You know whats awesome about your teaching style. You break the song down into simple easy components and then build up complexity. Very nice. I also like the fact that you go into detail into the strumming patterns which are always my downfall. Most of the online stuff completely ignores timing. Thanks my friend. what does (u) mean?

it just means you make the motion of an upstrum but don't hit the strings. Basically it's a positioning thing to get you ready for the next not which is a downstrum. You'll see this when a measure ends in the same up or down that it starts with. Makes sense?
