  • We know who is on the keys, man sitting here listening to this brings back fond memories of Glenn, uncle Gary Shider and all the rest of my P/Funk family. God Bless all the fans that has supported my extended P/Funk family. Remember without you there is no us !!! One Nation forever. LOVE YOU ALL

  • For years, I've loved hearing this song played at 45 revolutions per minute rather than the 33 rpms required for a 12-inch record. It is so much cooler, funnier, and funkier that way!

  • I can see how this influenced some of Prince's early ballads like "Still Waiting".

  • Boots plays the drums all over this baby!

  • that's Boogie on bass

  • i had this album on 8 track bacc in the day

  • clazzic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg

  • dam that sax solo is one of the best i have ever heard,,, dam! dam! dam!

  • Do They even Make Music Guitars Any More.?I have not seen one since 1980.Not even any body Playing one of them.

  • @beachbootybum1 ..They Still Make'em.But it's hars to find someone who want to take the time to learn to play one.

  • I reiterate.....It's most definitely Bootsy Collins playing the bass on this track. LISTEN TO IT! That is not Cordell Mosson's style of playing. No one else played bass that way back then except Bootsy.

  • @meljr most Certainl Bootsy.Although He's Credited as playin' Drums.

  • @beachbootybum1 Hey Jack,Wat U Kno'Bout dat thang.

  • Don't believe everything you read, as far as the album credits. Close your eyes when you hear this and picture Bootsy playing. Anyone who has followed his work will all agree, it's Definately Bootsy Baba!

  • Beautiful bass @ 3:26.

  • George Clinton said that sometimes different people were given credit on the records, to avoid contract stipulations between the two groups Parliament, and Funkadelic. Also, sometimes, the people who played on the road were given credit on the records.

  • i just want to go back in this time forjust a little while

  • boogie did'nt play nothing on this album the bassist was bootsy those are bootsy's licks skeet's not on this album.

  • OMG I WANT TO THANK U FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR POSTING THIS...IM SHEDDING TEARS RIGHT NOW

  • Great song. Better tribute!!!!

  • Love the way Bootsy'a funkin' with that bass.

  • I luv this song. especially the solo and then 3:18 is awesome. I thought the song ended similar to this also. Am i mistaken? or is this a slightly different version?

  • A small, fuzzy-headed brown boy listened to this song in the mid-70s and decided right then and there he was going into finance. This song literally changed my life. I still get chills every time I listen to it.

  • The vocal harmonies are tight.

  • How cool I found a song that has the same name as my website

  • Love the way they go back to 60s bass, very southern, but then they started out in the 60s.

  • It's doo-wop, parliament started out as a doo-wop band back in the 60's, so they basically were going back to their roots on this track.

  • this is some super funkadelic pimp shit for your head baby ya'll cant funk with funkadelic these are my boy's right here funk the what you heard

  • They were tryin to teach me about the stock market back then, but I was more interested in smokin' weed.

  • classic shit one of my favorite p-funk joints this shit is so underrated it's criminal ever funkin on ya'll

  • Copyright law my arse. Most people would flock to buy the album after hearing it on youtube. How do these clowns sleep at night?

  • "Nerd alert" for all of those people who like any trivia related to Parliament. The original album logos from the 70s and early 80s were yellow, pink, and blue. If you have one with a yellow, black and blue logo, then its definitely a reissue.

  • Bootsy is definitely the bassist on this record.

  • Nope.

Only on this track (Skeet Curtis, although

I have also seen Cordell Mosson,

    not Bootsy, either way:)

    & "Placebo Syndrome" (Billy Bass),

    on this record.

    I thought Bootsy was actuuly

    playing drums on this one,

but cannot confirm who it is!

    :@)

  • Dude, I'm telling you now. That is Boot-Mon up and down. And since he confirmed this himself, I'm not going to disagree.

  • Dude, I know what you're doing. I think that you are reading the album credits literally. Those album credits only serve to identify the current touring entourage, not necessarily who plays on the record.

  • @Timmyfunk1 that might be true but back then neither you or i knew that, we went by what we read and we read those albums faithfully and with great expectation

  • @djmoon2069 Cordell Mosson was the bass player and i was pleasantly surprised. bootsy actually didn't contribute much to this album bass wise... i believe he was busy getting his rubber band together from what i have read.

  • @djmoon2069 ..with multi-track recording it would not be hard for Bootsy to play and Drums.

  • @djmoon2069-Nah, dude. Bootsy is the premiere bassist on this particular record. The credits on the Funkentelechy album serve to identify the then current touring entourage, not necessarily who plays on the album.

  • @djmoon2069 on drums if I can remember correctly is either Jerome Big Foot Bailey, or Tyrone Lampkin

  • @Timmyfunk1 I concur!

  • Was probably good at one time...

  • Copyright, eh...

    Well, a moment of "silence"

    for when the music industry

    USED TO BE cool....

    :@\

  • yes i had over 10,000 views of Funkentelechy on the funkentelechy vs. the placebo syndrome and UMB or WMG did the copyright thing, I hate it!!!Makes me mad at the music industry!!
