  • in my opinion both are important but the most important is to speak, make mistake ,dont get angry when someone correct you

  • Hi Aja! I actually ran across your language channel because of your locs :) but I'm so happy that I did. I will be graduating in Dec. with a B.A. in Creative Writing. I'm also a Spanish minor so of course I was delighted to find someone who possessed the same degrees. I'm very interested in language as well and being able to communicate effectively with as many people as I can. Thanks for the helpful videos. Good luck with linguistics!

  • I love the article you wrote on your website. It's a little long, but very interesting. From the way you write and express yourself, you seem to be very smart. Nice videos!

  • Your spanish accent is excellent!

  • Finally I want to point out that the most importat thing we have to bear in mind is the MOTIVATION factor, 80% motivation and 20% method because when a person is really determind to accomplish something It doesn't matter what method you decide to use, you are going to achieve your aims anyway. As for the accent I would say that foreigns accents are nonstandars rather than bad because every accent and language is equally good or valid.

Muchas gracias por tus consejos son muy buenos.

  • So you can learn new vocabulary, accent, the music of the language, daily expressions, idioms and stuff and you don't make so many mistakes by thinking of grammar rules, when it comes to speaking there's no time to think you have to sepak automatically and that is exactly what a conversation between natives speakers in real situations teach you, we students learn from them, on the other hand textbooks and grammar help you to refine your speaking and teach you how to write properly.

  • You are right, languages are such a complex thing so they can't be defined as a simple word or rule. I personally think that It is a matter " what works for you as a learner, a combination of both methods because at the end of the day they are valuable resources to use but it depends on your needs and your level of the language. For example if you really want to learn or need to speak any language you must concentrate on real conversations like in movies and repeat everything over and over...

  • Aja, thank you for your quick response, I should have been more specific. How did you memorize all of the Spanish verb tenses. I write them down, but still can't remember! Thanks, Jerry

  • Excellent video! Do you read silently, aloud or both? Also how do you remember the Spanish preterite? so dificult! Thanks for your help. Jerry Bauer, Bogota

  • @jfbssp I read both silently and aloud, but whenever I feel like practicing my pronunciation or getting a sense of where it is, I read aloud. As for how I remember the Spanish preterite, do you mean how I remember when to use it or how to conjugate verbs in that form?

  • for me in and out-put are equally important.

about the accent for me isn't the big deal, as far as the native can understand you. but if they don't so thatz sign to adapt a proper and familiar to the native.

    nice vids.

    more plz :)

  • input and output are complementary ! You can speak if you don't have the words so you need input to learn the words in context and you can't speak well if you don't use those words you learnt ! When we combine both we learn faster !
