Thanks for posting this. Seems I'm one of the few who remember this show, which I only saw in reruns at a very young age. Joan was a very popular film comedienne, appearing several times on screen with Eddie Cantor. The only plot line I remember concerned a story in which Joan messed up a dinner invitation, which resulted in Backus eating three spaghetti dinners one evening. Years later I saw the exact plot on the Andy Griffith show, including a rerun only a few days ago on TVLand.
I watched this show when I was a kid. Loved it then & still do.

Underrated 50s sitcom. One of the best theme songs ever. I wonder which show or movie holds the record for oldest teenager?
