In the early to mid-80's, for me the message was anti-Thatcherite, loud and clear, now it just seems a celebration of hooliganism.
This does'nt mean I'm right ofcourse, it's just my perception, feel free to correct me.
From what I`ve heard of the newer stuff, I don`t think much of it either.There`s definately an element of truth to what you`re saying.
I only put the Keep The Faith picture up as I felt it went well with the theme of this song.
I take music on a very personal level and this song has a valid point and message in my opinion.
Take no shit, keep the chin up, and never let the bastards grind you down.
It`s certainly helped me through some shitty situations.
