I understand that "The Santa Clause" starring Tim Allen, was shot in this town. I am looking for the location of the townhouse they used as Scott Calvin's residence, where he causes Santa to fall off the roof. I already know where Neil and Laura's house is, I am looking for Scott Calvin's condo/townhouse. Can someone tell me where it is (i.e what street)? Was it in this town, or another one? Thank You!
The WASPS of Lakeshore Road Oakville are just PRETEND "WANNABE RICH" with delusions of grandeur! Truth: They are not even remotely close to the "RICH" of Toronto. StatsCan shows that the richest enclave in Oakville (South of Lakeshore)
has an average family income of $284,673/year. And the richest in Toronto?!?
Bridlepath $771,608/yr. Lawrence Park $689,416/yr. Rosedale $659,063/yr. Lytton Park $644,603/yr. Hogg's Hollow $575,776/yr. Forest hill $491,157/yr.
Proximity to lakes don't make communities. Luxury homes don't make communities. People make communities. Oakville residents are well known to be pretentious, arrogant, and racist. Not only do restaurants, and retail stores discriminate against minorities - but schools like Thomas A Blakelock are rife with racism as well.
Oakville is one of the most openly racist communities in the GTA. For the money required to move into upscale homes in Oakville, I would much rather live in the affluent neighbourhoods of Toronto - namely neighbourhoods like lawrence park, rosedale, forest hill, bridlepath, leaside, or edgehill.
Thnaks for the memories man. You passed right by the house I grew up in. Oakville really hasn't changed that much. Keep ridin' bro! I plan on getting another road bike. Right now, I only have a dirt bike out here in BC.
I work in Oakville. I lived in Oakville for 6 years then I bought a house in Burlington just off Burloak (I love Oakville so much that even when I bought a house out of it, it was just cross the street from it :D). I take lakeshore to work to avoid the QEW jam.
Btw, R U sure about that "1day13 hours" to Calif? I never did or even planned that kind of trip but the number sounds too extreme!
@6EvuK9 Hey man, say I want to get a 600cc this summer. I'm 21 and just got my m2 motorcycle license with the MSF course. Insurance is obviously through the roof. Is there any way I can put the bike under my dad's name and have me as a secondary rider to cut insurance costs in a big way? I know a few guys my age that do it but have never gone into detail about how.
Nice and thanks. I used to live there for most my life. Down Stateside now. Strange what we take for granted. Where im living now is just cheep and as generic as the yangee smile. Oakville when we first moved there was a Biker Town. Which can also boast the first Mcdonalds that had a bouncer. Lakeshore used to be called Colburne St.
Guess my age is showing a bit. Miss that old haunt. Thanks again for the memorys.
Totally agree with you on getting on the bike and becoming relaxed.. well.. think thats because I am really concentrated on all things happening around when driving so all other thoughts goes away..
Great vlog and hope you'll get everything sorted out for a long trip.. not crazy at all going on a sportsbike. A friend visited me from Zurich last summer on his Yamaha FZ1n.. thats 3728 miles roundtrip.
Can someone from Oakville help me here?

It could be that I am just concentrating a lot more on the road rather than on things going on in my life. It still helps with stress lol.
I love doing long trips with the car, so I can't wait to try it with the bike.
3728 is quite the distance too :S
Thanks for the input :D
