In my opinion the lyrics are slightly too fast for Maniac's shriek style, yet the awesome drum and guitar combination sounds extremely good and Maniac did the slower parts very well.

Black metal has to do with atmosphere and darkness so we need and more mid tempo parts with a nice riffing.Death metal must sound brutal as hell cause of it's lyrical theme

Hoy shit, you can the the sweat dripping off of Blasphemer's hands at 1:25 (at least in the actual DVD). Its insane how physically demanding black metal is, and they just play song after song for weeks and months touring. HAIL BLASPHEMER!!!!

My opinion...I think Maniac is...Fine.Ok.Just that.Nothing special...

Dead was a very good vocalist and I believe he would have recorded amazing if he were alive...

As for Attila...Well my thoughts on him have changed over the years.Whe I first listened to D.M.D.S...I was like "wow music" kicks ass but vocals=SHIT.

Now...I realise that this "difference" is what makes Attila differ...He has the most "theatrical" voice I've ever heard in BM.And D.M.D.S gives me shivers whenever I listn to it.

Maniac and Dead are the best vocalists.Attila just sucks ass in Mayhem..They don't suit their style of playing at all and it just sound like moans and groans everywhere and not even organized.Maniac vocals are fucking brutal,they pretty much shaped the way for newer bands that will come out.Attila's vocals don't sound BM at all!

With tormentor it was good,but not with Mayhem and yes I am saying I do not like DMDS.Everyting was perfect except for vocals,though luckily I have the studio recordins with Dead doing them(he did about 4 of the songs).Maniac is by far better than Attila,but Dead is the best and I know he is overated but his vocals were extremely unique at his time and he was who he was on stage and off.
