  • @alexiasccc All things in moderation, I always say. Butter actually has a good amount of vitamin A, E and K and contains fat which is essential for children...just not too much :-)

  • Hey I just made a badass omelette, thanks for the video, my girlfriend's gonna be quite impressed. (P.s. Who has possibly disliked this video? The internet is a bunch of psychopaths.)

  • I must be preparing a southern version of the omelette. I was taught to seperate the egg, beat the whites to a soft peak and then fold in the yolk. Of course, butter is added to the pan, although I use clalrified butter or ghee. I spread the egg mixture into the pan, add the toppings to the entire surface, place in the oven just to firm up the top and then fold onto the plate.

  • Thank you! i will try it right now. Specially the last part... since i always mess it up trying to fold it while cooking.

  • @RowenaWinter It does take a little bit of practice to get an omelette just right. Let us know how it turns out.

  • @RecipeCook Let's just say... it didn't turn out the way I expected.. but I will try it again soon :)

  • Thank you for teaching us your way of cooking omelet :)

  • bout to try this out

  • @HighnessBC951 How did your omelette work out?

  • @RecipeCook pretty good, thx. good vid

  • Why are there 82 dislikes???

  • The upper part is uncooked?

  • @PeturDarri Did you have a comment?

  • you should touch the hot skillet with your hand?? uh, what? and butter is a healthy ingredient?? uh, what?

  • @youcandance12345 butter is healthier to use than oil.

  • very helpful. Also if you have time, can you tell me other really healthy foods. My family and I need to start eating healthy. Thanks

  • I just made one...i think mine was a little under cooked but it was great thanks..just what i was looking for!

  • I always thought u had to turn it over to make sure the other side wasnt runny?

  • lol people fighting even on cooking vids= Priceless

honestly people arguing on youtube is so pointless like you really are gonna get your point across grow up and enjoy the video

  • Sorry baby but this is not a perfect omelet

  • Hey there! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (google it)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my mate lost a ton of weight with it.

  • "erbs"

Yes, cook the bacon first - tomatoes would work OK, just make sure to dice them up fairly fine.

    Rita

  • @RHeikenfeld Thanks and i tried making it and i made scrambled eggs lmao. Maybe cooked too quickly

  • Sounds good and great tips ha I'm going to have to add some bacon. I should cook the bacon first then add it in later right? And do you think tomatoes will work with this recipe as well? Peppers aren't my cup of tea :) TY for the post

  • *erbs* 2:57

  • Thumbs up if you saw 1:20

  • thank you

  • Very nice!

  • Glad it worked for you.

  • I'm at home sick and completely alone. All of my omelette attempts end up as a fail. You did a great job of showing how to create the perfect omelette and it's easy! Thank you!

  • Your way sounds great, too!

    Rita

  • This is probably the closest to one of the best prepared omlettes on youtube. Although, instead, I have my skillet alittle higher and I somewhat scramble my eggs right before they get too cooked so it cooks evenly. This way is good too. Not as much trouble. Lol

  • yeah butters real healthy, your so smart :)

  • @PinkCupcake125

    "your" so smart? LOL

  • @ChrisDan915 sorry about that // you're***// BETTER?

  • @PinkCupcake125

Uh yeah! I'm better than that. I am smart enough not to say ''your so smart" while misspelling you're.

  • @PinkCupcake125

    Yes. Spelling correctly is smart.

  • @ChrisDan915 , go home

  • Let me know how you like it.

  • It looks good, I'm going to take your advice and add water instead of milk. thanks

  • Sounds pretty good to me.

  • I'm putting pepperonis and pizza cheese in mine... probably not healthy but yum.

  • im a trainiee chef and always been taught to cook omelette "al dente" basically still abit runny, its how poeple judge the quality of chefs in many places..

  • Butter = Healthy ;]

  • To those who's concerned about the usage of butter... The 70ies want their pseudo-science back.

  • i like mine a little more burnt, it brings the flavor

  • butter isnt really that healthy... but its your opinoin on it :)

lol i had a different tought of making one x3 i was going to like put red peppers like little pieces and some more small pieces of food thingies like basil and onions :3 but like not to much lol and maybe i should add some cheese :) lol and butter... i ussed butter on my grilled cheeze sandwishes :33 it gave it a golden brown and it tasted eppiiccc <3333 :3 lol

  • lol when u say butter is a healthy dairy ingredient, I started to laugh. Butter is unhealthy and is fat..

  • wth??? butter isnt really that healthy you can get a heart attack if u get to much, lady if u eat to much butter u better start cutting down!

  • @devilfairy321 not really. Its just cause most people consume retarded amounts of it. Any thing in that excuess will kill you. so dont give me that shit.

  • @devilfairy321 lol thats only if you have high cholesterol, everyone needs cholesterol though. Butter has a lot of vitamins and cancer/tumor fighting components. If you have high cholesterol then it can lead to heart disease, that is only time you would need to cut down on butter. Margarine is terrible for you though.

  • @YourLoveLetter aaahh i c, thanx for the info

  • butter is healty?

  • Omg im finding the omelette where they cook like smal pieaces hotdog/spam in there omelette because when i cook my omelette the hotdog/spam is still uncook ):

  • Just put your palm right he-- AHHHHHHHHHH!!

  • butter is not healthy.

  • @syaoranpies what to use instead?

  • @ConstipatedTroll olive oil

  • @syaoranpies thank you for replying,i'm going to try that out :)

  • Looks like candy x3

  • Haha butter isn't 'healthy'.

  • Best omelette is : 3 eggs, sliced into cubes chicken breast, tomatos, cheese, onions, mushrooms, and garnish.

cook chicken breast for around 30seconds to get it white, then drop your onions and mushrooms, cook it all together for 1minute, pour in your eggs, and add sliced tomatos on top, close it with a lid, put your heat on the lowest settings, wait for 1minutes, the omelette will fluff up, add your cheese close the lid again until melted and serve ITS DELICIOUS!

  • I know about the residual heat aspect of eggs, but I tend to think that this method will leave the inside a little under-done. Also, it seem like those peppers will still be room temp when it's served.

  • @TrippleLee LOL Room temp veggies are a problem? They are inside of cooked eggs.

  • Thanks for video.. nothing wromg with butter. Has taken a lot of bad press along with dripping. The body can digest animal fats. Can't digest vege oils etc. Also oils are very unstable at high temps.

  • how'd you make the kabob?

  • looks raw on the top :s

  • Butter contains lot's of bad fats while oil contains mostly healthy fats

  • i love butter because it's healthy?

    wat

  • @strontXvlieg It is healthy....just not too much. Its a dairy product, and your supposed to consume atleast 3 servings of dairy on the daily

  • @strontXvlieg Yes butter is healthy :) Vitamines A and D

  • @strontXvlieg Yeah butter is healthy? This lady just lost alllll credibility.

  • @AetheraSora Butter is a healthy source of fat in moderation. You lost all credibility.

  • @MrCorndogEater Yeah because that was a moderate amount of butter. STFU and read a book.

  • @AetheraSora Yeah actually I'd expect someone who eats corn dogs to know shit about health. lol

  • @AetheraSora Chances are I've read more than you buddy

Butter in moderation is good for you, the body needs essential fatty acids.

  • @MrCorndogEater You read SO WELL that you just happened to miss the fact that I said that was not a moderate amount of butter. IE it's an EXCESS OF BUTTER AND THUS UNHEALTHY. It's called portion size you dunce.

You can read comic books all you like, you obviously don't possess the minimum amount of intellect required to comprehend my point let alone address any fallacies in any other points.

Like I said, STFU, you can read tons but my years of university probably trumps Lord of the Rings.

  • @AetheraSora I wasn't the one who brought up the subject of reading; that was all you, my friend. I was saying that that amount of butter, used to cook your omelette with, is perfectly fine in moderation. By moderation I mean an omelette every week or so, maybe more, with a healthy overall diet in between and plenty of exercise.

  • @AetheraSora

I also brought up the fact that fat is good for the body if not overused, but you don't seem to want to accept that and I can't make you accept it. I never went to university, that's my own personal failure, not really any of your business. Thank you for telling me about your university success any way, it was a pleasure reading! There is a lot to say about a person who needs to bring up their academic accomplishments on a video about cooking omelettes.

  • @MrCorndogEater If you don't want to hear about it you should once against STFU, not start with people with your little attitude in the first place, and probably not bring your own mediocre credibility into the situation either. K? Buh bye.

  • @AetheraSora It's funny you mention me bringing my "credibility" into it, I wasn't bringing any credibility into it

I actually said that I never went to university so I don't deserve creditibility, but this is just common sense really.

By the way, your university education should have told you not to use stupid abbreviations like STFU

    "...once against..."

    "...K..."

    funny stuff.

  • @AetheraSora Wait let me poke a fork in you and see if you're done. Yeah now to serve you.

  • @MrCorndogEater How many replies do you intend to make. Stop filling up my inbox with your idiocy. Abbreviations are stupid? Do you even know what the word stupid actually means? It's very obvious why you haven't gone to university. L.O.L. And really moron. Your credibility would be you telling me that you've read more than me. Do you have even the slightest ability to comprehend simple conversation? Wow. You can talk typing errors but the fact that you can't even UNDERSTAND me, says it all

  • @AetheraSora haha

read what you just typed, stupid fucking nonsense

I'm done here, i've wasted enough time

  • @MrCorndogEater IE "I've been made a fool of and am slinking away like the loser I am." Perhaps you should second guess who you're attempting to outwit. Good luck with your failure of a life even though I'm not sure what a person who can't even mange to go to university who obviously needs it could manage. There's always the lottery. XD

  • @AetheraSora For starters that's not a direct quote, which surprises because your grammer has been perfect thus far.

I might not be a success in life and I may end up homeless, but i'll always have the comfort of knowing that education obviously doesn't count for anything, after meeting you.

So thanks for that! Have a nice successful life...

  • @MrCorndogEater Education doesn't count for anything but you're such an idiot that you have to point out it's not a direct quote? No shit you dribbling fool. It's called MAKING FUN OF YOU. Omg this dude rides the short bus. That's not even funny it's just pathetic. Go eat your corndogs and don't forget your helmet. Also, GO AWAY ALREADY. Your obliviousness upsets my life.

  • @AetheraSora I knew that it was meant as a joke, I was just pointing out that quotations should only be used for quotes. And you call me a dribbling idiot.

Anyway, i don't want to diminish any more of my self respect, so bye bye and no more messaging, oh what the hell? I'll let you give me one more cheap shot, to make you feel better.

  • @MrCorndogEater Wow you're an idiot. So I guess in all those books you've read all the quotations around those words from fictitious characters were actual quotes! And since it IS a joke the joke would have been that you were essentially saying that...meaning that it's not incorrect IF ITS OBVIOUSLY A JOKE. It's a joke quote, get it? No you don't, obviously. Horrendous intellect. Bye for the umpteenth time.

  • @AetheraSora @MrCorndogEater Please stop fighting. It's pointless.

  • @strontXvlieg your body needs fat too, depends how much of it you consume and yes butter is healthy

  • why are people so uptight about cholesterols in eggs and the fat in the butter?? if u eat the right amount, it's actually GOOD FOR YOU! i think this is great, cooking this for breakfast tomorrow!

  • butter is not a healthy diary product .

  • lol it should be more than hot to the touch...if you can touch it without instantly removing your hand, it's not hot enough...in other words, if you yell OW! when you touch it, it's ready :P

  • I LOVE YouTube and the internet. I just watched this video and made my first omlette. It came out awesome! Thanks Rita!

  • i'm inspired by the way you cook! :)

  • hi. i wanna put a cheese on it. what kind of cheese should i use? thanks.

  • Is that fully cooked?

  • Good recipe, but I think I'll leave the water part out lol

  • " get your skillet HOT to the TOUCH??? poor advice Rita, very poor advice.....

  • im sorry , but that's not a perfect Omelette ! sorry !

  • saturated fat raises your HDL

but too much butter will cause low garade inflamation in your liver.

    so moderation is key.

  • Butter..........a HEALTHY dairy ingredient.

Oh you are such a joker. Always nice to see a sense of humour in a cooking video.

  • Super. But no salt or pepper?? WHy?

  • That's right! Stay in the kitchen!

    Lol. Just kidding.

  • And a little tip I can give.... if you ARE using cheese... flip one half of the omelet over the otherhalf (like the does "off-pan") ... but let it sit a few minutes... and let the cheese melt just a little..... yum

  • Could someone please explain to me why "butter is a healthy dairy ingredient" as she says... ?

  • @ToshiroDK That's gotta be the first time I heard "butter" and "healthy" in the same sentence.

  • nice kitchen

  • Hello, I do boxing and I can't afford egg yolks, they have too much cholesterol for me. Will it be the same if I just use egg whites ?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards, Ivo.

  • THIS MUSIC IS EPIC!

  • um, she didnt flip the Omelette . the front side is not cooked : |

  • @Mohi212 ..u dont have to flip an omlet. just put a cover(top) and the heat will surround over the top to help cook it all around..

    ht tp://w ww.youtube. com/watch? v=vREly5F6umY

  • Gr8 receipe............. love the way u teach cooking with the little tips :-))

    Im a fan

  • Listen to the lady guys. butter is very healthy

  • How much water? a teaspoon

  • I'm hungry

  • you really dont need to pull everything in the middle, if you keep it on medium low heat with a lid on it will cook through fine.

  • I am allergic to raw egg but i really want to try an omlette. but i find that when i see omlettes on youtube they dont look totally cooked. would i still be able to have them without my face puffing up like a balloon

  • If only it were that easy lol mine wasn't as pretty

  • Helpful. Thanks, Rita.

  • Funny how many people comment on how butter is supposedly unhealthy. Butter is actually used in some of the healthiest (and tastiest) cuisines in the world - French, Italian, Spanish... Just as Rita says, it's all about eating things in moderation. And now, let's start fixing the Sunday brunch!

  • @teogarno Maybe the frenchs does it, but in spanish cuisine we NEVER, EVER use butter to fry. We use olive oil, or at least, sunflower oil. And I think the same thing goes for the italians.

  • funny how she makes it sound healthy,

with that butter and cheese this is a heartattack waiting to happen

  • Great video! Thanks!

  • Butter is actually a really good way to get vitiman C and B vitimans

  • butters horrible for you, y dnt u throw some beef fat in there 2 :P, if anything y dnt u use an oil that is actually benefitial since frying with butter is the worst

  • So that's how you make an omelet. I thought you had to flip them. :(

  • does not hurt to have the capisum cooked a bit

  • Nice video. I also have an awesome Omelet video on YouTube.

  • Cook those peppers!! At least a little!

  • Beautiful, but...

My mother does it way better!!

    GWHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • I'm a firm believer in "all things in moderation". A bit of butter isn't bad for you. I'm not to sure about being much of a "showman" I'll take it as a compliment! ~Rita

  • @RecipeCook Rita you did a great job, and butter(organic) is good for you in moderation and great to cook with. You handle the pan like a pro, like you've done this more than several times. Thank you

  • @RecipeCook coconut is a much better alternative to butter

  • @RecipeCook You're right about the moderation, but the butter can easily be subsituted for some nonfat pan/cooking spray right? Anyways, nice recipe, it tasted great!

  • yep

i think olive oil is better

  • @merav116 italian?

  • @merav116 Coconut oil is the best!

  • @luiscofresi true

  • @ALuckyDonkey Dont forget the tone of cholesterol in egg yolk

  • @ALuckyDonkey butter is actually better for you than marjarin

  • It Look's really good, Your the best Chef i seen on Youtube! Omge i love your video's Make more please!!

  • Not so perfect, it broke a little.

  • i prefer to sautee my ingedients, then put the egg in the pan, otherwise the omelette is nice and soft and the indredients will be cold and hard. yuck

  • I agree with you. I like my ingredients cooked a little before I put the eggs in.

  • Great Demo, I give her mad props! Good job.

  • butter is a healthy dairy ingredient?

  • @prettehkitteh9 I suppose it would be, as long as not overly consumed. It's considered unhealthy nowadays because of the large consumptions proving to be bad.

As they say, too much of a good thing can be bad for you.

  • That's much better than my attempt!

  • that's a lot of butter. Nice looking omelette though. I bet her husband's a pretty happy bloke.

  • Comment removed

  • Good the skill

  • Chill out

  • maybe she doesn't like salt and pepper maybe there possible could be people that don't have to comply with your taste

  • i agree .

  • not perfect but um ok lol :D

  • omg my kitchen exploded when i tried this

  • i hope everyone is ok...you must be really stupid cause it is rally basic...i will praying for you.

  • lmfao

  • it looked like a blanket when you bunch it all up I didnt know how to describe it, by the way do you address everyone as douche? Just because your on the internet and are able to curse at someone without getting into trouble that doesn't mean you have to. Grow up and get a life.

  • Thank you Grandmasterderek! well said!

  • Wow that seemed really easy and I have messed up about 4 omelettes before deciding to check out a video on how to do it haha.

  • Mmmmm.... I'll try that once I have the ingredients.

  • butter isnt healthy...

  • at all...

  • And never will be...

  • Eggs aren't healthy either.

  • Wrong.

    Eggs are very healthy.

The fat in egg yolk is good fat, which is vital for the body, the brain especially. Your brain needs fat to survive.

Cholesterol...don't fall into the trap and listen to what you're told about the cholesterol in egg yolk.

There's bad ***AND*** good cholesterol. Guess what? Eggs have both. In equal amounts, or, more of the good cholesterol.

The good cholesterol lowers the bad.

Tests were done, showing no rise in cholesterol on people eating eggs every day.

  • @Zeozas spot on.

The NHS website (the UK's national health service) states that eggs are very, very good for you.

The unhealthy aspect of eggs comes from what you normally cook it in, i.e. oil/butter.

  • so use a margarine that lowers cholesterol instead...

  • then, exercise dammit.

  • im sorry but when i tried this i ended up getting all the egg into one giant ruffel in the middle, maybe my pan was too big i dont know but i screwed it
