my old yamaha sr 125 sounds completely different, it's also a 125cc single, but carburetted, aircooled and simple ohc 2 valves layout - even though i never thought it'd make such a difference.

Look of this bike is very very nice, but the engine it's no big deal. I'm for 2 stroke engines (Mito, RS125) or in 4 strokes is great CBF125 it has very low consumption (about 2l/100km). Yes her engine is weaker, but it's twice cheaper than Yamaha.

Yes, and when you are 18 you have to do it all over again I guess. When I took the license you could take a truck license and drive everyting below that ( except a bike ) now you can't. it's the Government, they are thinking in fees, every test new fees.

It's a fine/proper 125cc sportbike for beginners, with better suspension and brakes then most 500cc standard bikes (like kawasaki's er5). Sure it's slow, it's only 15hp for christ sake, but it's still a fun bike.. and there's always the 2 stroke RS125 if you want a little more oomph.
