  • it's funny how there beeing like kids but thier tennagers

  • cute!!

  • This is a pretty nice video with the hippy stuff, but have you fellow bohemians ever noticed that FTBYAM sort of over-emphasizes the essence of being human to the exclusion of other species identities? i'm just telling you nicely cuz I'm a furry and also quite bohemian, but I really want my own tail and see my soul as nonhuman. This camp play offends me with its human emphasis. You're also free to be another species if that's your soul ;)

  • I love the original book, DVD, and CD of "Free to be, You and Me". You guys did a great job paying tribute to it... so nice to see this!

  • it looks like you guys had so much fun, very cute :)

  • Yep. Heard this one on a TV commercial and had to get my fix. Good stuff.

  • Well done. As someone born in 68, I grew up with this. It's great to see another generation living "Free to be you & me" Thanks :)

  • Great job you guys, the video was a pleasure to watch while listening to the song! Thanks! Great creativity :) Loved how the ending and beginning go together :)

  • this is a cool video. people having fun! what counld be better?

  • @razzledazzleIMFAO How do you know that? Are you an authority on "gay and retarded" razzledazzle? No offense.

  • I had this record too, when I was a very young girl. I loved this song. My 2 bff's and I would listen to this song over and over again. Wasn't there a matching book that came with the album? I recently heard this on a TV commercial and told my daughter all about this song & my wonderful childhood memories with this song.

  • @supermom6969 I believe there was a matching book that came with the album. I seen the matching book at my Dentist's office. The book also had the song Lyrics

  • Alright... now I'm happy

  • This is a good song. A neighbor of ours had this song on an LP and i played it till the record wore out LOL!

  • @Paulywint..........Me too ! Love this song!

  • I cant be the only one wishing for a twist ending where someone falls off a bench or blindly runs into a tree. Right?

And I certainly dont mean that maliciously, just for humors sake.

  • SEXY MOFOES !!!

  • i hope these people are still friends!

  • This song is performed by The New Seekers, one of the best folk rock groups of all time!

  • OMGosh! i havent heard this since grade school. I loed it then ans I still do now! I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE Marlo Thomas! She was funny in That Girl.

  • this song came out in 1972

  • I really enjoyed your posting! Well done, life-affirming, and quite fun.

  • What a great song. Love the banjo bits. Very uplifting!

  • Looks like that same fountain that was in that 3oh3 video, I think it was Starrstrukk

  • awesome ....thanks lots of cool memories and a really neat video...

  • This was MY FAVORITE MOVIE played for us in Grade school. I still Love IT!!

However, They(my elementary school)played this movie and its songs, etc. so much, every year, from Kindergarten to Grade 5, that(along with the movie "the Red Balloon", "Watership Down" in 1st or 2nd grade, and some other strange films) I now feel my elementary school was some weird psychology experiment gone awry, cuz lots of us are nuts!

BUT NOT BECAUSE OF "FREE TO BE..YOU AND ME" . That was our saving Grace...

  • I remember this song well from being taught it in the 70s. I'm afraid that land was so close yet so far. It was destroyed with the Reagan Revolution and the destruction of the middle class.

  • @topoftheday100 youre an idiot.

  • Thats a commanding song

  • my music teacher is teaching us that song for an assembley and to sing to my teacher.

  • i liked it, it looked like the girl was planning it out and jotting down ideas, and that was what the people outside were doing in her ideas and thoughts.. if thats what it was, i like that concept.. but just thesame, it was really cool.

  • Yet another variant of "Free to be" of Marlo Thomas & Friends (The New Seekers).

    Thanks for that!

  • Simple and fun great fun, I loved that song as a kid and still do! Reminds me of my friends in high school... and expressing ourselves through theatre and just letting ourselves be free.

  • @Jadesong that comment on the song free to be was just amasing i love your idea of the song and although i am onley in middle school i think the same thing nice job

  • perfect video! You show what the song is all about! Thanks!!

  • This is very cool and very well done! I really like it!

  • im teaching this song to my class to sing at an assembly, but i have to aways play it off youtube or myspace during practice. i cant figure out how to download in onto my computer,,, is this possible?

  • You can download this song from I-tunes if you have the capabilities. Good luck.

  • Yer AWESOME for posting this.. Only three things compare, for various reasons.. Billy Jack. Where the Wild Things Are. And that crying "Indian" chief by the roadside.

    Thanks! Sprawl

  • Hippie Propaganda..

    NICE haha

good job brought a smile to my face

  • Very very well done.. The New Seekers would love this video.

    ~Toto
