I have the same PC and I agree with the blue light i keep the tower on the top. I have the GM5626, and it has the 8500 GT in it. The noise you hear is your CPU fan, however I've had my PC for seven months, and just today it made loudest, strangest noise. I opened it up today, and the noise was definitly coming from the graphics card. The computer is 7 months old. It was quiet at first but now its loud.
My solution? If i hit my desk hard enough it stops for a good hour or two lol
i have about 4 or 5 fans on my PC it is really loud(CPU FAN, Motherboard FAN, CASE FAN, 8600gt FAN, and i think a PSU FAN)!!!! But i dont know which one is louder!!!
i have a total of 5 fans in my case you get use to them after a while doesnt even seem like they are their to me unless im not playing a gameand if the noise does bother you just learn to tone it out.
i do the black sock thing...and i have my 360 wireless resiver on the same way aswell....and im getting that card soon...just orderd it from ebay so now im waiting
is is said on the internet that the 9800gx2 is capable of doing mimum noise and heat... is this true or what??????? plz help

these have the fan speed set on stock settings, urs may have differnt bios setting fan speed at like 60% making it louder
