i think lot of traditional design lines has been adjuted a bit too much make it look like they stolen from other cars, this does not mean it is not a superb car, but can also mean the modern design adoption finally came to volvo too... !?
Pt3. Plastics on the top of the middle console and on the whole area on door panels in soft to touch and feels pretty expenside when you touch it, but at the same time, it doesnt looks expensive like the plastics in Audi A4 for example. Just doesnt have that premium feels. Similar thing as in C class, its good quality , just doesnt seem that way. Everything inside seems solid and well build, except for the middle console betwen the seats which is made out of normal hard plastics.
Pt2. The central console that i've seen was in dark brown wood, which volvo says is real wood, but it really looks like plastic, although it is wood. The swooping central console itself feels very solid, since its mostly made from either aluminum or real wood, but it lies on hard plastics, and that might rattle after a few 1000 km's. The top of the middle console is badly designed. They say, you will get used to it. I dont want to get used to it. If this is a premium car, it needs to be perfect.
Pt1 : There are few faults with this car thats gonna make it fail to compete with germans. From what i've seen on the autoshow: The manual gearbox version has very long and not very precise shifts, also, your elbow hits the middle hand-rest every time you go from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th gear. The middle handrest is too high and it should be longer, more pushed forward. Those sliding "doors" in the front console behind the shifter are wobbly and might rattle, same as the whole central console.
@cyberbobpl Opel insignia is much cheaper because its MUCH CHEAPER. :P
Did you sit in it? Every piece of plastic feels cheaper than it should, everything rattles and squeaks after 15000 km's. Its not a premium car. This is isnt either. I love how everyone is trying to make a better car than Audi A4 is, but they all fail. This car is great, its definetily a premium car to be compared with bmw 3, mercedes c class and audi a4, but it still has some faults.

I really hope it's as good to drive as they say it will be! Otherwise I see it having a hard time trying to sell. I've got an S60R, it's great!
