ive fished here every sunday for about.3 months and never drawn a blank. my biggest was 12lb. But it can get busy here. And there seems to be a group of local kids turn up every couple of weeks.and they never stop shouting at each other all day.
its mad looking back at these to see how much harry has grown up since this vid haha keep up the videos guys i check everyday to see if youve uploaded any more..cheers
when i fish turners pool i float dog buiscits, i have had a 18lbs mirror using this method, and usually catch from 10-20 carp in a 6 hour session ranging from 5-20lbs.
On the reel for a bite to register would I have the center spool bit set to take line off and then put it back onto less line loss when I pick up the rod? If not could you please explaign what i do.
There are larger carp upto the 20lb mark however most of the carp are between the 3 to 5lb mark so getting the larger carp can be a bit of a task. great water for having your line pulled. Andy TheCarpZone
you are so good at hadleing fish m8 well done on your mirror carp keep up the good work about a week ago i pulled out a 10 lb mirror from a lake near mine
Took me 12 years before my first 20 and another 5 before my first and 1 of only 3 30s. Yes the waters i fish arnt exactly packed with fish of these sizes which didnt help but it comes down to luck to. I mean ive known people fish great waters and never seem to be able to hook 20s even though someone 2 mins down the bank do, with the same set up. Great vid looking forward to watching the rest of your vids. 5*s.
I have been carp fishing for around 2 years and have caught hundreds of carp but it took me 80 to catch a twenty, I can also say you don't need brilliant kit to catch carp as long as you have good enough reels and a decent tc rod then you're all set, it takes a lot of practise to tie rigs but carp fishing is simple and affective if you on the right lake and in The right place, tight lines - Ross.
if you mean it took you about 80 carp to finally catch a 20 pounder, then its probably where you are fishing. big water means big carp. there is a small pond by where i live full of carp and the biggest one in there is probably about 5-7 lbs.
the best thing to learn when you first start is to learn how to use the drag when playing a fish so then when you hit a big carp you'll be better off. nice vid tho mate!
That all depends on the bottom lol :o) Theres lots of things to consider when making rigs long or short and the bottoms only one of them. Another example is the water colour (clear or not etc). So maybe his rig length is correct for the water and fish in it.
Harry, your gear looks great! And your video is even better!!! I would very much like to know how much a setup like yours costs... and where I could get it on the web... I live in the States and carp gear is so hard to come by... Thanks for the GREAT video!!! - Jeff
