can sprum go through 2 paris ofunder wear && 2 paris of jean!?!?!?!

cuz im 18 and i went to a dance && idanced WITH A GUY..and tht was over a month && SICEN THEN I HAVE MISSED MY PRIEOD!!!

    HHEELLPPP PLZZ

  • I was induced and it was a breeze. I was hooked up with an epidural and I was very comfortable. I highly recommend!

  • I think it is funny that she says in the beginning that is were she had at least 3 kids that she could remember ..... it makes me wonder does she have kids as a hobby and cant remember much from giving birth?

  • @littlespottedgecko I completely agree with you :) i'm 25 weeks pregnant with my first child and hoping that the gas will get me through. I think we are stronger than we think. My sis is an ob/gyn and she told the story of a woman coming in demanding an epidural, they gave her a saline drip and when they came to give her her epi she looked confused, pointed to the drip and said "but i have epidural". she never needed the epi - gotta love the placebo effect!

  • at 39 weeks and 2 days, I am ready to give birth. I have been having contractions (strong but not progressive) for a week and half now. baby is head down, I lost my mucus plug, and I am dilated to 2 and 70% effaced....but it has been like this for 3 weeks now. :( lol been to the hospital 3 times.....im ready for this stuff to be over with :P

  • don't be fooled, pitocin without an epidural HURTS WORST! If ur going natural don't get pitocin. it sux

  • i'm not pushin my baby girl out without my epidural lol NO THANK YOU! If you want a natural birth, great. good for you. But theres no way in hell i'm getting on that train.

  • Because sme people don't like pain...

  • natural labour contractions and pitocin contractions not the same thing. ladies for great information about different means of labour. Natural. water. induces. and csection. watch the movie. "the business of being born" my and my boyfriend watched it together and it was open to all possibilities/ and great birth stories and live video

  • My mom didn't know she was in labor, she went into the hospital to get her feet checked since they were hurting. then she asked if they could get the baby out now. turned out she was in labor.

  • a happy process....................

  • with my second daughter, i was induced with pitocin and it hurt 1000 times worse than my first, who i went all natural with. so when he said being induced doesn't hurt anymore than going into labour naturally, i'm sorry but that isn't true at all, not in my case anyway.

  • Tell that to theese dipwits giveing birth at home, completely naked in front of their kids!

  • stupid advertisments :P

  • I didn't know I was in labor with the 1st. not in any pain and barely uncomfortable but i'd lost my plug and went in to the doc and was 95% effaced and at a 7. had baby that night.

  • I'm wk40+1 now... Still not in labor and is miserable sitting at home waiting for my little one to arrive. Doc has scheduled me for induction next Sunday if nothing happens before then. But this video truly made my day - very informative and a great sense of humor! Thank you!!!!!!!

  • @carq1108 Im 41weeks and 3 days!!! I was to get induced today but I told them I didn't want to. It all starts with a miscalculations from my 1st ultrasound so Im relying more on my last mentrual cycle which puts me at 40wk and 1 day. I believe that your body knows what to do and if everything is fine with the baby and you're healthy then give the baby and your body the opportunity to do its own thing. Im getting monitored almost everyday if necessary ultrasound are performed and baby is ok.

  • I'm 22 wks pregnant with my 2nd baby now and I had an induced labor with my 1st baby at 39 wks and I have to say I was blessed because it went really well. I was already 3 cm when I went in and I'm not saying it wasn't painful b/c it was but I got an epidural but refused pain meds such as demoral for my own reasons. I'm looking forward to going into labor on my own this time though a little nervous but excited also :)

  • I'm 37 and a half weeks and I am ready for this to be over with!

  • @MsJanaemarie I am right at 38 weeks and I hear you. My hubby never hears the end of it that I want baby out now. I have done everything from walking to squats to try and get myself to dilate more. Ive been almost 4 cm dilated for almost 3 weeks now...anyway you prolly have given birth already congratulations and hope everything went well for you

  • @Kabgirl24 when I went in for my last appointment at 40 weeks. The day before my due date which was a Friday. My daughter was due Saturday but I had her on Sunday. Doctor told me I was NOT dilated at all. But that Saturday I started to get Braxton Hicks, or some cramps. Later on that night! Those turned into full blown CONTRACTIONS. They were regular and so close together I could time them. By the time I got to the hospital. The nursing staff or doctors told me I was 8 cm dilated.

  • She got that Superman chin. SUPER CHIN!!!!!

  • i'm so distracted by the shape of this lady's face/big chin..

  • crock of shit

  • my friend had gotten induced and she had her baby in four hours and she only took stadol and she said that t wasent that bad and now she is pregnant with her second and im with my first but im not worried about it you guys seem to think that your way is bst but its like from the very beggining every person is differnt and will react differetly to everything so some of you guys may had it bad with pitosin and some didnt you cant just assume if it didnt work for me it wont work for you

  • (continued) I have ten children and have had one of everything- the last 6 all natural due to bad experience with an epi. Walk, move, shower, one good coach( not necessarily your husband!) ask for oxygen during pushing if you're lightheaded or tend to faint. W/out epi pushing is spontaneous. Most of all have faith in the amazing design of your body. Babies are worth every minute. God bless

  • I don't disagree that epis should remain an option. Especially with the first baby you're taken by surprise, you shouldn't be ashamed of needing help. BUT what makes pain unbearable is immobility. Moving with contractions and ESP the SHOWER during works wonders. And inductions are NOT the same. They're much more intense and can be almost violent unless your dr gives pit very gradually. But once you're on an iv( pit) you are usually confined to your bed making an epi. almost essential. I have t

  • this was really helpful, but no matter how much stuff i see and hear on birth and contractions, i just can't shake that feeling that I don't know what I'm doing. Everybody says 'don't worry, you'll know they're contractions when you get them', but i never had them before so how will i possibly know?

  • @BMBAbaby I know how you feel. All the coaching in the world can only prepare you so much. I am 38 weeks and worried that any moment my water will break and me not realize that it is my water or that my contractions are not the real thing (I had a wonderful episode of it 3 weeks ago). First kid and I dont like not knowing what to expect.

  • @Kabgirl24 Well Justin is now almost 4 months and is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. He was 12 days late though. It is true that nothing can prepare you for the birth, or the endless wait before the birth, but for me, I knew when my waters broke. Justin had pooed inside, so the water was green, and I knew what it was. To be perfectly honest, with Justin being my first baby as well, the thing I really wish you could prepare for is the baby blues afterwards.

  • The birth was fine, but after the initial overwhelming joy had worn off, I seriously wished we had bought a dog instead, no joke. After a few days and sleepless nights, my sister came to my house, and we were laughing and joking like the good old days, and then I realised I was still the old me too, and I wasn't just a mummy, so if when you finally do have your little one, you are feeling a bit down, do something that reminds you of before baby was born. Good luck! Everything will be fine.

  • my friend had a baby and she was like i am going to have it all natural untill she arrived at the doctors then she was glad to have the all the pain shots they give prego people and she said that the pain of the contractions takes the pain of your shots : )

  • I look forward to my labor pains because it means my baby is going to be with me very very soon.

  • No matter what this doctor says, epidural and induction are not good. Natural is the best. Our bodies know what to do.

  • giving birth does not scare me at all in fact i cannot wait! an epidural on the other hand scaes the shit out of me and is the last thing i want! x

  • If you want to get birth advice from a woman rather than a man, hire a midwife and a doula. They are the only ones both understand, and have no ulterior motives.

  • @trailblazingdiva DONT BE SO SILLY

  • its funny how its always a male doctor who seems to be explaining things in regards to labour lol its not like he knows what it feels like to explain what it is or how to know what your feeling?? and the woman "where i had at least three kids that i can remember" LOL did u forget how many children u have?? ur not that old haha i just found this funny.. i want a video from a womans perspective on explaining what 'contractions' feel like.. not a man what would he know?!!

  • I'm so sick of seeing men give advice on pregnancy. Dude, you don't know what I feel!

  • Get the epidural BEFORE they induce labor! Oh, and inducing labor forces the baby's head against the cervix and depending on how soft the cervix is, it can harm the baby's head and cause brain injury. Just FYI

  • @ReviewCam which is why any good doctor should perform an ultrasound prior to induction. i think all of them normally do.

  • I have to disagree with ONE thing - an induced labor (i.e. pitocin or synthetic drugs or just spurring on labor before your body is ready for it) is BY FAR more painful and more difficult than a labor brought on naturally. Induced labor can lead to emergency c-sections and fetal distress or just prolonged, tiresome, miserable hours if your baby is not quite ready to some out.

If you want to bring on labor, girls, your best bet is to walk, exercise, have a little bit of sex, and relax :)

  • @TheLadyShred RIGHT!!!! I've never had a baby but my mother always talked about how much more painful it was for her in labor with me because it was induced with pitocin. At the time, they taped her arm to a board so she couldn't pull the IV out.

Okay, that was in 1961, but the pain of induced labor is the same

  • Do not listen, pitocin makes for HORRIBLE worse contractions! And it can have major side effects on you and especially for your baby!! Of course this quack is going to tell you that unducing and epi's are great but don't do it, if you do you will feel more out of control and your labor will be hell! Don't be afraid of the pain its only for a short time, its necassary and its pain with a purpose every contraction is bringing your baby closer to being born!! Deep breathing and time will get u thru

  • Don't you think there's a biological/evolutionary reason for why women feel pain during childbirth? It's part of the process. Without the pain, there is more chance of tearing b/c you can't feel what's going on down there.

  • @creosotegirl

Your comment makes no sense. Have you even had a child? With or without pain, there is always a chance your shit's gonna tear.

  • @TheAnimadey There is less of a chance when you can feel what's going on, because then you can tell when you're pushing too hard and back off a little bit to ease the pressure a bit.

  • @creosotegirl if the baby's coming out and it's big or coming out too fast, you'll tear regardless of the level of pain you're in

  • i've had at least three kids that i can remember.... uh, does she not remember like the 4th or 5th? hahahah

  • There are so many things wrong with this clip. I was excited at the beginning of the clip there was some good info then Dr. Dummies says all kinds of crazy stuff! I showed a room full of birth professionals, including OBGYNs and they couldn't believe he said a lot of that. What a bummer that 70,000 + plus people have seen this. :(

  • @genamom i hate this "doctor". i wonder if he's really a doctor and what kind of doctor. i've seen him in a couple other clips of howdini and he sounds like he's just reading stuff out of a book but doesn't fully understand it and he's not too educated.

  • I'll have to disagree with them on epidural, it's not a good thing for you or the baby so avoid it if you can.

  • @amnah10000 I agree 100%

  • i hate it when a man speaks of these things. he can only go by the book, he can never go by what a woman feels.

and it shits me that when you have a male doc/gynae and you mentions a symptom that doesn't make sense to them so they then dismiss it and say it must be something else or that it's all in your head. (mainly speaking of non pregnancy gynae conditions in my last paragraph!)

  • @AlmaLuna1

Uhm....sorry, but it doesn't matter if it's a man or a woman speaking about it, because even if it is a woman, not all women's bodies and not all pregnancies are the same.

  • I don't even know how women have female ob/gyns. I wouldn't want a woman touching me like that. lol

This DR is b.s. though...never trust anyone who makes more money if you have a drugged labor...remember the hospitals are trying to SELL you an epidural. Don't believe me...ask them if you can have one "gratis" and they'll help you have a natural birth! lol

  • GREAT VIDEO!

  • Spoken like a man who's never going to experience the joy of birth! Most Medical Doctors prefer epidurals bc it's easier for them. Explore your options ladies! Check out the movie,"The Business of Being Born"....Medical interventions lead to too many C-sections. Our country is out of control!

  • i have a pit birth and a non pit birth.. And a birth on pit is WAY more painful.......

  • @ardvarke2 what's on pit?

  • @AlmaLuna1, pitocin is a labor inducer

  • @ardvarke2 ahh of course. not good with the abbreviations ;)

  • hmmm.... I got to the hospital at 1230pm. I was 10 centimetres dilated. He came at 1:30pm.I was not allowed to have any form of medicine and I felt just fine... still painful, but in the long run it is better for the baby. I did not even know I was in labour.

  • Lmao "@ 36 wks they'll start doing internal exams to check your cervix"... I'm 38 1/2wks and they keep telling me there's no need to check for dilation yet!

  • I love the way he talks so casually about induced labour- "then you get your epidural and its just a normal labour"....WHAT?!!?? How is fucking around with a womans natural cycle of birth in any way with drugs normal? have these people never seen a birth without drugs...jesus christ bannanas!

  • Im not against male gynos but i agree that how can they know what what feels like for women, I just know I will do anything not to have a male doctor on my delivery day, 2 reasons: Female go through labor so i trust them more on the topic, and 2nd I believe that like 90% of guys are perverts...even if they are stand up guys, like the guy above seems to be, I just dont trust any guy besides my own. How can he write a book called preg for dummys..kinda messed up

but thanks for the useful info.

  • i completely agreewith you! i am doing the same thing not to have a male doctor..lol. im 8 weeks and my next visit is with a male doctor, but i just have to "talk" with him but i think i may switch or something cuz there are 3 guy doctors there ..

  • i lucked out b/c my doctor was on call when i went into delivery..but she was honestly only there for the last 5mins..otherwise it was one of the delivery nurses..only 7 hours of labor, went smoothly but i did have the h1n1 flu. 1st preg. woman to go have a baby at innovis in fargo,nd with the h1n1..I didnt get to hold my Jadakis Lucille until the day i went home.she's perfect tho. Good luck with picking a doctor, just choose who u like best! and Good luck on having your baby!

  • @kdoggin42 2nd I believe that like 90% of guys are perverts..........

    Don't have kids! THANKS!

  • Thanks!

  • I had pitocin with my first baby and it was hell! I had a hot tub and no drugs with my 3rd baby and it was so much better.

  • i have years to go.. and i want alot of kids lol... it just sucks that i'll have to go through it naturally cuz i hate needles. lol

  • he took part in the book with his partner the book called pregnancy for dummy's he knows what hes talking about

  • Is anyone else disturbed that a woman is asking a man about labor? How the hell does he know the difference in labor & induced labor???????/ It's not like his ass has ever experienced either. Gross

  • I dont think its odd for a woman to ask a man about labour. This guy knows what he's talking about. There are many male gynaecologists!!!! I dont understand why you find it disturbing. I'm pregnant at the moment and I would ask the same questions to any doctor, only thing is my gynaecologist is female.. whats the difference as long as you get answers?? For you info, my 1st child was delivered by a male doctor an expert in labour and delivery!!!

  • I didn't comment on the knowledge or ability of a man to be a gyno, but I do question his ability to know what contractions feel like. I can't tell you what kidney stones feel like, because I've never had them.

I can tell you what causes them, how to treat them, how to avoid them maybe, given I did the research. I just can't give you an informed word on what they feel like. Now, you can reread my first comment and comprehend it as what it is opposed to what you want it to be.

  • i was thinking the same thing! haha!

  • @Nonira123 I agree with you, my OB/GYN is a man and he's very knowledgeable and understanding. I'm very pleased with my care and feel like I can ask him anything.

  • why NO closed captioned in here video

  • Please do your research about the risks of epidural and pitocin!! They are NOT as safe as these people pain them. PLEASE don't accept them just because everybody else is!

  • epidural needles scare the living daylights outta me

  • ik but i'm glad i don't need to worry about that for YEARS

  • @Goody2Shoz i dnt think that u will worry about it after u feel the pain

  • @Goody2Shoz well i hate needles and im a male and had 3 already cause i messed my back up. now imagine that

  • @Goody2Shoz are they big and painful?? im 7 months prego and wud like to kno!

  • This was very helpful

    thank u

  • Pitocin is used as a LAST resort, it can make the contractions much stronger and more painful. It is only used when the mother has stalled diallation.

  • Irrelevant. That's not the only reason why a doctor would administer pitocin to an expectant mother. When my friend was one week late and she went to see her doctor, he did an amnio on her, and noticed that the amniotic fluid was pretty low, which can put the baby's life in jeopardy if it's kept in the womb for too long. As a result, the doctor thought it would be best to induce her labor. Thirteen hours later, she had a healthy baby boy. :)
