Internet bandwidth is not measured in hertz. Hartley's law says that link speed is proportional to the frequency, but they are not equal. It is actually measured in bits per second. For example, "1 Gbps" means "1 Gigabit per second". This is a much more practical measurement. Measuring it in hertz would be almost like measuring the speed of a car in inches per year, where you'd have to do a lot of unnecessary converting.

Well, I don't really upload much with bittorrent. I usually just dl what I need install and then delete the data. Since the computer I'm using isn't really mine and the firewall is password protected I can't change the download/upload speed on bittorent, so what could take a few minutes instead takes an hour or more.
