I'm starting the Heterosexual Civil Union, We work for the future of Humanity do not let the human race die out! It'd be a damn shame to see GAYS forced to hook up with the opposite sex to continue our race.
when that guy started speaking at like 9:15 what i heard was that straight soldiers fight better than gay solders and that americans are better than everyone else. to me that doesnt sound very american
The IDF, one of the best military forces in the world, allows soldiers to serve openly. These republicans have got this completely backwards and will fail if they don't start changing this stone-age policy.
You never know if the gay guy in the fox hole might miss the long thing up his ass that he might stick his gun barrel up there and next thing ya know he has an accidental discharge.
All minority groups need to unite. LATINO , BLACKS , MUSLIMS , ASIANS , GAY if we all unite for that all are group get equal rights we can change american goverment.
LETS GET THE REPUBLICANS OUT OF OFFICE,
IF YOU ARE A MINORITY AND HAVE EVER FELT DISCRIMINATED / NOT HEARD / LEFT BEHIND or treated eual. UNITE AND LETS ALL VOTE 4 DEMOCRATS. ..... BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS REPUBLICNAS ONLY CARE FOR THE 1 % MINORITY of RICH AMERICANS
What a blatant insult to our brave Allies in Iraq, this deluded ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee, Duncan Hunter, saying our allies don't go into "dangerous places" as do the Americans so it's ok for them to have gays in their military. He just doesn't get it....
So then, would you agree that the majority of the signers of the Constitution agreed with that one person, Thomas Jefferson, to instill the Separation Clause?
wow i didnt know that. hmmm makes me look at it differently then. i feel a bit stupid agreeing with my dad who hates the fact the dont ask dont tell is being removed. intresting i didnt know brits did that. but i do got to say the europeans are a bit more excepting to wierdness then the americans are. we are a bit more conservative europeans are a bit liberal.
shut up. it takes a bit more time. seriously people you expect our president to fucking make changes and save the planet in a day. shit. he is doing the best he can. cuzz you know he is kinda working on a failing economy, corruption and 2 wars. i dont see that gay rights is right up there on his to do list just yet. so be fucking patient.
war is kinda hard to ummm just pull out one day it takes fucking time. what dont you understand about that. its not like sex where your about to cum you pull out suddenly. no it takes hard work, you risk civilian lives if you retreat all of sudden one day. you got to gradually leave.
I doubt gay soldiers would be as detrimental as it's made out to be. Straight Leaders fuck up the Army enough without gays. So I think it's a non-issue. If someone in my fire team came to me and said "Sgt. I'm gay" I would say "You want a fuckin' award or something?" because what people do in their personal time has no bearing on ability.
Duncan Hunters statements here are a fantastic mix of arrogance and stupidity. People are going to be laughing at this kind of backwards logic in ten years time.
gay americans who wish to have a military career should join a foreign military where gay people can serve e.g.
Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Britain, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Your own country doesnt appreciate you, go somewhere that will
@crackerjack05 Oh, yes. That would be ideal. Let me relocate thousands of miles away from my family, my friends and away from the country that I love, to serve a country I wish not to reside in. All of those countries you mentioned once banned gays & lesbians from the military also. I'm sure they'd appreciate your service of wiping off tables and licking the floor though.
Someone tell me why our allies such as Mexico, UK, Australia, Philippines, Israel, Spain, France, New Zealand, Japan, France, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Canada, etc. don't seem to have a problem with unit cohesion with openly Gays & Lesbians in their respective military? And why is that US standards of Gays in the mlitary fall in the same standards ironically with Saudi Arabia, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Pakistan, China, North Korea, Egypt, Cuba, and Russia?
Actually, it's totally ignored due the fact that even Gay Christians can't even get married in their respective religious freedoms. That's like a Seventh Day Adventists telling a Lutheran not to worship on Sundays which interferes with the Lutheran's religious freedoms.
first amendment right?? it says it there. i just kept reading up on thomas jefferson who i read somewhere was an agnostic which i liked but he kept saying god this jesus that so now my respect for him just totally went out the window.
Oh so you are admitting that the Separation Clause is in there? So are you taking back your words in claiming that "separation of Church & State doesn't exist in our Constitution"?
bitch im on your side wtf are you talking about. i agreed with you that church and state should be seperated and not only that but church should be abolished and deemed hazardous to our health.
That idiot Duncan Hunter probably though he was insulting the Swedes. He insulted himself and showed how much less intelligent he is than the Swedes.
It's not even a question of time and tradition. The Romans and Greeks had gays in the military. The Vikings had women and pretty much anyone would have no problem fighting alongside a black person a thousand years ago.
It's not progress to allow gays in the military, it's just common sense.
A girl from the Kansas Army National Guard unit was kicked out because somebody caught her kissing another girl. First of all, the Lesbian did NOT violate the DADT policy because she never told. Second the person who told on her NEVER asked her personally, to which the Lesbian NEVER said a word about her sexuality. This is whats wrong, you can basically blackmail anyone you know that is a homosexuals and get away with it. Plus, to avoid the military altogether almost anyone can lie of being gay.
"If our soldiers are actually soo fragile and unprofessional that an army major can make the argument that they will be unable to function if a gay person is around, then I think we have much greater problems that just this issue."
i understand what andrew means. but it doesnt have anything to do with people being ulgy. gays respect the fact that your straight and we expect you to respect us as being gay. i had to shower with guys in open bay showers and it never turned me on and i sure as hell never hit on anyone or stared at some guys junk. i think if everyone put there views aside and just did there job we wouldnt have an issue. i do believe though that the military shouldnt let flamming faggots in though. and im gay.
Andrew, it makes me uncomfortable when I get stares and whistles from random men when I'm buying groceries, minding my own business. Perhaps hetero men should be forced to stay in doors. Your argument is flawed.
It won't work because people like myself, who are straight and in the military will demand separate bathrooms, showers, rooms because my rights have to be respected as well. It makes me uncomfortable to shower in an open bay with a gay person. Deal with it
this what really gets to me y in the hell do we have to know that you are gay do you know that in the Military you have peoeple that are to Religion and that well beat you up or killl you thats what the the gay lift do not do not understand about this issue do anyone of you? tell me

The US is such a rotten country. Not only there's discrimination against homosexuals but on top of that homosexuals are forced by law to say there isn't. Gays in other countries have to deal with discrimination but at least they stand the chance to fight it face to face since they're not hyprocrites about it.
oh, one day, hopefully, DADT will be repealed and Gay and Lesbian Americans will serve their country. And the homophobes, like Elaine Donnally that want to keep them out would just wither away.

Friend, with all due respect, the U.S. Armed Forces weren't desegregated until 1948, under Harry S. Truman during the Korean Conflict.
