My dream is to be a film maker but i cant get into film school, and I just got a 400 subs, which is pretty impressive to me, but I'll never get noticed with these numbers.

I was born in South Korea and spent my life at here. Dropped out high school at the start of 11th grade(16) and never ever regretted it. When I was in high school I had to start the class at 0630 am and ended at 1130 pm (not kidding!), most of people in school cared about universities but nothing. I loved it. I'm 18 now and painting, designing. Nearly 80 thousands of children in S.Korea don't go to school. In Korea instead to the word "homeschoolers" we use "deschooled teenagers"

@JCroftIV enjoy it while you have it! I'm in school this year and Christmas break was the best thing EVER! I actually miss it quite a lot. After I'm done high school I want to take a Bible college course online so I can stay home :) you're so blessed...just take the time to recognize it! :) Good luck with your studies! :)
@movieshop1000 It sounds great, but for the next few years it won't be. I did the same thing and I'm a Senior now. Basically I don't have a whole lot of friends cause it was hard to go out anywhere with anybody you meet in college.

@pteveland actually, i think it's great that someone to notice homeschoolers. I don't know about you, but in MY place, homeschoolers are what we called "too scared/ too cool for school." This applies to MY little town, far from wherever you live though. I bet you're a great kid with a normal life, unlike us who struggle to keep up on studies like a donkey or something. But if you didn't want to get noticed in mid school, I guess you're just great. Who doesn't want a silent hero eh?
P.S. Yes, we have friends. No, we don't all get better grades because our mom grades us (usually worse, actually). No, we don't all have it easier, and no, you don't wish you were homeschooled.

I'm home-schooled, and really, most of us aren't weird. Pretty much wherever my family goes, people love our family, whether it be a restaurant or just a place like Walmart, people love us.
I was homeschooled from 3rd to 7th grade. It all depends on the reasons your homeschooled I think. My entire class bullied me (teachers sometimes included) so my parents got me out of there. lol.
First of all, this is a JOKE, and it's hilarious. Second of all, I used to be a homeschooler, but I realized I was an anti-social freak who's best fried was her little sister (there is nothing wrong with that, it's just not my thing) and so I went to charter school. There are lot's of social homeschoolers, but not all them are.
Some of the most socially confident and charming people I know were homeschooled. Similarly, some of the most awkward. Not all homeschoolers are made equal. Kinda like... people in general?
There are "homeschoolers" and there are the "homeschooled" Homeschooled are normal kids that have an education at home. Now homeschoolers and weird. THe reason people think Everyone who is homeschooled is weird is because the "homeschooled" kids blend in with the school kids

And I like how this video makes us look "geeky" or "nerdy" or "socialized"...And yet you hear all the time in public schools how the nerdy kids and geeks get picked on. @McK21279 It's both my parents and my choice. I mean, I'd be allowed to go to public school, but I think my parents would rather me not. I've considered it before and after looking into it we've decided that homeschooling's just better for us.
Rhett and Link are great, but they could've done a much better home school song. Search for "Tim Hawkins Homeschool" for a great song by a guy who home schools his own kids.
I'm a homeschooler, and some of us are weirdos, but not all of us. When people tell me that I'll be unsocialized, I ask them if they knew I was homeschooled or even thought I was unsocialized before they met me. They usually shut up at that point. I mean, school teaches you to deal with people. So do my parents and stuff like choir and church, and I don't have to deal with drugs or gangs or bullies or anything like that in schools.
@TeenageWitch23 I was a home schooled kid and i hated it. i was sheltered from drugs and bullies. then when i went in to the real world, i was lost, i was so messed up. now i'm in my last year in high school and i am doing so much better. i understand the bad stuff and what to stay away from. I even learned to stand up for myself to those bullies. Now i don't get picked on and i have a 3.8 GPA. I wish i could take back all my home schooling and go to a normal school.

You do have a point but it's not like school is all drugs, gangs and bullies. I'm not saying I'm an expert on this subject, but I think that when you're homeschooled you could miss out on some stuff. If I'd have been homeschooled I'd never have met my friends. sure, sometimes school sucks, but you learn from those experiences, you know?
@Lana8ice Right, they didn't think those things before because they had no idea I'm homeschooled and didn't think I was unsocialized. This one guy I've known for 6 whole years and he just found out I'm homeschooled a couple months ago. We can miss out on some stuff, like band or dances, but I'm a part of a homeschool co-op that has a Sadie Hawkins, a prom, and other dances, plus I'm in church choir and handbells as well as being part of a homeschool National Honor Society and Girl Scouts.
@TeenageWitch23 the fact that you wrote that comment just proves the point is that social skills need to be learned from large communitis of kids. Also if their going to make the generaliztion of all homeschoolers being bad and your going to get mad at it, dont make the same generalizations about public schools. my school of 6000 kids for example has no gangs bullies arent that big of a deal as well as the worst drug people do is pot, which isnt that bad.

The only potential problem to that is culture shock. I've seen some of said friends have a bit of a panic attack when they got immersed in the modern culture. This goes along with people who are sheltered far too much, who I've seen come running to me freaking out about some of the new stuff they've learned! Nothing wrong with those, just room for a shock XD
@Th3HondaGuy Yeah, some people take it too far and shelter their kids totally. But trust me, I'm definitely not sheltered and I only know a couple people who are. I've learned quite enough from books, my friends, magazines, the internet, and TV.
@TeenageWitch23 I completely agree!! I'm homeschooled too. The weird homeschoolers are the exception, not the rule. People always ask me about my social life AFTER they meet me. And then they usually tell me that I'm one of the most social people they've met after they get to know me. I find this video insulting

There are "homeschoolers" and there are the "homeschooled" Homeschooled are normal kids that have an education at home. Now homeschoolers and weird. THe reason people think Everyone who is homeschooled is weird is because the "homeschooled" kids blend in with the school kids

um... hi, homeschooled teenage girl here and I am totaly creepy...in others opinion....but some one said it leads to creepy adulthood....and..YOU MUST HAVE MET SOME KID THAT HAD CREEPY CRAZY PARENTS WHO TAUGHT THEM WRONGLY AND CRAP! homeschooled kids are nice...at least the one i know...but anyway...THIS DIDN'T OFFEND ME :D but i would never whin a spelling bee...i suck at those 8 P

I'm homeschooled, and proud of it. And I like how this video makes us look "geeky" or "nerdy" or "socialized"...And yet you hear all the time in public schools how the nerdy kids and geeks get picked on. I'm pretty sure I'm the most social person I've met, and I could name 1000 others like me. I'm not offended, it cracks me up. But my friend was homeschooled his whole life and got a full scholarship to 3 colleges to play basketball. We're all the same. All equal. we're no different.

I'm a homeschooler, and some of us are weirdos, but not all of us. When people tell me that I'll be unsocialized, I ask them if they knew I was homeschooled or even thought I was unsocialized before they met me. They usually shut up at that point. I mean, school teaches you to deal with people. So do my parents and stuff like choir and church, and I don't have to deal with drugs or gangs or bullies or anything like that in schools.

@TeenageWitch23 I was a home schooled kid and i hated it. i was sheltered from drugs and bullies. then when i went in to the real world, i was lost, i was so messed up. now i'm in my last year in high school and i am doing so much better. i understand the bad stuff and what to stay away from. I even learned to stand up for myself to those bullies. Now i don't get picked on and i have a 3.8 GPA. I wish i could take back all my home schooling and go to a normal school.

You do have a point but it's not like school is all drugs, gangs and bullies. I'm not saying I'm an expert on this subject, but I think that when you're homeschooled you could miss out on some stuff. If I'd have been homeschooled I'd never have met my friends. sure, sometimes school sucks, but you learn from those experiences, you know?

@Lana8ice Right, they didn't think those things before because they had no idea I'm homeschooled and didn't think I was unsocialized. This one guy I've known for 6 whole years and he just found out I'm homeschooled a couple months ago. We can miss out on some stuff, like band or dances, but I'm a part of a homeschool co-op that has a Sadie Hawkins, a prom, and other dances, plus I'm in church choir and handbells as well as being part of a homeschool National Honor Society and Girl Scouts.

Also if their going to make the generaliztion of all homeschoolers being bad and your going to get mad at it, dont make the same generalizations about public schools. my school of 6000 kids for example has no gangs bullies arent that big of a deal as well as the worst drug people do is pot, which isnt that bad.

@TeenageWitch23 I know a few homeschoolers myself, not all are weird, but after all, it's just a poke of fun for people to enjoy :)
The only potential problem to that is culture shock. I've seen some of said friends have a bit of a panic attack when they got immersed in the modern culture. This goes along with people who are sheltered far too much, who I've seen come running to me freaking out about some of the new stuff they've learned! Nothing wrong with those, just room for a shock XD

@TeenageWitch23 I completely agree!! I'm homeschooled too. The weird homeschoolers are the exception, not the rule. People always ask me about my social life AFTER they meet me. And then they usually tell me that I'm one of the most social people they've met after they get to know me. I find this video insulting
