Great video with a lot of information. When I am taking pictures the pictures are always overexposed. The setting in my camera menu shows the center meter in AEB towards the left i.e. before the -2 mark on the left side , how can I bring it to center.
@jonvideo It happens in all the modes except the Auto mode. I think it has to do with change in any setting within the camera, earlier the grid was placed perfectly . During my last click I changed the Flash exp component to +2ev and thought this is to do with the change but even after setting it to 0 the grid did not move.

This ruined my exposure composition for good. I set my camera (canon t1i) like this and instead of taking three diff. pictures, it took one hdr picture. I tried to get rid of thsi setting but whatever I do, it will not go away. I even brought my camera to Best Buy and they couldn't help me. Thanks a lot. Now I can't put my exposure composition up or down unless I shoot in a mode other than "m".
@7irz well i figured it out myself that, when u set the AB feature like above, use ur shooting mode to 'continous' and press and hold the shutter button until it takes 3 shots in diff. exposure.
Who cares how long the intro is! I'm thankful someone took their time to upload this video to teach us dummies about bracketing. I searched everywhere and I couldn't find any easy to follow tutorial until I found this one. This video is FREE, so if I have to sit and watch a 50 sec "commercial" so be it. I can't be believe how ungrateful people can be.
Not in auto mode. Tried Manual, Av, and Tv. Always goes back to 0. Ah ha finally got it to work. Still not sure what I was doing wrong. Thanks for the help. It's been a good day. Got this and my remote figured out.
I go through the steps, yet my camera is not taking the 3 photos. The AEB seem to reset to 0. What is the step after moving it to the -2 and +2. I've tried hitting the SET button, but that seems to put it back at 0. I've gone ahead and just taken a photo, but that didn't work either. I'm lost. Help.
Are you in auto mode? It may not work in auto mode. Let me know. You have to take the next pictures and they compensation will kick in in the next two you take.
@jonvideo I also tryed to take pictures after following your steps carefully but it doesn`t work, What I`m doing wrong? Shoudl I press 3 times the shutter? Or the camera will shoot automatically the three pics? It only tak 1 image. Please comment. (I`m on manual)
Whoa! What a great demo of how to not to intro and exit an instructional clip! Did I miss something somewhere in the middle? People won't come back a second time.
Exactly, I totally agree, I hope people don't come back to this a second time after our major goof- . Good news though, We are sending out $5 to those who request it and did not read the opening block of text we put up there. Let me know and we can send you the five dollars. This is what we feel is proper for your time ill spent. Our apologies again.
We are limiting the amount of people who can subscribe and the only way to do this legally is to scare people off with dumb music. Sorry but we have to do it. It was the only way, please forgive me.
Great vid taught me exactly what i need to know but one thing may be obvius to some that i thought i should point out is the camera also needs to be in continuous shooting mode not just single frame
You use the left and right buttons of the four way controller and that will change the stop value range for your bracketing. Its taking what it thinks is the right exposure and a stop or so up over and under. *you can choose in the menu, how much you want those 2 other pictures -over and under exposed.
helpful video, thank you. Could I suggest that next time you post you cut back on the advertising? I think I saw about 30s-1m's worth of useful info and the rest was just advertising (which is ok but not THAT much).
Good suggestion, Read the above comments fro more detail on the matter, I agree- but I can change it now, I changed my others since, but if you want 50% off the videos for your time, Id be happy to give you that for my mistake. Sorry.
That comment made my day. We live in a cynical world. You tube comments have become a way to make one feel better by putting others down. For you to say something nice (however unpopular it may make you here) is so rare in the youtube comments world. Thank you - John
I agree there is more intro than content. I made a mistake, youtube wont let you go back and change the video. I am thinking of using the youtube annotations over the intro to teach things so check back. If you have been really bothered let me know. The first few people who were annoyed by this, please email me on this and I will get you the training videos at whatever price you tell me (free is ok too) with free shipping. (USA only) . I feel bad and want to make this up to people.
After you have set the AEB to your liking, the option is now on. You have to press the shutter release button three times to get each of the exposures, the camera does not capture all three with one press of the shutter release. I hope this helped...
...probly kinda late... but you have to set the camera to Continuous Capture mode as well, and hold down the shutter, it will automatically take 3 shots with different exposure levels. (faster slower shutter speeds... or w/e)
Like all (semi) professional cameras, it has a BULB mode, so you can expose infinitely if you want. The listed exposure times (e.g. 30s max) are simply the maximum exposure time without you interfering.

Does this happen in the P mode? what about in the Tv or aperture priority mode? I am trying to see if it happens in one more or all the modes.

@elizaul1 same problem! Did you figure it out yet?
7irz 8 months ago
@tontogreengo I am having the same exact problem. I select AEB, use the arrows to select the 'range' and then hit set again.
It only takes the normal photo, no under or over..
My undertstanding is that that AEB menu does not even display in auto mode so I am just as confused as to why it is not working.

autobracketing is very useful in creating hdr photography.
sad fact is that it takes only 3 pictures at once.
is there a trick to make the number of them higher?

Yes you can, just let us know and I can refund your money :)
or give you a discount of 50% on the training videos. (good for July only). Just let me know. Sorry about that.

geodiscobowl 3 years ago 6
Mine doesn't do this, after setting the AEB option it still just takes one picture.
Maybe you should have removed some off the terribly long intro and outro to actually provide a step by step guide.
The regular manual even has more info on this subject than this video.
