and others were intolerant.

The first amendment prohibits establishment of a state religion (religion out of government) and laws against its free exercise (government out of religion).

• P.S. Hence--Separation of Church and State. Just a different way of explaining the first amendment.

• hi this is tru

• All the foregoing 'free exchange of ideas' proves is that everyone has one, whether it's truly informed or not. Apart from the particulars, it's sad to note that so much rancor and outright cynicism prevails (at least in this venue). Also, it's 'safe' to carp about the conservatives/religious types from one's armchair, but they're often the ones who are risking their lives for our right to complain.

• Don't forget the naivete of the uninformed conservatives.

Plenty of liberals risk their lives as well. While there are times when there are real threats, much of the time the real reasons they're risking their lives are for the benefit of our large corporations and for exaggerated threats that can be contained without war.

Religion is fine who observe it but it has no place in government.

• Look at me. I argue politics online!

• ron paul 2008

• wasnt it great when mike gravel pointed to clinton and obama and called them out on being "in the big corporations pockets", obama being the talker that he is started rambling about some kind of bill he passed and his plans, not once denying that he is indeed in the big corporations pocket-obama evaded almost every question, obama is a puppet, clinton is to,vote for them and big corps win!

• Fact: nothing will change untill there's campaign finance reform. Fact, Obama is recieving record numbers of donations...but mostly from the interentet in smaller amounts from people like us. Obama made a good point about his leadership in that law that allows for transparency with regaurds to who funds the candidates.

• Fuck you.

• wow,RolinDHayse, now that was a very well thought out and very professionally presented comment, thanks for your verbal gymnastics, your probably a guiliani backer!

• obama may have passed a bill or 2 but he is still sponsored by big corporations,so he wouldnt make anything change for the citizens of america! everything would remain the same, how does the richest country in the world not take care of its citizens by granting them universal healthcare!

• another thing: what does god or religion have to do with politics, why ask any candidates what religion they are,it shouldnt matter, the more religious the candidate the more he/she is to rule the states according to the bible, which should never happen, good job cnn baiting the young into beleiving that you are fair and equal, what a crock!

• your a nut, to say religion has no affect on politics is insane, look at Bush. His religous views are quite evident in his self rigtheous foreign policy, thus, it's important to know a candidates theology or lack thereof.

• religion has no place in politics! just like scientific facts have no place in religion!

• remember in the end even cnn is owned by big corporation!and the guy at the top has his favorite! cnn will build up who they want to win with set up questions!how do we know who the people asking the questions are (senators nephews etc). this could be thought of as ground breaking stuff but its not,cnn has already had Ron Paul on and painted him as crazy! when he is the best choice for that side! ridiculous! this is all set up to make the people beleive that they matter!

• watch how cnn will spin it like the pros they are! i bet when its Ron Pauls turn to answer a question, cnn will play a funny/comical or stupid joke questions just before they ask Ron Paul his real question or immediately after he answers a question! to get people talking/laughing and not listening to Ron Paul!or cnn will run a long segment, then the a short commercial and get Ron Paul out of the way, while everybodys taking a leak!

• after all this america will end with Clinton or Obama vs Guiliani for president, both backed by big corporation, the war might end but big corporation is the winner in the end and the american citizens will see that nothing will change ,good job pumping up the big corps candidates

15 minutes for obama (backed by big corporations)

4 minutes for gravel?

not bias what do you think ?

• CNN fucking sucks. basically the headquaters of the liberal media.

• Debating the Debate: CNN/Youtube dems, Charlotte(SC) 7/23/07

watch?v=zlb_tLQKCNM

• Liberal media?? Your nuts, do you see that the media was an enabler for Bush in this illegal, immoral war in Iraq. P.S. Liberal media is a bunch of republicans for the most part, the only reason you call it "liberal" is b/c you hear O'reily and those idiots whom say the media isn't Consverative enough!

• You suck.

• yeah the whole media are liberals actually. lemme guess, you vote democrat? and lemme guess, you believe in global warming and feeling bad for poor people and all that other bullshit? what have poor people ever done for you. answer me that. and how is this war illegal and/or immoral???

• lame show me the republicans

• I do not agree with any of the Democrats on Iraq. They do not understand what is going to happen if the United States leaves Iraq. If the US Leaves Iraq, I predict that there will be an event of genocide like the one that occured in Rwanda in 1994, an Event the Democratic Party did nothing to help the Rwandan People and are doing nothing for the Iraqi People.

• Saying that the denicrats dud nothing for rwanda is untrue. Or I could say the republicans did nothing at all for the biggest genocide in darfur that is still occuring.

• it's not our problem, let them die

• You like in Darfur. Or how about the Congo, or Liberia, or before in Iraq, or Zimbabwe.

• I got bored really fast.

Where were all of the really good questions ?

I enjoyed Reverend Reggie's question on gay marriage. I was sure the reparations question was going to shake things up a bit more. I respected WebPundit's question. But the majority of this was the standard Q & A.

• We wanted to know about Clinton & Edwards talking behind the scenes about kicking other candidates out of the debates.

We wanted the candidates to be questioned fairly, but Anderson Cooper once again stayed away from Mike Gravel.

• I will not watch the upcoming Republican debate because this one was disappointing.

• I couldn't watch a bunch of wasted questions and the ignoring of Ron Paul.

• Spot on. Whenever the general public is given an oppurtunity to ask questions they throw it away on "free health care? lolz" and other irrelevant drivel. This is why they are poor.

• Big LOLZ - They asked Hillary what "liberal" means to her ... What the hell kind of stupid question is that ?

The woman was caught plotting to evict certain candidates from these debates and we get to her her define the word "liberal". Ridiculous !!!

• Obama 08

• The "debate" was quite lame. The questions were way too soft, one-dimensional, and at times down right irrelevant. (Who's your favorite teacher? Better yet, who cares?) The answers were just as bad. I felt I learned nothing about the candidates or their policies, save for Dennis Kucinich. He had the best showing at the event and his wife is hot! Unfortunately the amount of time he had to speak was 2nd to last.

• Democrats , Republicans = Same sack of horse shit.

Theres only 2 respectable people out of 18 running , Gravel , and Dr Ron Paul.

But only one of those is for the document this nation was founded on. The Constitution our founding fathers gave to us.

Dr Ron Paul!

• if you tube had all of the candidates' responses uploaded (along with the questions) i might be able to tell better. Question 16 & 22 are still missing responses.

• There was a CNN debate? You call that a debate. What ideas did we hear. On top of that, you did a great job of putting Mike Gravel in the corner and only asking him to respond on questions that were asked to him. Bias, no there is no bias. I bet $1,000,000 that Ron Paul will be on the end, who wants to bet against me???

• fyh

• remember in the end even cnn is owned by big corporation!and the guy at the top has his favorite! cnn will build up who they want to win with set up questions!how do we know who the people asking the questions are (senators nephews etc). this could be thought of as ground breaking stuff but its not,cnn has already had Ron Paul on and painted him as crazy! when he is the best choice for that side! ridiculous! this is all set up to make the people beleive that they matter!

• Unless when I went to re-fill my beverage...I missed it or did not hear it....DID ANY OF THE CANDIDATES TALK ABOUT ADDRESSING AND/OR SOLVING AMERICAS AIDS CRISIS?

• I hope Ron Paul gets the attention he deserves because he definitely speaks the truth!

• It matters not not what any Democrat has to say. They all serve their own bellies. Vote the Constitution Party.

• There was not equal time given to all, the only candidate who in my opinion spoke the truth (Sen. Gravel) was given very little time, Anderson Cooper, was as bad as Wolf Blitzer

• In my opinion, the only cadidate speaking the truth was Sen. Gravel, "Just follow the money, corruption is usually at the end of the trail"

• The worse thing that ever happened to CNN was when Ted Turner sold out to Time Warner. This was no debate. The questions were good, but Cooper/CNN did an injustice to the YTubers by marginalizing some candidates. This top tier/bottom tier labeling by the media hurts the discussion the public wants. It's the public that decides who is the top candidate, not the media. CNN should stay out of the debates if it can't do better.

• Obama is a majpr disappointment as we get into more substantive answers from him. He does not support gay marriage and will allow faith-based, state initiatives to drive this incredibly important civil rights issue. This is no different from Bush's thinking, it is simply dressed up differently.

• I noticed how Mike Gravel kept getting cut off when he was telling the truth about special interests.

• Why did CNN / YouTube bother to invite the other candidates? It seems the powers that be have made the decision for us.

Clinton, Edwards, and Obama keep preaching how things will change. But since the 2006 election all we have had is a lot of hot air, submision to Bush demands, and blaming the Republicans.

Why should we trust either side?

Isn't it time the independent parties put aside their differences and form a coalition. This may be the only way the people's voice will ever be heard.

• Did anyone else notice Mr. Richardson during question 24? Take a listen at 1:20 and crank up your speakers.

• "The only thing worse than soldiers dying in vain is MORE soldiers dying in vain!"

Right on, Brother Gravel! Preach it!

Follow the money!!

• Why do you keep deleting my video responces? This is a little more then rude. URL replace DOT with a Period i18DOTtinypicDOTcom/4kn9xjr.jpg

As you can see the video is uploaded and linked and then someone goes in and deletes the responce. Is the message too strong? Why do you delete it? Is my voice not important? Do you not care?

• Agree with you as mine was deleted as well. *sigh* or maybe the response was too honest.

• I was excited about the debate, hoping the hard questions would BE ASKED, and then nothing same ol'if you see there are several about impeachment, maybe one could have been posted! Also nothing on how to fix the Immigration issue and many more - next time you should take one or two good questions from all the major issues and have all candidates respond!

• I was interested about the minimum wage comment joe biden made. He said he is only worth 75k to 125k and didnt have any money. I wonder.... He makes so much money and where does it go? Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars every year since 1973 as a USA Senator. Does he own a house? Maybe a Car? No Savings after all of that time? only $75,000 ?¿?

• Wheres my video responce? I linked it and it was there and now it is gone. thats just wrong. Sorry I dont own a video camera but my videos give you all the information. Thats just sad. Maybe I will try again but it was there and now its gone. I thought I was an American.

• Well we still have to wait til Sep to see the next President, thats when Ron Paul takes the stage.

• Extremely disappointing!! It was a frikken Hillary-Obama show, the questions were obviously filtered and very weak reruns, so called non top-tier candidates get setup questions,, What else can I say? Candidate, total exchanges, total words, average words per exchange: Obama, 14, 2050, 146 Clinton, 12, 1794, 150 Edwards, 12, 1661, 138 Biden, 7, 1019, 146 Rich., 7, 910, 130 Dodd, 8, 1645, 206 Kucinich, 7, 985, 141 Gravel, 7, 580, 83 (credit kdwormy)
• Zomg no way those with under 1 percent of the poll votes got less time to talk, who would ever want that expect those 99 percent of the other people.

• the % in the polls are not the issue here.

To have a fair debate candidates must get equal debate time no matter what reason. By CNN distributing much of its time to the top-tiers they promote, in essence, who they want you to vote for.

• "bilderbergers"

• i agree

• these stats are very interesting - thanks! This is telling in itself -why don't we just narrow it down to the top 4-5 candidates and do another! Next time, stick to the most IMPORTANT questions, those realistic, pertinent items, such as GETTING OUR TROOPS OUT! THE UT Format was a great idea - let's just narrow it down, make it more efficent, and get to the bottom line!!!

• One step at a time -Actually it was historic and started a precident for more participation by the people.

Sparklestheclown

• We were looking for all new questions in an all new format. Not an all new format with the same old questions. Next time CNN should ONLY choose questions that have not yet been asked in a previous debate and then not 2-3 question of the same topic.

• We were VERY disappointed in the YouTube debate because, for the most part, the same old questions were asked for the most part. The war, education, Dafur and health care. There were several questions that were submitted to YouTube that have never been asked to a candidate in any debate, yet these questions were not chosen by CNN.

• Same here..try this site then..

youtube dot com slash APoliticalNews

• i know who i voting and it none of them and i be helping at the poll to!!! :)

• The candidates have a great opportunity here to doit youtubestylee and post their own video response without time limit to these questions...it would be less canned and constrained - I hope they all take advantage...I will trust those that do so -much more.

• I'm still voting for Ron Paul; he's stronger on diplomacy and the issue of war and he has a larger and more sensible domestic agenda then any other candidate. I've responded to a few points of the debate in some vids.

• Any one of the democratic candidates would be better than our current administration or any one of those running as a republican. What I would like to know is would any of tonight's candidates if elected, would appoint Al Gore to any position within their administration.
