Loved it! I had never heard this saying before, though. On your accent: not nasal enough...speak through your naso-pharinx (sp?) rather than your open mouth. Also too much inflection in the words (too sing-song); a flat uninterested tone is what you're aiming for! Found you via ROTT of course!
