My astronomy teacher didn't tell me about that. I'm guessing he is unaware. It is smaller than Pluto and has and irregular obit so I'm thinking he does not consider it a planet. It has no satellite either and that tends to be something planets, even planetoids have but it's spherical shape is intriguing. If it was torn apart by this planet/star would not it have an odd shape?

@AddDude23 though i dont believe in the existance of niburu..if niburu were to come dangerously close (it is rumoures that niburu is almost as large a jupiter) it would rip the earth into peices......attracting the peices towards its center if its a bit farther away earth will experience tsunamies earthquakes etc due to the gravitational pull of niburu....but if it comes between moon and earth.....that a bit too close and even before it comes there it will rip apart both earth and moon

"Nibiru" is apparently in its own cycle, it rotates every thousands of years, it passes the sun and then comes dangerously close to Earth, causing the Pole Shift (Earth stops moving for a few days) this causes tsunami's, earthquakes etc, which pretty much wipes everything clean. The reason its out of the solar system is because it takes thousands of years to travel, ..and well, its travel is getting closer and expected for 2012. ...apparently.

to LYD1990 - its because it wasnt Nibiru that hit the planet, only one of its moons. as much as it sounds crazy, its not, there are pictures of some sort of planet (Nasa calls is planetX) indeed circulating our system, its close enough to be photographed these days, currently seen are 4 moons of the planet, collision happened with one of them, maybe 5th who knows, it wasnt Nibiru simply because it itself is around Jupiters size! there would be nothing left to make an asteroid belt
