Pheobe probably should have been a little more upset when she found out Piper was dead. She's not selfish, but at the same time, if she had just left Cole and stayed with her sisters a lot would have changed.
Why does everybody always blame Phoebe calling her selfish and stuff like that? Phoebe is so the opposite of selfish. In the episode 2x02 she was willing to die to save her sisters, now she's willing to stay in the underworld forever to save Piper.

Prue's death made no sense in the series, it was very fast and bad written because it was a political thing (in the real life). Marie Combs said that Kern (the producer) decided to fire Prue after this episode was shot. The episode initially ended with all of them alive. That'S why some things make no sense.

@MinniHowl i dont know if anyone has replyed to you yet, but the reason that prue died was because phoebe wasnt there to say the spell and leo was down there so he couldnt tell if they died unless he went back up there....
It just goes to show that this episode can be a prime example of people pushing others to the max and people not caring whats going on in the real world! Wish people had the time to understand and to help others.

@RENNE1ROBERTS It does make sense. Leo's healing power can't bring back people to life. Although Prue was not dead by the time Leo was able to resurface (we do not see it) Prue had lost too much blood and he did not have the power to save both at once like he did the first time.
I haven't lost a sister so i don't know what its like for phoebe and prue when they start to lose piper (mostly prue) but Prue's anger and fury at the world and her heart slowly breaking. I could feel it seep right through me. I haven't really noticed how good of an actor she is because I've mostly been focused on how she just wants to be "super-witch" but this episode totally changed my interpretation about her. She really loves her sisters and I swear she was about to collapse with fear <3
I miss Prue and I love Paige too. I know there wouldn't have been a Paige without Shannen's leaving, but why did you have to leave Shannen?! Ah well... :/
@serenityxoxo Shannen left because she wanted the show to be more serious and she started to get on the bad side of Alyssa. Alyssa threaten to leave if they didn't do anything about her. Alyssa was also mad because they spent most of the costume budget on prues clothes. In the end Shannen decided she wanted to do more movies.

I believe Shannon Doherty's and Alyssa Milano's constant in real life feuds is what caused the the departure of Doherty. I also heard that she had a three year contract or somesort with the show, so that could of been part of it too. Doherty not only played in this episode but also directed it. This episode is by far one of the my favorite Charmed episodes, It was really intense and went beyond emotion. RIP Prue.
i really think prue's death was a bit rash...i mean couldn't she just have telekinetically shoved the doctor out of the energy ball's path? and what the heck is piper standing around for? she did not even get to use her powers.......and prue could have astral projected herself in the place of dr griffins...even though reaction time was limited...why not let the doctor take the blast?leo could have healed him afterwards....

There is suppose to be a part between the end of this episode and the beginning of the first episode of the 4th season where Pheobe turns evil and comes back to the good side and where Piper dies but somehow (don't know how) she comes back to life. At the end of the third season we see Piper and Prue fly through the wall. Since Leo is still in the underworld with Pheobe, no one's there to heal them. Then the evil guy leaves. What happened after that? Can someone help find the next part?
