  • Zanardi è il ritratto vivente della gioia di vivere!! grandissima persona!

  • One of a kind. Grande Alex!!!

  • E' l'Inno migliore alla vita...qualunque problema ti possa capitare.

    Ciao

    Luca

  • Watch a video Of Venice Marathon!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the classiest and most inspirational people you'll ever see.

  • Kudos Alex Zinardi! This man has an Iron will! He cracks a joke about his accident! This man is something else! Bravo Alex!

  • Zanardi won the NYC Marathon a few weeks back in the hand cycling category. Go Alex Go.

  • aside from my father this man was my childhood hero. one of the biggest reasons i got into driving.

  • And I thought 1999 at Williams was an unlucky year for Alex...2001 was dreadful! So glad to see him racing again, let alone walking! He still wins races in the WTCC!

  • @nitroboost8765 He was 2nd in 1991 F3000, had various F1 drives between 1991-1994 inc Jordan and Lotus, then of course the successful CART stint 96-98 followed by lesser showings in F1 1999 and Indy again.

  • I'm proud of him, but i'm not proud of italian people. An example? There is not a video about this interview with italian subtitles.

    I am italian....

  • @NighthawkR8 - stop ur lazyness and put the italian sub on (I'm Italian too)

  • Alex is a class act.

  • stima incondizionata

  • stima incondizionata.

  • Forget his driving skills, great as they were - he's a great person! Class act all the way.

  • Five people finished two seconds behind Alex Zanardi at the NY Marathon in the handcycle class.

  • good english

  • hello 240p, we meet again

  • What a man! The joke at the end of the interview shows how strong he actually is

  • I'm going to buy that book immediately.

  • Alex forces admiration the way he explains the tragedy that occured that day

    Great man !

  • great Alex!!

  • great human being..

  • Oh, bless him! Honestly, to have such a great attitude towards this is just so tear-jerking! This man is an absolute legend, no one else even comes close! :')

  • What a real hero and real champion. He managed to win over life itself! Great man with a uniquily tremendous personality.

  • what a man!!!! this guy is a true champion

  • "A bit of Alex went into one side, and a bit went into the other." - No truer words of that horrific incident.

  • Alex Zanardi is a guy that when life threw him lemons, he managed to make grape juice. Really, this guy really is an inspiration.

Any chance of uploading Part 2?

  • @TheSheiban absolutely right man! this little "italian" man make me proud !

  • Alex mentions in this book that he received a call from Mario Andretti right before placing an order for new "legs" and asked him:

"Mario, how tall do you think I should be this time? " amazing personality!

  • Incredible. What a guy.

  • A real champion! Congratulations Alex! Best wishes from Brazil! Um verdadeiro Campeão! Parabéns, Alex! Saudações do Brasil!

  • seriously, one of the best racers open wheeled racing has ever seen!

  • Such a legend, a true inspiration

  • this guy is one invincible muthafucker!

  • "That gave me my second ticket to the David Letterman show."

Zanardi makes me smile every time he speaks due to his incredibly optimistic and life-loving outlook on everything. Truly one of the greats, not just on the track but off it as well!

  • Just a class act, and incredible driver.

  • Nice to see that he still have a sense of humor after what happened.

  • His optimism and attitude are both inspiring and admirable. He seems to effortlessly see the humour in such a horrible accident and make the most of it. My hat off to you sir...

  • I'd love to see him back in F1 one day.

  • alex tagliani gli ha tagliato le gambe...

  • go alex :) italy loves you! <3

  • Great to see him actually making jokes on it despite all the pain and despair he suffered not getting back into the sport normally...

  • @Wallbreaker91 Not getting back into the sport? He won a WTCC championship in this shape. Ok, next stop is F1.

  • Every time, I feel down, I see Zanardi's interview, because he has a great personnality and mainly because even after his accident, his handicap... he still doing his passion... I cried the day I heard they prepared him a Touring Racing car adapted to his handicap...This man is IRONMAN

  • I saw his first win in Portland 96.

  • what a f1 driver

  • shit

  • @alief54 if hes shit what are you, scum of the earth, nah thats too much a level for you to maintain

  • Such optimism after a terrible happening, and he made a joke or two about his crash, this guy has will power-what a great driver!

  • Alex Zanardi: true grit personified.

  • Alex Zanardi: true grit personified

  • as forrest gump would say " magic legs"

  • What an amazing guy. A genuine goodlad!

  • Alex is a great guy. One of the happiest guys on the planet.

  • This guy is just the most amazing and awsome man ever! I am stunned.

  • was this after he lost his legs

  • @GinoJerry86 think the two walking canes might answer that

  • He really is an inspiration. He can lost both of his legs in a crash, which would just destroy most people, but he can keep doing what he loves in spite of this, and laugh about the whole thing. I wish I could be like him.

  • Long live Alex Zanardi

  • Alex sei un grande!! :-)

  • ALEX OVET THE TOP!! N° 1

  • Alex Zanardi is my Hero!

  • "Give me the ticket for the second Letterman's show..." xD

This man is a god! :)

    Grande alex. ^_^

  • What a great man, one of my heroes and anyway, how can 5 people dislike this???? :S

  • @kremmen64 Well, what would the world be like if we didn't have at least 5 people to tell to go to hell, right?

  • @drtyfknmouth good answer :)

  • @kremmen64 6 fucking people

    :-(

  • Man , what an inspirational human being . Major respect !!!!!!

  • @bogfish33 I agree with that for sure

  • @RUDEGOOD can't you see that I was responding to someone whose message is not even there anymore??? is it too difficult to understand that??? yes, there are weird and slow people on here...

  • respect

  • @robi5555 :)

  • What a guy ! ! ! my new favorite racer, " a bit of alex went this way and bit went the other "

Typical of him to get fired by the shallow europeans, for losing his legs racing

  • @arielsfish He lost his race in a CART race in 2001. He was fired from WilliamsF1 in 2000 because he's slower than Michael Schumacher's brother Ralf who's not known as a great talent.

  • @arielsfish Shallow Europeans????? There is no population in the world more shallow than Americans.....in Europe people still have some values at least.....Zanardi was fired the year before his crash because he wasn't fast enough in F1....now he lives in Padova, 5 minutes from my house!

  • Great human being. Respect for A. Zanardi.

  • Haha! I used to live in Bologna!

    A. Zanardi is a legendary!

  • what an inspiring man

  • That guy is amazing and I will always have respect for what he does. Not many people will lose their legs and then walk again.

  • Alex Z is truly a class act. Sadly Cut short in the pinnacle of his racing career

  • Respect.

  • Peccato che uomini del genere non ce ne sono più molti....=)

  • I do respect him.

  • good to see him in good spirit though..respect alex

  • Zanardi ftw! Think about it, he has no legs, but instead of riding the wheelchair he drives a supercharged BMW 320i and it does over 200 kph!

  • Zanardi you are my hero! and a REAL MAN!

  • wot an inspiration he is to others a hero

  • I only wish this guy had realised his full potential in F1

  • this dude is cool. love his optimism

  • Wow, great man

  • Alex Zanardi is a hero.

  • This man's got some fucking tragic life. No offence! His dad, sister dead and he himself had a run in with death. How can he keep so positive with all the sad shit going on in his life. Once again my respect to this great person!

  • @Stn3dRaid3r Well he does his wife\children to think about..

  • This man is a life lesson

  • What a class act.

Only tarnished in that he had to sit next to dipshit letterman

  • Wow Zanardi always was a favorite racer of mine, since his CART debut, but this just makes me like him more. Thanks for posting it.

  • Thanks God there are still Italians that make us prouwd to be Italian! Great sportman good man Iron Caracter!

  • biggest here in the world, after MJ, MJ peace RIP !

  • alex zanardi is a huge inspiration to me and should be to everyone else

to go through what he went through and still be smiling, joking is just plain awesome

    FORZA ALEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • never give up...hes such a great perosn.

  • nice driver and guy :P just a good example for all

  • italian's brave!!!

  • 10,100,1000 Zanardi!!!!!!

    Life's example

    Thanks Alex

  • Cool guy.

  • He's not suitable for F1 of the 90s...had he raced in F1 in the 70s or 80s he could have achieve something

  • Vasser and Zanardi = best team in the history of racing

  • amazing

  • can anybody write what letterman says at 0:47 after alex mentions "tagliatelle alla bolognese"?????? I'm trying to learn english =)=)=) thank you very much

  • He asks if Zanardi had been "eating a lot of that (tagliatelle and pasta)".

  • pasta, large spaghetti with soap of meat

  • At that point it is an incomplete sentence, Letterman says this to move Zanardi further into the conversation: "it was pasta and some kind of..um..."

  • WOW!

Gotta love his sense of humour... Letterman was just silent

  • Alex, sei sempre il piu' forte !!!!

  • alex is a great great man. i m sure it would be an honour to know him in everyday's life!

    i love his optimism!

  • Geezer!

  • Really cool cat. I remember watching him in the CART days, he was a hell of a driver.

  • All my respect! Great driver! An extraordinary person!

  • CHAMPION!!!!!

  • Alex isca true champion of life!!!!!! awesome driver..

  • alex went one way and alex went another way. so that gave me another ticket to the david letterman show. xD lmfao he is amazing. much respect

  • My favourite driver ever. A true champ and a real dominator.

  • 2:05 Lolz

  • Alex:un canto a la vida!

  • MY HERO.

  • Alex is a good guy. Some Indy Car racers could learn a thing or two from him in terms of having a sense of humor and not being a jerk to other drivers.

  • @DontGoInThere Agree, jerks like Paul Tracy...

  • a true hero.thanks alex.

  • What a great guy Alex is.. And he keeps racing in the WTCC now. What the top-level motorsport both in Europe and in the US lacks now is personalities. People can't really make a difference between all the 22 or so year old show-offs. I miss Alex and all the guys from back then.

  • its great to see him walking again

  • @djbadlt even if those legs were prosthetic's

  • @djbadlt I agree.

  • bold statement, considering it comes from someone who just said "I don't like italians" the day before.

Italy's plenty of problems, I have the right to say I don't like living in Italy these days, and yet I get to meet amazing people every day, even in a rottening country.

A country's government doesn't represente all its citizens, thank god.

  • you don't like italians???

don't be STUPID. What do you like ? The millions of imbeciles who voted for Bush twice and who in one or or another should be responsible for the killings of thousands of innocent civilian iraqis??? GEt a life. People don't like YOU.

  • what? you are an italian youself???

Then just stop wasting people's time here on YT.

  • You are a true champion Alex Zanardi

I could only wish to have the strength and courage that you possess.

  • bolognese english

  • good job alex!!

    Zanardi-Reynard-Honda-Firestone-Morris Nunn!!!

  • he's a great guy.. he didn't lose his humor although he lost two legs. life is so valuable and zanardi proves this in a fantastic way

  • Alex is a true hero

  • Always keeps his chin up this guy! Class!

  • fsp505, i loved your last phrase, got me to thinking, and what you wrote is very real.

this kind of people show us that nothing is impossible.

  • This guy is amazing. How can someone suffer such a tragedy in life and still be able to make jokes about it? Admirable human being.
