  • You people have no clue what country you reside in, you only know that the area of land you roam in offers an uninhibited amount of unhindered freedom that in the back of your mind you know is not offered anywhere else in the world...

  • run my finga down the crack a that ass

  • So as much as I get the sentiment, the passion of this speech and the performance by Marisa Tomei...I find the brutality against George W. Bush Jr. is too much. I don't think it's quite fair to say he doesn't care. Because honestly there are troops who are dying and we all...WE ALL move on with our life despite reports of thousands dying a month. Yes, I understand how people don't like war...but to put everything on one person that it's their fault is too much...I blame government in general

  • lol wouldn't it just have made sense to have sheehan herself read it

  • so she reads a statement by a shrill whore who uses her dead son as a soapbox? her son

  • @hint0122 I find it physically nauseating that Zinn is putting some dumb petty bourgeois moralist bitch up there with the likes of Frederick Douglass and martyred Labor Heroes.Even though per Sheehan's own suicidal mentally defective philosophy the unionists and the abolitionists were all warmongers and evil aggresors.Dumb bitch.

  • Great text. God Bless Howard Zinn for putting this together.

  • I think I fell in love with Marisa Tomei once again

  • The speech she is reading from is actually from the VFP 2005 (not 04) conference--she came to Crawford directly following.

  • shes good but shees maybe a little bit.

you know too much, how shes talking its to much...

    but shes verry beatifull.

    ilove marisa <333

    shes só fucking hot !

  • 9 stars because she didnt raise her left fist arm whatever.

  • i love her

  • Very effortless and effective delivery by the lovely and talented Ms. Tomei. And at times, startling. But that's good. In fact, it is excellent.

  • Marisa is one of the most under-rated actress of our time! Even when she won her oscar, people questioned if the wrong name was read out! :( she's sensational! The ease and depth with which she engages with her characters is incredible! Really hope she begins to get the recognition she deserves!

  • Where is this?

  • my tears dropped--

thats what a real actor should do,support the peace and make people better persons not just only get rich through the hollywood crap machinery

    btw

    i see hope too

  • peace is a myth

  • @hint0122 Myth and mystery, are the essence of culture

  • so is war. there will never be peace.

  • @hint0122 you're booring me the way too much, good luck cowboy

  • you should go to whatever school you went to and get your money back, since they failed hard on teaching you.

  • She's just amazing...

One of her best performances, if it can be called that in this case.

  • 20 stars ******************** for me

  • Marisa can do serious. This is real emotion, great reading Marisa.

  • Fantastic speech / reading.

  • 10 stars **********

  • powerful delivery,.great actress!! you go girl!!

  • This is my favorite reading of this text. She's studied it enough to make the phrasing convincing, but it still sounds spontaneous and from the heart. A great, riveting performance, helped by the great audience response.
