how did they always manage to make amano's amazing drawings into really boring looking sprites that have little to do with the original concept art? Frioniel doesn't even have that cool white hair... why? At least they made steps to correct this in newer remakes. And I know they probably only had enough memory to display like 5 colors on screen at a time... but... still...
@andree1991 No I am a guy who likes learning languages in general (and Japanese video games are a perfect excuse to learn Japanese as well) and who tends to prefer the original language for any medium, thank you very much.
I think this is the hacked Cartridge I got from eBay, It didn't have a good or updated text like the new Roms out there it was actually a disappointment when I got it. I was hoping for a better edit, I am glad I was able to obtain the cartridge but I prefer the fan translations to this.
Maybe the question is already been asked, but is the prototype complete? I would like to play it, but if the game stops and 75 % then id skip this Final Fantasy :P
i'm playing this game on an emulator and it is translated wayyy better then this. goes to show you how much nintendo cared about dialog. jsut like the ghosbuters ending etc.
the reason why it is lvy beaues of Limit space on the NES cartridge or may english text take up more space then Japanese text and all so what worng with Wild Rose nintendo of american
@Hexachloraphine There are very few people who can pull off a decent review while talking, and not completely ruin the whole video with their voice. If you're familiar with Angry Video Game Nerd, he's one of them. However, I agree with you that most people who attempt a "let's play" or whatever just sound like a complete retard when they try and add their voice to the gameplay. If you can't give good commentary and/or if you don't have the voice for it, just shut the hell up and play it.
@LeviathanMist Glad I"m not the only one that thinks that. I don't mind if they talk when it's a review, however when they're playing the game and talking throughout the entire video it gets annoying.
the censorship makes me grateful for neo demiforce's translation. beside, when the ND version prolouge says "The people of Phin fought bravely for their kingdom...and lost.", it sent a shudder up my spine, yo.
Easiest way: Run the game on an emulator, double click your volume control, choose "Options", "Properties", click the radio button for "Recording", fill all the check boxes, click OK, switch recording option to either "Line in" or "Stereo Mix", open a sound recording program and hit record. If that don't work, I dunno...
awww shit I remember playin the FUCK out of this

Since the English version of the original never made it, it wouldn't be considered pirated software if we download the ROM, right?

Translation seems as Engrish as that other game that got named Final Fantasy II. I might give this version a try some time.

Seriously, learn Japanese and play the original instead, the script is much better there.

@Laurelindo Yeah you're suggesting to learn Japanese just to be able to read what it says in a game? you are an low life nerdy anime fan aren't you?

HE SURE IS ALIVE.
I can't help but read that with a Charlie Brown voice.
In my run of this, I actually named Leon Chekov.

It's wierd to think of them not having enough room for the text when Demiforce was able to get it all in there perfectly.
Was it the space in the text box or on the cartridge that was the issue?

"Are you okay?"
"Let us join the Rebelions!"
Nice translating and localizing, but I digress.
it's still a prototype, but if they actually planned on putting that as dialog I'd laugh my ass off.
