  • really cool

  • Will this work with maple?

  • Nice Video! This press is really simple. We just released a making-of video from the POGO Longboard manufactory in Southern Germany. They use an old Ski press. Works really good, too! Check out our YouTube channel to see how they build a Longboard from scratch with snowboard technology!

  • Nice Video! And really creative ideas of making it! We just released a making-of video from the POGO Longboard manufactory in Southern Germany. Check out our YouTube channel to see how they build a Longboard from scratch with snowboard technology!

  • i see you have connections with aotearoa. kiaora !

  • how thick is each layer of wood for the acual board and what wood did u use for the press and how far down should the deck be pressed to make like a .75 inch concave

  • It's a good thing your doing here. Thanks for sharing your skills dude

  • how long do you keep the board clamped?

  • @zerofunk01

    overnight.

and then I usually don't stand on it till a few days.

  • You remind me a lot of Gabe from the office.

  • will this give even pressure all the way across the board?

  • @njw2137

    No.

  • @OtherPlanetsSkate so wont it delam?

  • @njw2137

Its even enough for 1/8" baltic birch, but if you're trying to do maple, or formica, or 1/4" bb it wont work.

  • I see the New Zealand shirt, are you guys from NZ? :D

  • @NelsonLongboarding

No, but the shirt is :D

  • that is not simple

  • its only for concave... its kinda bad. no afrence how about a drop deck or a camber concave

  • @LongboardBail

For drop use a Dimm press, for camber IDK because I'm not a fan.

  • @OtherPlanetsSkate I didnt read the title or disc... Sorry... lol but.... how thick is that wood? And how many layers are there... AND what kind of wood

  • the concave dosnt flatten out because the glue holds it in that shape

  • thank yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu now i know how to do it

  • If you put too much concave on the board is there a chance the trucks wont go on properly? im completely new to longboarding and i cant really afford it if i buy everything.

  • @klooi48 you can just use a soft riser pad if needed. should be fine though.

  • BABOOOSHUAA !

  • cool press but how dose the concave not flatten out?

  • @him732 your not pressing one piece of plywood, your actually pressing 3 to 10 super thin pieces together with glue in between to make your deck.

  • So if I press a blank that is 12" wide with this style of press would I need the rails next to the center rail?

  • @wallasham

    You shouldn't need them.

Try doing it w/o any glue and check for any gaps between the plys.

  • Hey guys! Loving the stuff! Been following your work almost since the verrrry beginning! and just wanting to say that I love your guys DIY attitude with the gear you all ride and mad respect for sticking to your product!

Also, bit of a side note; Love the tshirt lol! It's where I live! New Zealand! and just a word of encouragement! When you guys are famous and are travelling all over the world and just happen to come to nz you can fully expect a LOT of fans down here as we love your crazy ideas
